The suspect had a uniquely powerful and controversial pistol, a Belgian-made FN Herstal 5.7mm known in policing circles as a "cop killer" for its armour-piercing design. It's a fact that first reports can be wrong- but they aren't always wrong. It's a fact the 'news' gets spun and scrubbed, too- but it isn't always. The latest story is that 1 guy, with 1 gun (possibly 2), shot at least 43 (possibly 51?) people who were trained for combat- and he reloaded as many as 6 times. This is incredible. How did the military, for hours in their press briefings, think Hasan was dead? Where did the eyewitness reports of multiple shooters come from? Reportedly, multiple eyewitnesses ID'd Hasan as a shooter, including the cop who shot him. Sometimes prosecutors have a tough time proving a case beyond reasonable doubt, but in this one it seems there will be the multiple eyewitness accounts and Hasan's fingerprints on a gun used in the shootings. But prosecutors lie, evidence gets faked, witnesses get paid off/intimidated, people get framed. And in the US, we have an Establishment running our govt, political process, media and economy that consistently lies about all the big issues; how can anyone believe anything they say about anything? I'm amazed that with at least 43 people shot and over 100 rounds fired, that just 2 days after the shooting, we're getting a news report that says "local police said that ballistics tests showed there was only one gunman and that none of the casualties had been hit by bullets fired by the police." "McCaul said the FBI six months ago saw a Web posting by a “Nidal Hasan” that interested them. The posting equated suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades. Officials are trying to confirm whether Hasan was the author of the postings. Lawmakers said if the postings turn out to be Hasan’s, they want to probe why more wasn’t done to monitor him."
