When False Flags Don't Fly

The Corbett Report - Apr 19, 2010

James Corbett

Those who have studied history know that nothing invigorates and empowers an authoritarian regime more than a spectacular act of violence, some sudden and senseless loss of life that allows the autocrat to stand on the smoking rubble and identify himself as the hero. It is at moments like this that the public—still in shock from the horror of the tragedy that has just unfolded before them—can be led into the most ruthless despotism: despotism that now bears the mantle of "security."

Acts of terror and violence never benefit the average man or woman. They only ever benefit those in positions of power.

Choose Liberty

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Still see a problem

I hope Corbett is right, but I just can't get over how many people seem to have learned so little in the past twelve years, based on the things they say in their response to events like this. They can't seem to conceive how we the people might 'rally together' at a time like this without simultaneously 'rallying around' and 'rallying behind' the authorities and the elites who fill their ranks. They seem to think you can't have one without the other. And again we hear those lines repeated--just as they were twelve years ago--'This is just the way the world is now. We simply have to accept that we won't ever be able to prevent acts like these from taking place.' Of course, belief that terror incidents are just the way of the world now does not prevent such people from supporting certain proposed 'solutions,' like invading more countries or strengthening the police state still further. Such a position will be presented as 'rational' while those who differ--those who think that following the evidence wherever it leads might prove to be a good way of addressing the problem of terrorism, so that we don't necessarily have to live with it ad infinitum--are shunned as whackjobs.

Sorry if this sounds pessimistic. Like I said, I hope Corbett is right. I very much appreciate his presentation here.

The FBI Fosters, Funds and Equips American Terrorists - April 17th, 2013

The Boston Marathon bombing has provoked shock, grief and outrage from around the world. After decades of conditioning, the public automatically equates such terrorism with Muslim radicals. But the evidence shows that every major terror plot on American soil in the past 10 years has been fostered, funded and equipped by one organization: the FBI.
