Hi, everyone.

I’ve been working this week on a profile of Condoleezza Rice for Sunday’s 60 Minutes.

This is a woman who is “scary smart” – so intelligent, it’s scary. She seems to have a photographic memory. She can tick off events and dates in a way that made my head spin. She’s also an astute, passionate student of history -- and history is what is giving her enormous confidence and comfort in the crafting of the Bush Administration’s foreign policy.

During our interview, she cited the Civil War, the Cold War, and other dark days in international history to demonstrate that very trying times are often worth the end result.

I think I have a better understanding of her “foreign policy psyche” from hearing about her childhood experiences. She grew up in the heart of the segregated south in Birmingham, Alabama, and literally felt the repercussions of the church bombing in September 1963. Two miles away, she felt her house shake from the blast. Four young girls were killed, including one who had been a playmate of hers. You get the distinct sense that she understands and appreciates the philosophy of terror -- and feels for the unwitting victims of a twisted political agenda that targets the innocent.

Condi Rice is an eternal optimist. She believes that good will triumph over evil, and feels strongly that other countries deserve the same rights that we have. And she believes it’s the role of the United States to stand beside them and support them.

In one of our most intense exchanges, she compared people who say that certain countries and peoples were not equipped to handle democracy to those who discounted and dismissed African Americans before the Civil Rights movement fully took hold.

She’s much warmer, more “girly” and fun than the disciplined, controlled stateswoman you see on the world stage. She doesn’t have a lot of free time, but she preserves Sunday afternoons as “her time.” She likes to play tennis, and is learning how to play golf – she says she likes it and is getting good at “reading the greens.”

And then there’s her music. She loves playing the piano -- it really is “instrumental” in her life. She describes playing music as “transporting” – it’s the only time her brain isn’t focused on world events, because it requires so much to focus on music. If you take your eye off the notes, you can muck it up.

And Condi Rice doesn’t like to muck anything up.

Would everyone in the CIA have been staunchly loyal to Tenet?
How many in the CIA could have been involved in some way without knowing the end result or full purpose of their involvement?
If the planning and execution involved some from the military, some from the arms/security/oil industries, some from PNAC (Mossad connections implied here), some from the FBI and some from the CIA would they not be an organizationed entity unto themselves with no need for Tenet and others in the CIA who reported suspicious communications and activities to Tenet?
Creating the legends that we see as the "jihadist histories" of the hijackers is something that the CIA does.
So as far as that part of it, the CIA would have been involved. But were the CIA personnel who engineered those histories necessarily cognizant of how those histories would eventually come into play? Probably not.
Once the alleged hijackers entered the US they were in the FBI's jurisdiction. The FBI protected them via orders from the top levels of government...Rice? Bush? Cheney?
The hijackers' movements in the US were tracked and probably guided by AbleDanger, a military intelligence outfit.
Since many of the names used by alleged hijackers have been reported to belong to people who are alive, were the "hijackers" really the same guys who the CIA created histories for or were the "hijackers" just inserted into those histories by AbleDanger? The "hijackers" over here, their US histories, were not a product of CIA reporting so it looks like elements of the military took the CIA histories and attached their own patsies to those earlier histories. The people attached to those earlier histories did not act in a manner consistent with their "jihadi" histories. They had to be made more visible over here. That disconnect is important. Especially knowing that many of the people who, over here, were now creating US histories at flight schools, strip clubs, renting small planes, paying for rental cars with credit cards and generally running around leaving paper trails of themselves were ALSO found to have received training at secure military bases in the US.
It's pretty clear that their connections to the US military were not supposed to be known...but like they say...it's hard to keep everything secret in an operation like 9/11.

Which reminds me...the next time somebody claims that 9/11 couldn't have been an inside job because it would impossible to keep it all secret...it wasn't all kept secret.
All the hard evidence the truth movement has gathered is proof that it wasn't all kept secret.
