The NIST report on WTC 7 lays its focus on Column 79 on floor 8 to 13 and some hypothetical damage in its computer modeling.

I want to focus on real visible damage to the columns on the west side of the building near the Verizon building, and there especially on E3 and E4.

I just combed trough the NIST report on WTC 7 regarding these cuts. There is just no word on these cuts. As if they do not know these images.

A few days ago I posted a graphic from NIST's latest WTC7 report that depicts the exterior buckling after global collapse initiation. In no way does it resemble how the structure actually looks when it imploded. I had not noticed that this was the model for the scenario without debris impact damage. You see, NIST actually has models for the scenario without debris impact damage and for the scenario with their best estimated impact damage (the damage to the south side). They conclude that the building would also have collapsed without any impact damage.

So I checked the report for their modeling of the exterior buckling with the best estimated impact damage; the model of what actually happened. It's there but there is something missing: the top 23 floors are not shown and the north side is not shown; the side that can actually be seen in the videos and photographs of the collapse.

Dr. Frank Greening (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) has written a withering critique of the new WTC7 report and has submitted it to NIST as public comment. If this is all NIST can come up with after 7 years, the assisted collapse (demolition) hypothesis becomes all the more relevant.

As 9/11 Family Member, and "Jersey Girl" Patty Casazza said, "one of the reasons why we still continued to fight with... for the Commission, even as we knew it was a farce, is we wanted their words, their lies down on paper."

As most of you know, I have never been a huge advocate for the idea that a "Controlled Demolition" took place at the World Trade Center. Reason being, I'm simply not qualified to tell someone if that did, in fact, happen. Also, for years, the media has tried to paint us as a movement filled with "conspiracy theorists" that think "explosives brought down the World Trade Center", and a "missile hit the Pentagon" without mentioning the 1000's of other problems with the official account. As a result, I can't tell you how many times during activism I've had people come up to me and say, "you're one of those people that think explosives brought down the buildings" as if to say, "you're one of those crazy people that I should ignore." So, I've always tried to push other incriminating information that the media and others DON'T like to talk about.

To gain perspective on NIST's report, lets look at the new WTC 7 building. In an article published about the new WTC7 building in Architectural Record, it states: "Less apparent in the building are the structural and safety innovations that have already affected skyscraper design. Silvian Marcus, the project’s structural engineer and the C.E.O. of Cantor Seinuk, designed the original 7 WTC as a total steel structure, but this time around he developed a robust concrete core and a perimeter of redundant steel columns—to address progressive collapse concerns—that leaves the interior completely open."

This means the same guy who designed the original WTC7 building structure that according to NIST succumbed to complete structural failure in less than seven seconds due to a previously unknown and undeclared phenomenon called "thermal expansion" designed the new building long before NIST's latest analysis and recommendations were made public. I guess that must make Lucky Larry Silverstein a little nervous that his brand new skyscraper may collapse should someone light a fart in the bathroom. Not.

In light of NIST's WTC7 report, it would be good to have a look at DRG's excellent debunking of the widely held misconception that a document by scientists makes it an ipso facto scientific document. From page 23 of "Debunking 911 Debunking:"

World Trade Center building 7 was not a square or a rectangle, but a trapezoid:

As such, the larger side of the building would be heavier and more massive.

NIST claims that column 79 collapsed, leading to the collapse of the whole building.

With the release of the NIST final report on Building 7 we can safely say that the government remains committed to the ongoing cover-up, and that crucial evidence was simply ignored, fairy tales were manufactured, and that's good enough for a lot of media. Perhaps a super-majority of media.

As media, "the press," will not perform its function as society's government watchdog, and will not pursue the gaping holes in this wizard's curtain, it's basically left to us -- you and me -- to clear up this matter for our fellow citizens. We are at a serious disadvantage, and yet the task is not so daunting as rabid "debunkers" would have you believe.

Let's defer to one of their own, the former head of NIST's Fire Science Division (the federal government organization which produced the sham report linked above).

Well, now we know. Thank goodness, too. For the past seven years it's just been driving me crazy. How in the world did WTC number 7 manage to collapse if it was not hit by anything during the 9/11 attack and no explosives were set deliberately. Sheesh, what a mystery . . .

Well, a report by engineers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in suburban Washington was released today and the cause was . . . a fire 400 feet away. Yeah. There you go. A fire up the street a ways. Got it. Wow. So simple. How'd I miss it? I'm embarrassed. According to the New York Times today " . . . investigators determined that debris from the falling twin towers ignited fires on at least 10 floors at 7 World Trade Center, which was about 400 feet north of where the city’s two tallest buildings once stood. The blazes burned out of control for six hours, as the city fire department, devastated by the collapse of the twin towers, abandoned its efforts to extinguish the fire, and the sprinkler system was incapacitated."

The readership at the libertarian web site LewRockwell.com has grown exponentially in the past year or so. The site's daily traffic count now competes respectably with some MSM sites. Most of the site's regular columnists have either remained silent about 9/11 Truth or else they say they don't believe it was an inside job. Things finally appear to be changing -- at least a little (is it because the presidential election is now another fait accompli for our hidden government?). Recently, Lew Rockwell himself very vaguely equated 9/11 with the general concept of an "inside job," and today columnist Michael S. Rozeff comments on the official lie regarding Building 7. He does not mince words. As you read it, keep in mind that a large number of dedicated LewRockwell.com readers might never have been exposed to this information if not for Mr. Rozeff's comment:

Report Says Fire, Not Explosion, Felled 7 W.T.C.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Fires in the 47-story office tower at the edge of the World Trade Center site undermined floor beams and critical structural columns, federal investigators concluded Thursday, as they attempted to curb still-rampant speculation that explosives or fuel fires were responsible for the building’s collapse of Sept. 11, 2001.

The long-delayed report by engineers here at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in suburban Washington is intended to solve one of still lingering central questions about the 2001 attacks: Why did 7 World Trade Center fall, if it was not hit by an airplane.

“Heating of floor beams and girders caused a critical support column to fail,” said Shyam Sunder, the lead investigator. “Video and photographic evidence combined with detailed computer simulations show that neither explosives nor fuel oils played a role in the collapse that brought the building down.”

NIST's explanation for the collapse of World Trade Center 7 on September 11th follows the logic in the cartoon above.

Specifically, NIST claims that the collapse of building 7 is "the first known instance of fire causing the total collapse of a tall building".

But then goes on to argue:
