My email to Jim Roberts, president of Radio America
In response to Mike Reagan's weak apology for threatening Mark Dice, I wrote this email to Jim Roberts, president of Radio America:
Dear Jim,
as you are probably aware, Mike Reagan recently made illegal death threats on his program against political activist Mark Dice, and even contracted the murder of him and others.
Last week on his nationally syndicated show, Reagan stated, "We ought to find the people who are doing this, take them out and shoot them. Really. You take them out, they are traitors to this country, and shoot them. You have a problem with that? Deal with it. You shoot them. You call them traitors, that’s what they are, and you shoot them dead. I’ll pay for the bullets... How about you take Mark Dice out and put him in the middle of a firing range. Tie him to a post, don’t blindfold him, let it rip and have some fun with Mark Dice.”
This is absolutely unacceptable. Mike Reagan should be fired immediately. Don Imus was fired for saying "nappy headed hoes". Please fire Mike Reagan or myself and others will boycott your company and actively campaign against Radio America.
Sincerely,
Brian Kenny

Funny thing. Radio America / Premier Network door was locked at 3 PM on a Monday! Congratulations to Martin on your excellent reporting and how to file an FCC complaint. And for organizing the demonstration.
If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.
Everybody, it's time for emails and phone calls
I've called and left a polite message that I will not be listening to any Radio America and that Mike Reagon should step down as he crossed a line. I sent a nice email also. Please, everybody join me. Don't be nean, just, kill em with kindness. it works.

On the 14th June I added a purely factual account of Reagan's comments in the "Media career" section of his Wikipedia entry at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Reagan
What a surprise - It's gone and the page is now "currently protected from editing".
A review of the page history reveals numerous attempts by several contributors to post a factual and referenced account of this affair. As one comments: "it is not POV that that is incitement to murder - take it to discussion if you disagree"

pretty interesting, Cognito....
..but as you implied not very surprising?
I admit, though, I harbored some hope that Reagan could lose his job? I guess, it was misplaced! It doesn't look like anything will come of it?
...don't believe them!
We need to break down the doors
It's interesting that the editors who deleted the information claimed the story needed reliable third party sources. Apparently a link to a YouTube recording of the program doesn't count, nor does one to infowars.com, of course. Which kind of sums up the bind we're in over 9/11. The nearest to mainstream media coverage seems to be the "left-leaning" weblog, Raw Story. If the mainstream didn't report it - it didn't happen.
