At least he has not pulled an Alexander Cockburn, but I agree, his excuse is totally disingenuous. At any rate, he applauded the 911 truth movement.
In his newsletter Cockburn sites a professor who uses lots of physics equations in his article (that Cockburn cannot understand either) in order to browbeat 911 truthers.

Even that Zionist shitbrain Bill Maher (with lettuce and kosher pastrami) has now questioned 911 (thanks to Charlie Sheen's prodding). If only Al Gore had won in 2000 we wouldn't be in this kosher pickle and I doubt if the fact that Joe Lieberman as his VP candidate-- an ultra right wing Zionist hawk who posits that the role of the US government is to serve the interests of Israel-- would have really hindered our march toward dumocracy.

What we need is the likes of McGovern, Bill Christison (both ex CIA) and James Petras to provide a full critique of the history of the Pro Israel Lobby with 911. Victor Thorn has a book that broaches the topic, Jon Gold also posted a long essay on the topic. James Petras' powerful book The Power of Israel in the United States is must reading for anyone concerned with the death of American democracy and in direct relation to the 911 issue.

The main problem has always been the lack of whistleblowers coming forward - nobody dares to tell for whatever threats are against them. Now we can identify one of these: Mineta!
How cowardish can people be? Does Mineta think he'll live forever? What's his life worth compared to what is at stake with 9/11? Aren't there any heros anymore? and that in America, the home of the brave, NOT...

I believe they were the ones who sold the first Gulf War (re: babies in incubators). That was before Mineta worked there. But it should tell you that he works for THEM, not US.

thanks man... ya, i know he's definately one of them... but from what ray said, it sounds like mineta is not aware of the contradiction. unless he read the 9/11 commission report or someone told him, he may not even know about the contractions in the final report.

He saw that his testimony wasn't mentioned in it, and figured it wasn't worth the read...

are we supposed to believe that minetta is too dense to realize the implications of his own testimony?...doesn't bode well for his ability of making sure the nations pot holes were filled in properly as the old transportation sec. ;)

McGovern has some good quotes on the back of a couple of 9/11 truth books, including I think the 9/11 AND AMERICAN EMPIRE - PD Scott / Griffin volume, or one like it. He's obviously aware of what the story is. I think he's hedging his public statements for a couple of reasons - possibly if he'd come out earlier he never would have been allowed in the same room as Rumsfeld those few months back. Seems like a decent bloke - I like his comments in TERRORSTORM.
