David Ray Griffin, the Dean of 9/11 Studies, is back in action! Dr. Griffin, whose presence on the 9/11 truth front-lines has been sorely missed during his recuperation from last summer's health problems, returns to touch bases with the movement he has galvanized -- and to explain why we should not accept reports of passenger phone calls as evidence that any airliners were hijacked on 9/11.

Gosh, why wouldn't this be on the front page?
Mr. Griffin, I am glad you are alive and I wish you a healthy future, but I also wish you would stop inculcating the 9/11 Truth Movement with nonsense and harm it with damaging associations. But, I fear we have all drifted too far apart now for any of us to take each other's advice.

I realize the controversy that posting this radio program would create for some with narrow perceptions here. However I am thankful 911blogger has provided a forum for this intelligent conversation with a significant leader and scholar for the 9/11 truth movement. I believe that with such posts as the Bigger Picture and a perspective on the more significant areas where we most all agree, this should be enough to help us realize the value of both David Ray Griffin and Kevin Barrett to overcome the snarling remarks of a few. Just like on the whole, 911blogger is a special place in support of why most of us are here.. to unite with truth, respect, and integrity.

This is all right after Erik Larson and me were snitchjacketed by John Parulis which won him an invitation to Tod Fletcher's radio show. And for what? Because Erik Larson dared criticize voice morphing.
Hell, I even stood up for DRG in that thread. And I have in the past. But I'm not too keen on celebrating the rampant idiocy in the 9/11 TM anymore.

David Ray Griffin is
David Ray Griffin is deliberately providing disinformation to the movement and to the world. His appearance on the Barrett show should highlight this to rational people. A rule which forbids me from saying this is unfair and counterproductive to the goal of winning for our cause.

If anyone who has listened to the interview can provide quotes or a summary, that would definitely constitute "useful information and commentary." If anyone wants to cite facts about DRG, preferably with links, that would be "useful information and commentary."
Opinions about DRG are not "useful information and commentary," though he's a public figure and subject to criticism. Comments about other users here, other than critique of arguments, evidence and actions, cross the line.

... has erred about CIT and should be constructively informed about why other well-known figures, such as Richard Gage, have distanced themselves from it. It took quite a while for Gage to do so. We are all human beings.
I don't share his stance on the Pentagon. Saying that he is deliberately spreading disinformation, though, is over the top. I suggest that you listen to what he actually says in that interview. Yes, I did.

Three things: I'm not accusing him of being an agent, I'm just saying IMO he must be knowingly spreading false information because (again IMO) he is too smart to be ignorant of the poor quality of his recent work and the strange focus on unsupported claims. Why a person would do that I'm not sure, but that is my personal opinion based on the information available to me. Second, I don't take any pleasure in making these criticisms, I am honestly shocked at this appearance on the Barrett show, and to me it pushes things over the line into a new area where criticisms have to get a little tougher. Third, I have found the credible aspects of DRG's work to be very helpful, particularly in the 2003-5 era. But it is a new time and we need a fresh perspective on what we are doing I think.

You are saying that he is *knowingly spreading false information*, but are not accusing him of being an agent? I'm sorry, but that doesn't cut it for me.
He has erred about CIT in the same way as Gage and some others have. And he has been seriously ill for quite a while, unlike Gage, who has taken back his support of CIT.
I do think that there are problems with the calls issue. I do NOT think one should lead with voice morphing or anything like that. But I do find it strange that someone would not want to talk with his wife, but only with an unknown official, even when offered a chance, or that someone else would only want to talk with his children "later" when offered the chance by his wife in a situation where survival is unlikely. Again, I haven't looked into this in adequate detail, but I think there are questions that one is allowed to ask.

On Monday August 30, 2010, it came to my attention that I was the target of three hit pieces that had been published in rapid succession. The most prominent of these attacks came from Kevin Barrett, a self-declared 9/11 truth leader with a long history of actions and statements considered by many to be extremely discrediting to the 9/11 truth movement. Huh? I'm not. There is no price to big to pay for the truth. I just wish he would spend more time talking about that suspicious cab driver. And perhaps spend an entire evenings talk on the fake phone calls-that a killer for the "official story" I know he just wants to spread the truth. This guy is batting 1000 because the only retraction he's ever made he retracted. He's so awesome! And has never been wrong about anything except maybe not charging enough for his books, I hope he isn't starving.

It is too murky here for me to want Dr. Griffin to respond to these discussions.. though I did learn that he was delighted to learn that his interview on the Kevin Barrett radio show was posted on 911blogger. In that program he had answered many of his critics.. Note that the complaints on this thread has very little to do with the substance of what he said during this interview. Thanks for all at 911blogger who continue to support, appreciate, and use the incredible good work of a special scholar, who has supported the call for investigating the false flag events of September 11 with integrity and substance.
