(Sacramento, CA)  9/11 Truth activist Mark Graham sent a letter to the 12 insurance companies for the airline defendants sued by Larry Silverstein informing them about evidence of controlled demolition of the Twin Towers and Building 7 and offering to put them in touch with building experts who could provide expert testimony. 

In 2004 Larry Silverstein, who owned Building 7 and had signed a 99 year lease on the Twin Towers just six weeks before 9/11, sued United and American Airlines ¹ and companies providing security at the airports (the "airline defendants").  Silverstein claimed that the airline defendants ² had been negligent in allowing the hijackers to board and hijack the planes and fly them into the Twin Towers.  He claimed that the plane crashes and fires "proximately caused the total destruction" of the Twin Towers, Building 7 and the other buildings in the World Trade Center.  (Complaint in Case 1:08-cv-03722-AKH Document 1 Filed 04/17/08, page 2)  ³

No mention has been made of the fact that it would have been impossible for those plane crashes and fires to have destroyed the buildings or the abundant evidence of controlled demolition.  The defense attorneys could make an affirmative defense of this argument and exculpatory evidence.

Graham sent his letter via certified mail to the heads of 12 insurance companies who insured the airline defendants including Lloyd’s of America, Travelers Cos, Swiss Re, Zurich American, Global Aerospace and U.S. Aircraft Insurance Group and to their attorneys.

Even among progressive news sources on the web, most sites will steer clear of 9/11 Truth. Huffington Post won't touch it. CommonDreams will occasionally flirt with the edges of "conspiracy theories"; Truthout has printed attacks on 9/11 Truth . OpEdNews is one of the few places where readers and authors who believe the outline of the Bush Administration's version of the events of 9/11 and those who think the Bush Administration was itself responsible for the attacks can hang out together and hold heated debates. (The Editorial Board here at OEN is also split. For disclosure, I've been the Board member leading the charge for more coverage.)

You may suspect the heavy hand of censorship, or you may think that these well-established liberal sources are sensibly avoiding speculation and superstition. But whatever your beliefs, you'd have to think that the Wall St Journal is the last place you'd look for revelations about a 9/11 cover-up.

In a surprising reversal the managers of the petition website Avaaz.org have restored a petition asking NIST, Congress and President Obama to acknowledge what the free fall descent of WTC Building 7 means. This was due to a poll of randomly selected Avaaz members, the majority saying they wanted the petition to be restored.

In late April I started a petition asking NIST to come clean about the implications of free fall in Building 7. Avaaz removed it after 89 people had signed it and sent me a message claiming that my petition had violated their community petitions agreement / terms of use. It did not. Despite multiple efforts to reach Avaaz via their website, phone and even a paper letter they never replied.

On May 7 I rewrote the petition and gave it a new title: "Revise the U.S. government final report on the collapse of Building 7".

844 people signed the petition by the evening of May 22. (One friend told me he had seen 883.) Avaaz did not help AT ALL with this petition. They never featured it or made it available on their website. Every one of those 844 individuals who signed it found out about it through a friend. Hundreds of people shared it via facebook, twitter or email.

Unfortunately that night at 6:30 Avaaz removed my petition. Once again they sent me a message claiming that my petition violated their community petitions agreement / terms of use. Once again this was a false claim. Once again they refused to respond to my messages and phone calls.

To all Readers of 911blogger,

Avaaz has still not responded to my message to them about removing my petition about Building 7. I wrote to them last Thursday, as soon as I realized they had taken it down. I also mailed them a letter in the U.S. mail that went out Saturday or today.

They have falsely claimed to me that I created a petition that violated their Community Agreement / Terms of Use.

They have falsely told other Avaaz members that I did so.

They have removed the petition from my account too so that it says that I have not created any petitions.

Will you help me?

Please write to Avaaz and ask them to reinstate my petition.

(AP) NEW YORK — In tossing out a negligence lawsuit, a judge on Friday cited the "strange, improbable" events that destroyed a 47-story World Trade Center building a decade ago on Sept. 11, several hours after the 110-story twin towers fell.

The claims by the Consolidated Edison Co. of New York were "too farfetched and tenuous" to survive, U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein said.

Few people seem to know why the official report for World Trade Center building 7 is false and unscientific. Some might have heard that the National Institute of Standards and Technology (or NIST) has admitted that the building fell in free-fall acceleration for a period of time. Circuit Revives Negligence Suit in 9/11 Substation Destruction

The insurer for Con Edison can sue the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for negligence in connection with the destruction by fire of 7 World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, a federal appeals court ruled yesterday.

