2001 anthrax attacks

The 2001 Anthrax Deception: A New Book from Graeme MacQueen

Professor Graeme MacQueen has written a new book on the 2001 anthrax letter attacks. These attacks were widely blamed on extremist Muslims and their backers and used to support the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. They were also used to justify and hasten the passage of the USA PATRIOT Act, which was being presented to Congress just as the first anthrax victim grew ill.

MacQueen has begun doing interviews about the book, which has received much advanced praise.

"Professor MacQueen provides yet another piece of the puzzle connecting the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 to the immediately following anthrax attacks of October 2001 that were indisputably conducted by Agents of the United States government." – Francis A. Boyle, author of the U.S.domestic implementing legislation for the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention.

The website for the book can be found at this link.

The CBS Drama Series That--With CIA Help--Predicted 9/11 and the Anthrax Attacks

The CIA seal
The Agency, a major CBS drama series about the CIA that began being broadcast in late September 2001, featured storylines with remarkable similarities to the 9/11 attacks and the anthrax attacks that occurred in the U.S. shortly after them. One of the show's executive producers said the parallels were so apparent that "people are asking me, 'Are we showing the bad guys our script?'" because "it seems like they're kind of following, in some ways, things that we're doing." [1] Significantly, these storylines were written before September 11, and the show was made with extensive assistance from the CIA. Some of the show's storylines, including those resembling 9/11 and the anthrax attacks, were actually suggested to one of the writers by the CIA. [2]

Anthrax letters tied to 9/11 says Dr. Graeme McQueen - AUDIO on KPFA's "Guns and Butter".

9/11 Researcher Dr. Graeme McQueen's Radio Interview on KPFA's "Guns and Butter" with Bonnie Faulkner explains how the anthrax attacks, which began one week after September 11 and were made to look like Muslims did it, were later proven to have come from U.S. Military labs.

McQueen says the delivery of this weapons-grade strain of anthrax in envelopes marked "Death to America" and "Allah Is Great," to various parties including Senators Leahy and Daschle, were crucial in perpetuating the environment of fear and getting the Patriot Act passed (audio):

Anthrax Survivors Still Under NIH Surveillance 10 Years Later

In the 10 years since 17 people survived the deadly anthrax attacks that terrorized the nation in the weeks following 9/11, little recent information is known about their health. But the National Institute of Health has quietly monitored the health of 7 of the those survivors, including [a Falls resident]. The group represents the largest pool of anthrax survivors US researchers have studied.

The ongoing study will provide the 1st comprehensive data on the long-term health effects of anthrax exposure, the project's head researcher said recently. "No one has ever documented follow up in anthrax survivors," said Dr Mary Wright, the principal investigator with the NIH's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease [NIAID]. Before 2001, the last reported US anthrax case occurred in 1976, and it was reported 2 years later, according to the NIH. The only previous anthrax studies were 50 years old and contained little data about long-term effects or possible complications.

Senator Demands Answers On Government Anthrax Investigation Mystery

"A ranking Republican Senator has written to the Justice Department demanding to know why it quickly retracted court papers that called into serious question a key pillar of the criminal case against Bruce Ivins, the FBI’s prime suspect in the 2001 anthrax mail attacks.

Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa, who has long questioned the legitimacy of the FBI’s findings in the case, wrote Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI Director Robert Mueller this week, regarding a filing by Justice Department civil lawyers in July that noted that the Army’s biodefense center at Fort Detrick, Md., “did not have the specialized equipment in a containment laboratory that would be required to prepare the dried spore preparations that were used in the letters.”

In other words, the filing noted that Ivins’ lab, often referred to as the “hot suite”, did not contain the equipment needed to turn liquid anthrax into the refined powder that ended up being mailed to members of the Senate and reporters in the fall of 2001".

Bruce Ivins's lawyer, colleague share details FBI left out

by Megan Eckstein @ The Frederick News-Post

Nine years have passed since five people were killed and 17 sickened by anthrax spores mailed to lawmakers and news outlets, and it's been nine months since the FBI closed its investigation into those attacks.

But new information about the anthrax, the investigation and the suspect still continue to emerge.

