The 9/11 Relief Fund was designed to go to victims2019 family members, rescue workers who dug through the asbestos, and projects underway in hospitals for all Americans that were affected. However, like many things, this fund was squandered by Washington politicians. As a result, thousands of sick rescue workers are bed-ridden at home and in hospitals, and are passing away at an alarming rate.

Libertarian Party picks Barr as presidential candidate

DENVER (AP) — The Libertarian Party on Sunday picked former Republican Rep. Bob Barr to be its presidential candidate after six rounds of balloting.

Barr beat research scientist Mary Ruwart, who also sought the party's presidential nomination unsuccessfully in 1983, on the final ballot. The vote was 324-276.

Barr endorsed Wayne Allyn Root, who was eliminated in the fifth round, to be his vice-presidential nominee.

Barr left the GOP in 2006 over what he called bloated spending and civil liberties intrusions by the Bush administration.

The former Georgia congressman said he's not in the race to be a spoiler.

"I'm a competitor and I'm in this to win. I do not view the role of the Libertarian Party to be a spoiler and I certainly have no intention of being a spoiler," Barr said.

Kucinich To Drop Out of Presidential Race

Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich said today that he is ending his long-shot presidential bid, thinning the Democratic presidential field to four candidates.

In an interview with the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Mr. Kucinich said he plans to hold a news conference Friday afternoon where he will announce that he is “transitioning out of the presidential campaign.”

In a video posted on the Plain Dealer’s Web site, Mr. Kucinich said that he had not shared the news with anybody except the newspaper and his wife, Elizabeth.

Mr. Kucinich, who is serving his sixth term in Congress from Ohio’s 10th Congressional District, is up for re-election in 2008.

Well they're off - officially - in the race for the White House, and one-time frontrunners Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton have stumbled out of the gates.

Clinton and Giuliani both broke out 9/11 references a day after the Iowa Caucuses upended the Democratic and Republican presidential campaigns.

"None of this worries me - Sept. 11, there were times I was worried," Giuliani told the New York Daily News, brushing off his sub-Ron Paul finish in a state he virtually ignored.

The former mayor, who left office three months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, is an old hand at going to the 9/11 well when his political fortunes need a boost. He was joined Friday, though, by Hillary Clinton, New York's junior senator, elected just less than a year before the attacks.

"To know that we had failing radios in 1993 and did virtually nothing until September 11 is shocking to say the least," said Gioia [New York City Councilman Eric Gioia]. "To watch this documentary and see the important questions that were asked and seemingly unanswered and ignored for so many years, it's disturbing."

In the midst of his presidential candidacy, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani now faces a looming government investigation into his handling of the radios used by firefighters on 9/11.

The investigation, which will examine how the FDNY ended up using faulty equipment during the terrorist attacks and why Giuliani gave a no-bid contract to Motorola for that equipment, has been endorsed by New York City Councilman Eric Gioia, chair of the city's oversight and investigations committee.

2008 will the next best, and maybe last, chance for 9/11 Truth to achieve a huge media breakthrough.

One key is to get as many 9/11 Truth Activists on the ballot for public office as possible.

If you are a 9/11 Truth Activist, your voice will be multiplied 100 to 1000 to one million fold, depending what office you run for, if you are on the ballot, compared to being just a regular activist.

Federal offices are best because 9/11 is a federal issue. You can run for one of the 435 U.S. House seats, about 33 U.S. Senate races, U.S. President, or U.S. Vice President. You can also run for state and/or local offices as well.

If you are on the ballot, you will be invited to debate forums. You will get TV and radio interviews. You will have a better chance to get your letters to the editor published. You can set up a website. You can speak the truth about what happened on 9/11 to a larger audience than ever before.

Rudy Giuliani attended a fund raiser in Brooklyn at a jewish community center. His speech was mainly focused on, you guessed it, the war on terror. He made fun of Michael Moore's new movie "Sicko" and denounced it with Pro-American HealthCare sentiments. However he failed to mention what he would do for the 1st Responders who are dieing by the thousands.

Former Republican senator wannabe and part-time actor, Fred Thompson, is is set to announce his entering the race for president in 2008 by announcing candidacy in Nashville next week. There can be no doubt that a Thompson presidency would mean business as usual for the war mongers currently in power. In addition, Thompson in the White House would be extremely bad for any expectation of government cooperation from a future executive branch regarding 9/11 Truth. Thompanson's health may very well be an issue, too. Thompson, 64 years old, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma 2 1/2 years ago but has said the cancer is in remission.

The globalists' must be very fearful of Giuliani's continued stagnation in the polls, McCain's increasing irrelevance, and Romney's more than questionable qualifications. The fact that grassroots support for Congressman Ron Paul is showing no signs of abatement in his meteoric rise of support among Americans must scare the bejeezus out of them. Many of Paul's supporters are only just now becoming politically active. In addition, many long-time loyal liberals, who previously would be adamantly opposed to supporting a Republican candidate under any circumstances whatsoever, are finding Paul's message extremely attractive. Though currently of little concern to the globalists' due to her present lead in the polls, Hillary Clinton is increasingly facing an uphill battle to win the hearts of liberals who are stridently against a continued or possibly escalated war in the Middle East. These antiwar liberals have recently shown no hesitation to make Ms. Clinton aware of their sentiment by continuing to boo the senator at recent speeches. I laud their efforts. Dissent is indeed the highest form of patriotism.

Thompson's entering the race is clearly an attempt by the globalists to counter the unbelievable growth in support for a Ron Paul presidency by Americans who represent a wide political spectrum. For the globalists, countering Congressman Paul with Thompson, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, may be an effective way to slow Congressman Paul's runaway freight train of support and ensure that their agenda not be stalled or even derailed entirely.

Kurt Nimmo is reporting that Thompson is now attempting to link Senator Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, both Democrats, to "9/11 “Fringe Anti-American Elements”", despite the documented unwillingness of the vast majority of their party to even be willing to entertain notions contrary to the government's Official Conspiracy Theory (OTC). To me, it appears more that Thompson and the globalists are trying to actually discredit the 9/11 Truth movement by claiming a link between the 9/11 Truth movement and the war-mongering members of the Democratic Party.

"In order to draw attention his way, especially from the blathering ditz-heads over Fox News, Thompson “suggests that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) criticized outgoing Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Peter Pace last week to appeal to ‘fringe’ anti-American elements ‘who think the 9/11 attacks were an inside job,’” writes Think Progress. “Thompson also compares 9/11 conspiracy theories to claims that the war in Iraq was a ’sinister Republican plot.’ He says, ‘Reid has led the attack on the administration, with Nancy Pelosi, charging it lied and tricked America into supporting the war.’ Thompson claims that ‘multiple hearings and investigations into pre-war intelligence findings’ have ‘debunked this paranoid myth,’” the latter an obvious lie, not that the folks watching Fox will catch the drift. Most still believe plots requiring state intelligence services and matrix-like levels of sophistication are hatched by medieval Muslims in remote caves with the assistance of satellite phones, laptops, and kidney dialysis machines."