Reversing a lower court's grant of summary judgment, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said the Port Authority can potentially be held liable in the $314.5 million suit for the installation of diesel fuel tanks at 7 World Trade.

Aegis Insurance, Con Edison's insurer, claims the presence of the tanks accelerated and ultimately caused the destruction of the building, which housed an electrical substation that powered the World Trade Center.

New Poll: 48% of New Yorkers Support a New 9/11 Investigation into Building 7's Collapse.

As the 10 Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaches quickly, a new Siena poll shows that half of New Yorkers today are in support of a new probe into the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7.

The poll shows that 1 in 3 New Yorkers were unaware of Building 7's collapse, and despite the importance of the events of that day, only 25% have ever seen video footage of Building 7's collapse. Only 30% could identifty the name of the skyscraper. Moreover, the poll shows that only 40% of New Yorkers believe the official explanation that office fires were responsible for the collapse of this 47 story steel-framed structure.

Preface: This essay does not question whether Bin Laden and Al Qaeda attacked us on September 11, 2001, or whether Iran, Saudi Arabia or another nation-state had a hand in the attacks. It focuses solely on a peripheral issue regarding the third building which fell on that terrible day.

Former commander-in-chief President Bush said:

"Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories."

Indeed, the 9/11 Commission was warned not to probe too deeply. For example, ACLU, FireDogLake's Marcy Wheeler and RawStory reported (quoting RawStory):

Senior Bush administration officials sternly cautioned the 9/11 Commission against probing too deeply into the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, according to a document recently obtained by the ACLU.

The current commander-in-chief, Barack Obama, has also warned against questioning 9/11:

As anyone in the military knows, you can't give your opinion unless you get first "permission to speak freely".

We're not in the military. However, I am not entirely sure that matters, given that speaking out against government policies may be considered a type of terrorism in America today.

Many hundreds of high-level military officers, intelligence officers, congressmen, legal scholars and experts have broken the commander-in-chief's orders not to question the government's official narrative regarding 9/11. And see this and this.

But neither Bush nor Obama has instructed us not to discuss World Trade Center Building 7. Indeed, they have never once mentioned the fact that a third building collapsed on 9/11 (and the 9/11 Commission never mentioned it either), even though that building was not hit by a plane.

I'm interested in developing a database that could serve as the back end for a site dedicated to documenting and organizing facts, questions, and arguments related to the science of the destruction of WTC7. I am not a scientist, but I'm interested in doing this so that I can nail down the main points of contention about the destruction in context and in an organized fashion. I find this to be the most problematic thing about discussions which many times just jump from one topic to the next, with participants only hoping they've made a point, without any real idea if they have. I'd like to be able to clearly point to a node in the argument and say "here's where we disagree. are there any related (parent/child) arguments? can this argument be verified? what other information do we need to verify this argument?"

With all the hullabaloo around the "alleged" (and if so illegal) assassination of Osama bin Laden we have almost lost sight about what is the real important issue at hand: The unexplained collapse of WTC 7 and the improbable collapses of WTC 1 and 2 as a result of planes having been flown into them.

While the White house has done everything it seems to convolute the information about what did or did not occur in Abbottabad (which for some reason reminds me uncomfortably of the word Abattoir) it seems to me that we have temporarily lost sight of what is the real issue here. Whatever the role of Osama bin Laden we have a very serious problem which no matter whether he got killed last week or 9 years ago has not been addressed with his death.

Some persons have dodged truth movement problems by exaggerating the amount of scientific expertise needed to ponder them. Even in relatively advanced truth movement products are problems (for the media and government) that are found via simple methods, e.g. just reading the official reports. Lets consider naming explicitly varied categories of problems according to how simple were the methods used to see them.

***Event Turnout Numbers

I called Mike DeRosa from WWUH Radio to get a QUICK estimate on the turnout at the Hartford CT event and how it went because I have been dying just to hear something about it.

Mr. DeRosa said:
~260 People Total
~40 of which were presenters/helpers
~80 were still there at the end of the event
~The Event was filmed from multiple cameras. He is working on trying to get it released and ready for youtube.

All in all the event "went very well" and the guests were "excited and impressed" about the information being presented.