On Nov. 29, the University of California's Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation hosted a seminar on the Amerithrax investigation. Experts have spent years doubting that Fort Detrick scientist Bruce Ivins committed the crime, as the FBI alleges, but they have never gathered to share their knowledge and theories until Monday's meeting at the university's Washington Center.

Among those in attendance Monday was John Ezzell, a former researcher at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases who hired Ivins.

FBI formally closes protracted anthrax case

So many lies, so little time. This is an AP preemptive hit piece on anyone who questions this obviously faked "solution" to the anthrax "mystery."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100219/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/us_anthrax_investigation

After Building 7, I find the anthrax scare campaign to be one of the best conversation starters on 911 truth. Deep down inside, nobody buys it.

Wall Street Journal: The Anthrax Attacks Remain Unsolved The FBI disproved its main theory about how the spores were weaponized.

From the Wall Street Journal, no less, comes the following article:

The Anthrax Attacks Remain Unsolved

The article makes the case that the scapegoat Ivins could not have made the anthrax used in the attacks since it had relatively high concentrations of silicon, which he could not have created.

I still believe that the anthrax case is one of the best opportunities for the 9/11 truth movement. The facts are relatively straightforward compared to 9/11. If it could be shown that the anthrax attacks originated from the US government or agents thereof, it would produce a massive shift in the public's thinking. People would then be forced to accept the fact that they have been lied to and the country was attacked through an inside job. That would open up, in my opinion, a huge opportunity to expose the truth about 9/11.

Historical account of Spanish flu shows how bad it can get

Arctic explorer describes bout with 1918 flu in memoir
The evidence is in: expert says Mexican flu could have laboratory origin

News analysis

By Peter Duveen

PETER'S NEW YORK, Thursday, May 14, 2001--As health officials worldwide scramble to stem a flu pandemic, the public may be puzzled as to what all the fuss is about. Flu is generally an illness which, for most, is not more serious than the common cold. But there is good reason for concern, if the past is any judge of what the future could be like.

Because the strain of flu currently spreading around the world is said to be a descendant of the Spanish flu, deaths among those contracting the illness could be far in excess of those produced by other strains of the virus. The Spanish flu, also named the 1918 flu, was known for the high proportion of deaths attributed to those infected by it. It had a mortality rate of 2.5 percent or more, far greater than that of ordinary human flu.

Bush Admin. officially acknowledges that 9/11 anthrax attack was perpetrated by a U.S. Government insider

The Scarlet A: Links between the Anthrax Attacks and 9/11

The author is a Senior Military Affairs Journalist, and former White House Policy Analyst and Special Assistant to the Assistant to the President in the first Reagan Administration. Ms. Honegger is the author of the 9/11 expose “The Pentagon Attack Papers” http://physics911.net/pdf/honegger.pdf and October Surprise (Tudor, 1989), the first book to reveal the true origins of the Iran side of the Iran/Contra scandal.

By insisting that Bruce Ivins, a biowarfare scientist then with the Army’s Ft. Detrick laboratory, was behind the anthrax attacks, the Bush Administration has officially acknowledged that those attacks were perpetrated by a U.S. Government insider -- and not by bin Laden or by Iraq.

Glenn Greenwald denies turning turtle on evidence against Bruce Ivins

I posted a link to my article on Glenn Greenwald's blog on Salon last night, and Greenwald has replied with this comment:

"None of what you wrote or accuse me of has anything to do with what I think. I never said I know who perpetrated the anthrax attacks because . . . I don't know, because . . . I haven't seen the evidence. What I have seen is unconvincing, but I find people like you who just invent theories without facts and then think you've discovered Truth to be exactly the same as those who blindly believe whatever the Government says."

All I want from him is an explanation, as I said here:

Greenwald backpedals

On August 3, 2008, Glen Greenwald wrote in Salon:

"It is so vital to emphasize that not a shred of evidence has yet been presented that the now-deceased Bruce Ivins played any role in the anthrax attacks, let alone that he was the sole or even primary culprit."

Now, in his retraction, er, update from yesterday, he writes:
