Mesothelioma & Asbestos Cancer

Hazardous asbestos fibers at the WTC exposed more than 110,000 people to the dangerous material; this includes 80,000 tower workers, 30,000 area residents and nearly 4,000 first responders. Asbestos exposure is directly linked to mesothelioma cancer and other asbestos-related diseases.

“You gotta make me do it.” - Barack Obama

I had just walked back into my hotel room yesterday after chaining myself to the White House fence and being arrested, when I saw White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, say that removing troops from Afghanistan was “not an option.”

Hundreds of us were out in front of the White House as this nation is heading into the 9th year of what is the longest overt military misadventure, next to Vietnam.

Sixty-one other people were arrested with me. Organizations calling for the end to torture and for single-payer Medicare for all were in attendance, along with Vet groups and other pro-peace organizations and leaders.

When I saw such a quick response to our protest, I was angry, of course, but I was also excited. First of all, when Obama said that we had to “make him do it,” I knew Obama was just blowing smoke out of his hind end, like he blows cigarette smoke out of his mouth. Secondly, I know we are being heard and I have complete realistic hope that this is the time for US in the USA to make a difference.

The anti-war, peace movement must step our efforts up and take it to the next level of severe militant resistance.

Not only is this country borrowing or printing billions of dollars each month for the military; almost one out of four of us do not have a job, or are grossly underemployed; millions of us have or will lose our homes due to foreclosure or eviction; and 1/6 of us don’t have health insurance.

The police state is getting out of control and if we don’t intensely exercise our rights immediately, we will lose them.

To that end, we are organizing the most ambitious anti-war, peace event ever. We are planning what we are calling, Peace of the Action which will be the largest, most aggressive and sustained action ever done in DC.

We are calling for 5000 people to commit to come to this Nation’s Capitol to participate in daily civil resistance to stop “business as usual,” because “business as usual” in this town is so corrupt and disordered.

We are not calling for this commitment for a day, a week, or a month. We are not even interested in making symbolic gestures. We are calling for this commitment until our demands of: All troops and para-military mercenaries, are ordered out of Iraq and Afghanistan, the drone bombings in the tribal regions of Af-Pak are discontinued and we get about the business of healing, reconciliation and REPARATIONS.

I am going to move to DC to help coordinate these actions and I will be 100% committed with you to be: “all in it to win it.” This time true change will happen, it must.

We must sacrifice a few of our creature comforts to rein in the Empire we live in before it’s too late. We will not start Peace of the Action until we have 5000 people who are willing to join us.

This plan is ambitious, audacious and bold. However, I truly think we have a chance to be successful. We are looking for many coordinators, helpers and hell raisers and are hoping to house, (or tent) and feed everyone until Peace happens. This will take massive infrastructure and financial support.

Hopefully we can begin Peace of the Action by the 7th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq on March 19th.

Please email with any questions, or if you are ready to make a commitment to change the future for the better.

Thank you!

I'm going to schedule...

2 weeks vacation to take part in this. Dependent upon how things are after those two weeks, I may extend it... we shall see.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Here is the shirt...

I'm getting made for the "Peace of the Action."

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? The facts speak for themselves.

Is anyone else...

Planning on doing this?

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? The facts speak for themselves.

i've got questions

I'll be taking part in the protests on the war anniversary, and civil disobedience has a place, but i'm not convinced that inconveniencing the empire and being painted as radicals by the MSM and possibly terrorists by the DOJ is going to result in needed changes. An entirely new model is needed to replace the fascist corporate socialist model that's running our politics/economy/media/society, that's controlled by a relatively small number of extremely wealthy, well-connected and ruthless corrupt individuals. I've got a lot of respect for Cindy Sheehan, and I'm not gonna try and talk her out of this (i hope she's being careful about who she lets into her circle). We had a brief back and forth by email, i finished by asking these questions, which she said she can't answer by email. I might videotape some of what happens, but w/o more info/good answers, i'm not going to participate directly.

1. Do you have any attorneys advising on this? ACLU, CCR, NLG might be good sources

2. It seems likely people are going to be arrested; what are the plans for dealing with that?

3. If people are quickly arrested and removed, what impact is that going to have on the actions?

4. If people are continually getting arrested and having to sit in jail/put up bail/pay fines, what impact is that going to have?

5. Considering recent history in the US, there may be an attempt to construe these actions as "terrorism", especially if there's significant disruption of "business as usual". Have you guys been anticipating the Establishment's possible counter-strategies, and do you have a strategy planned for working with local police, the media, members of Congress, the Obama administration, etc., depending on what the reaction is?

6. I would like to see your stated demands met, but I think they don't go far enough- if you succeed in getting the stated demands met, the system is still going to be rotten, though it would be shaken up, and there will be attempts to restore business as usual. Then what? What about abolishing the Fed and establishing publicly-owned and controlled monetary system, establishing single-payer, full employment and adequate food/shelter for everyone, investing in renewable energy/infrastructure, setting strict limits on pollutants/toxins and cleaning up pollution, requiring paper ballots, ending the corporate/elite control of the political process, ending the resource wars, global network of US military bases, CIA/State Dept subversion of democracy/support for dictators, breaking up media monopolies, etc. etc.?

Some good questions...

Personally, I'm going to represent 9/11 Truth as best as I can. Cindy has already told me that I can show PFT and ITOW, and she also wants one of my t-shirts. We are going to be non-violent. Your suggestions about contacting the police, etc... seem like a good idea. I'm willing to get arrested. I've even had the idea that any arrest will be dedicated to a different 9/11 family member. From what I understand, a fund is being set up to pay for people's arrests. The people of this country have protested. Records showed up to prevent the Iraq War. Records showed up during the 2004 RNC. Records showed up in Sept. 2005. We have protested. We have tried contacting our Representatives and Senators, and have gotten NOWHERE. The same holds true for our media. We have tried to use the system to bring truth, justice, and accountability for the 9/11 attacks. We have done our VERY BEST to use the system. The system hasn't worked. I don't see a problem with disrupting that system.

new American Revolution- non-violent

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does” - Margaret Mead

My main question is- what's going to replace the current corrupt system, of which 9/11 and the cover up and its exploitation are symptoms?

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete" -- Buckminster Fuller

What's really needed is a restoration of the Constitution, or for those in office to simply begin upholding and following it- honoring their Oath of office. However, that would be revolutionary in itself. If Cindy Sheehan and everyone who clogs up "business as usual" can stop the war, great. But after that, there's gonna have to be some real discussion and dialogue about where to go next- or "business as usual" is going to continue. Personally, I think more of the People are gonna have to actively participate in change- and it seems awareness is not at that level yet. Obama, who made it clear as a Senator and Prez candidate that he was a sold-out corporate shill, got massive public support- 3rd party support dropped. It seems a far larger number of people expected 'change', than have realized the Dems and Reps are 2 sides of the same coin, and that the game is rigged by the elite/corporate class.

Popular support for the American Revolution, which was a successful paradigm shift/model change:
"Historians' best estimates put the proportion of adult white male loyalists somewhere between 15 and 20 percent. Approximately half the colonists of European ancestry tried to avoid involvement in the struggle — some of them deliberate pacifists, others recent emigrants, and many more simple apolitical folk. The patriots received active support from perhaps 40 to 45 percent of the white populace, and at most no more than a bare majority.[8]" - Historian Robert Calhoun
