(Note: this analysis of the alternative media is of great value to 9/11 truthers, as the same misinformation or censoring of the news by the alternative media that is presented here was also accomplished concerning 9/11. And yet the alternative media always gets a pass by the progressives, because, I guess, it is seemingly antiwar. But I blame the alternative media for the fact that 9/11 truth really has never spread like it should have. It has an obligation and responsibility to present the evidence that the official story of 9/11 was a lie, and they failed, for some reason that has never been made completely clear)

The major Western mainstream media outlets have been running a “shock and awe” propaganda offensive against the Syrian government of President Bashar Al Assad for nearly 16 months. The misinformation has been unrelenting, monolithic, unverified, one-sided and, frankly, increasingly preposterous.

Hope it gets the attention of the people in the alternative media censoring the news about Kevin Bracken and 9/11 truth in general. They need to be exposed and criticized, POLITELY, or something like that!

September 11th is indisputably the greatest crime in modern history. Everyone agrees that it has been the catalyst to excuse everything that has taken place in America since: wars, illegal surveillance, and torture, most notably.

It is the story of the century and it is still not to be questioned by the leading so-called alternative news websites that have reached mainstream levels of viewership. 9/11 is the stinky fart in the newsroom, where everyone with half-a-brain knows who cut the cheese, but because the boss is the culprit they’re afraid to be ridiculed or fired for speaking out. It’s authentic cowardice in the first degree.

A recent article on Disquiet Reservations called out specific “alternative” news sites for their cowardly unwillingness to mention 9/11 at all costs. The story they refused to cover happened last week in Australia, where the country’s top Union official, Kevin Bracken, caused international uproar when he was attacked for claiming on a national radio show that “the official story of 9/11 does not stand up to scientific scrutiny.” Of course, on the surface this doesn’t seem like a big story, but what is a huge story is that when the Herald Sun posted an online poll about it, an astounding majority (76.79%) agreed with Bracken, as reported by Excavator:

I have just perused some of the most popular "alternative" media sites this Saturday morning to see what is being written about Ahmadinejad's speech at the UN this week.
Seems like complete avoidance.
Censorship is a better word.
While the msm at least covered the story, the alternative media has avoided the story, hoping it would go away. They are, it seems, under strict guidelines to not mention 9/11 truth or any of the evidence that conflicts with the official story of 9/11.

I looked at Alternet, CommonDreams, Truthout, DemocracyNow, Counterpunch, antiwar.com.
I did see a small mention of the speech on DemocracyNow, as part of their news rundown. No details.
I didn't see anything on antiwar.com's listing of headlines around the world that normally would have had information about the speech.

Nick Kollerstrom wrote a book proving the London 7/7 bombings were an inside job. Now 7/7 is the stick they use to bash Muslims with in the UK the way they use 9/11 in the US. So the British Muslim media are lining up to report on his research, right? Not yet. In fact, they won’t touch it.

Kevin Barrett is an American Muslim personality in the 9/11 Truth movement. Kevin noted how few Muslims in the US were supporting 9/11 Truth, and wondered why. I said they felt other Americans would just peg them as paranoid Arabs who think the CIA is behind everything. Muslims in the West are busy just trying to assimilate and be accepted.

Dave Aossey is a third-generation Lebanese writer. When we asked his take on it, he said most people in the Middle East still believe in the American dream. If you ask them where they’d go if they could live anywhere they liked, they will say the United States. It’s not true that Arabs hate the US at all -- on the contrary!

Just noticed this advertisement in Counterpunch.org for its print edition.  Sort of a shocking headline, and it got my attention because Counterpunch has never presented any 9/11 truth at all, ever.  In fact, I remember Alexander Cockburn of Counterpunch being downright insulting of the entire 9/11 movement.  Like almost all other alternative media, Counterpunch has felt the need, for some still unknown reason, to censor the most proven and well documented evidence provided by the 9/11 truth movement proving the official 9/11 story to be untrue. 

And yet, here is this ad.  Seems odd to me, but I will not again pay the $35 to get the print edition and find that the truth is censored on this media outlet like so many others.  My money is better spent on organizations that support the truth, no matter how unappealing.

If any of you do get this print edition, please tell us where they are going with this ad.

This is very surprising.
Common Dreams, a progressive internet website, has censored EVERYTHING relating to 9/11 Truth except a few mentions in which it mocked the whole 9/11 movement. (I was immediately banned from the comment section after just one innocuous comment, and remain banned after a couple of years).
But here we see in CommonDreams.org an article criticizing NPR for using Phillip Zelikow as a spokesman for focusing on Trust in Government.
Zelikow was the oversear of the 9/11 Commission, and used his power to ensure that the truth was ignored or avoided whereever possible.
And in this article, that was mentioned.
Here is an excerpt:

"What surprised me was what Ms. Hansen, and thus NPR, did not tell us about Mr. Zelikow. He was a neocon who worked very closely with Condoleezza Rice, Dick Cheney, and Carl Rove in the Bush administration. He was one of the primary authors of what has been called the Bush Doctrine -- the right of our country to make preemptive war on other countries in contradiction of international law and our own Constitution. During the Bush administration Zelikow defended the many lies that they told about the reasons for attacking Iraq. And he was put in charge of the 9/11 Commission, the committee that was supposed to tell the world what really happened on 9/11. He ran that committee so that the official version of events could not be questioned. He did not allow witnesses to testify who had seen and heard things that cast the official version into doubt. The commission totally ignored facts that made the official version untenable and it neglected to even mention that World Trade Center tower #7, not stuck by an airplane, also mysteriously collapsed that day."

This is either a big mistake, or things are changing.
I hope it is the latter.

March 9, 2010 "Information Clearing House" -- An editorial in the Washington Post yesterday slammed Japanese member of parliament Yukihisa Fujita because he "seems to think that America's rendering of the events of Sept. 11, 2001, is a gigantic hoax." His "ideas" about the terrorist attacks "are too bizarre, half-baked and intellectually bogus to merit serious discussion."

Fujita, the editorial added, is a member of "the lunatic fringe" who "have spawned a thriving subculture of conspiracy theorists at home and abroad", and "his views, rooted as they are in profound distrust of the United States, seem to reflect a strain of anti-American thought". The piece closes by suggesting that the "fact-averse" Fujita should be removed from office.

New feature film The Reflecting Pool may just be the All the President's Men of our time. No, it doesn't have Hoffman and Redford. But it is a chilling and important fact-based investigative drama.

Writer/director Jarek Kupsc (Slumberland) stars as Alex Prokop, a successful hard-hitting Russian/American journalist. As a last gasp before corporate takeover, his editor (Lisa Black) hands Prokop a bombshell assignment -- investigate the official version of 9-11. Prokop, dismissive of 9-11 skeptics, reluctantly teams with grieving father Paul Cooper (the outstanding Joseph Culp) to investigate.
