On October 7, 2006, former CIA Case Officer and Intelligence expert Robert David Steele posted his review of Webster Tarpley's "9/11 Synthetic Terror";

I am forced to conclude that 9/11 was at a minimum allowed to happen as a pretext for war... and I am forced to conclude that there is sufficient evidence to indict (not necessarily convict) Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and others of a neo-conservative coup d'etat and kick-off of the clash of civilizations...

Today, October 26, 2006, Steele gave an interview on the Alex Jones show that was wide in scope, covering intelligence matters, the dangers of concentrated wealth in the United States, and the evolution in technology that is putting open-source intelligence in the hands of the average citizen with an enquiring mind.

At the end of the interview, Steele chatted briefly with Tarpley on air, giving him kudos for "Synthetic Terror", and reaffirming the book's value as a starting point for a new, serious investigation into the events of 9/11.

This endorsement by such an experienced intelligence insider pushed the sales of Tarpley's book into the Amazon Top 100 for the first time, a feat matched thus far only by Michael Ruppert's "Crossing the Rubicon" in the 9/11 skepticism lexicon.

Controversial and prolific author, political commentator and essayist Gore Vidal is assured that the military's growing revulsion at the Bush junta's policies would ensure they would try and prevent any false flag staged terror attack, while slamming the end of Habeas Corpus and the administration's coup de 'tat of America on a nationally syndicated radio broadcast.

Speaking with the Alex Jones Show, Vidal decried the end of the foundational bedrock of "due process of law," and expressed his astonishment at the recent loss of Habeas Corpus with the passage of the Military Commissions Act , the most egregious assault on the Constitution since the USA Patriot Act of 2001.

"Wow - I didn't think I'd live as long to see that one go, that's Magna Carta - the spirit of Runnymede runs no longer in our republic," said Vidal.

Vidal stressed that the framework for the USA Patriot Act was erected with Bill Clinton's Omnibus Crime Bill, a massive expansion of offenses that would mandate the death penalty, passed in the immediate aftermath of the Oklahoma City Bombing...

About 1 month ago there was a man who worked for NORAD who came out on the alex jones show and in a newspaper editorial confessed he thinks 9/11 was an inside job. He also claimed that he heard talk of an actual stand down order. Alex Jones was promoting this guy and had him on his show 2 days in a row, and he got himself fired from his software job but after that i heard absolutely nothing about him. Any word on him now? I know most of the posters in here though it was disinfo, but i have not come to a conclusion yet .

I don't know if I can listen to Alex Jones anymore. I can understand his anger and frustration but his ranting is often rude (when he interupts callers who've been waiting) and it doesn't really enlighten us or further the conversation. Sometimes a caller will have some intelligence or info to offer and Alex will just go AWOL on air and start foaming at the mouth screaming 'They're scum!!!' It happened again today, the 17th. I stopped listening at that precise moment and chucked the file. In fact, I've chucked all my AJ audio files. I guess that makes me scum. Alex also has no idea as to how to debate anyone. His initial reaction is often to ridicule them with his smarmy sarcastic voice and then he machine guns out a gagillion facts to overwhelm the whole conversation. At this point the person usually tries to reply then Alex puts them on hold etc. I think Alex needs a holiday. I think Alex needs to realize that he may be getting new listeners and that these new listeners will be receptive to information instead of insane rants of a lunatic patriot. I think Alex also needs to realize that some of these listeners are calling to offer information that other listeners like myself are curious to hear about but sadly Alex, of late, just cuts them off with his dribbling and garbled ranting.

Im not sure if this will be well recieved but i am a huge alex jones fan but i find myself periodically cracking up at his little fake soutern accent imitations and colorful insults. Very good comedy all under the shadow of depressing times. but here check out some good quotes from him today
