Cynthia McKinney Has Got My Vote

Power To The People - John Lennon

Even though she doesn't have a chance in hell (especially when you take into account how corrupt the election process is), she has done the work. She has proven herself as someone who is not afraid to search for the truth. She has my support 100%.

Give 'em hell Cynthia. Give them hell.

This is not an invitation for Ron Paul supporters to attack me, or try and convince me otherwise. I have no doubt that if elected, Cynthia McKinney would re-open the investigation. I can't say the same about Ron Paul. Besides, the "election process" in this country is a joke anyway. I may as well vote for who I want to vote for.

Marc Cooper Attacks Cynthia McKinney -- Please Respond

Trying to attack McKinney via Obama with exaggerated distortions is, in some ways, a very good sign -- they are that concerned about her candidacy.

It appears that they need to turn people away from her before anyone can hear what she has to say, especially potential Obama voters. There will be more to come, but we need to respond.

Marc Cooper is a writer for the Nation, a publication that does their best to trash anyone who asks too many questions and defend most official version of events, no matter how transparently. For example the Nation published an attack article on The New Pearl Harbor, by David Ray Griffin, authored by CIA agent, Robert Baer, that started with the line: "Conspiracy theories are hard to kill," and went downhill from there. This is what the Nation and it's writers are about -- defending the official version of events and working hard to take down anyone who asks too many questions through distortion, smears and innuendo.

Wisconsin Truthers Rally for Cynthia McKinney

"Truthers" rally for Cynthia McKinney
By Patrick Marley

Madison -- Former U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney today didn't draw the crowds that other presidential candidates have seen in Wisconsin stops, but she did find support from a constituency that other contenders haven't tapped into:

Members of the 9/11 truth movement.

Those dismissive of the official explanation for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks rallied around McKinney today at a press conference, as did more typical members of the Green Party. Among the so-called "truthers" was Kevin Barrett, the former University of Wisconsin-Madison lecturer who found himself under fire from state lawmakers last year for his view that the attacks were an inside job.

Barrett told reporters the former Georgia congresswoman was a hero of the movement as he passed out bootlegged DVDs of "V for Vendetta."

Framing the 9/11 Cover-Up

UC Berkeley linguistics professor, George Lakoff teaches how selective use of words or "frames" can empower propaganda. In an interview with Lakoff [1], Lorna Tychostup summarizes Lakoff's thesis "The definition behind any particular frame may or may not represent the actual truth, but after hearing or reading that frame enough times, the set of beliefs the frame evokes becomes the truth. The real truth dissipates as it is replaced by a false truth—or in some cases, more simply put, a lie."

McKinney registers to vote in California

When I posted a few photos of the Impeach on the Beach Event last month, there was quite a bit of confusion as to Cynthia McKinney whether or not she is ACTUALLY running on the Green Party ticket for President of the U.S. I found this article today. It was posted online on 10/16/2007. Hope this clears things up...a bit.

McKinney registers to vote in California
Former congresswoman on ballot for Green Party presidential nomination

Former Georgia congresswoman Cynthia McKinney seems to have ended any notions of running again for state office in Georgia and has registered to vote in California where she is still considering a run for president on the Green Party ticket.

In recent weeks McKinney — who last month posted a letter on her Web site declaring that she had no interest in the Green Party nomination — has appeared at fund-raisers in California, where a group named Run! Cynthia! Run! is trying to draft her as the party's candidate in California.

Cynthia MicKinney's Big Issue - 9/11 Truth

The following is a story which appeared in Big Issue No. 765, 8-15 October, 2007, pp. 6-9. John Bird, the publisher, was intent upon meeting her in person, but was off to Japan just as she was arriving in the UK. The reporter, Helena Drakakis, was one of the few British journalists who has covered the 9/11 Truth Movement, having done a story about William Rodriguez and his tour of the UK earlier this year.

Courage Under Fire

A constant thorn in the US government’ side, controversial former congresswoman Cynthia Mckinney tells Helena Drakakis why the authorities have been revealed as ‘huge liars’

Cynthia McKinney hates the word ‘conspiracy’. As a former democrat and congresswoman she is never more than one step away from controversy, and she’s in London to promote the 9/11 Truth Movement, an organisation which disputes the official version of the Twin Towers attacks in 2001.

9/11 an Inside Job, by H. Titan, Ph.D.

In the wake of revelations of murderous deception in the Iraq War, carried out by the Bush Administration, more and more Americans are asking questions regarding the basis for the US "War on Terror".

Half of New Yorkers believe US leaders had foreknowledge of impending 9-11 attacks and consciously failed to act; 66% call for new probe of unanswered questions by congress or New York's Attorney General, see Zogby, and thousands of Americans have signed a petition for a new probe.

A poll shows 89% of CNN Internet users feel this way and over 63% of Canadians feel similarly. On the 3 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks 80% Al-Arabia satellite TV viewers thought others, besides Bin Ladin, were behind 9/11.

(Documentary) American Blackout

http://www.americanblackout.com/

Whatever you think you know about our election systems or Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, this film will make you question further why the news media fails to accurately inform the public. Directed by GNN's Ian Inaba, creator of Eminem's "Mosh" music video, American Blackout critically examines the contemporary tactics used to control our democratic process and silence voices of political dissent.

Many have heard of the alleged voting irregularities that occurred during the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004. Until now, these incidents have gone under- reported and are commonly written-off as insignificant rumors or unintentional mishaps resulting from an overburdened election system.

Video: McKinney's 2005 Congressional Briefing

Did They Get It Right? - July 22nd, 2005.

For those people who haven't seen it, here is Cynthia McKinney's historic Congressional Briefing, in three parts, posted here for educational purposes. If you are unfamiliar with this briefing, you can download the transcript here.

PART ONE - 696 mb .avi

Introduction by Verna Avery Brown, Opening Remarks by Cynthia McKinney, blessing by pastor Rebecca West, a critique of the 911 Commission Report read by Lorie Van Auken, accompanied by Monica Gabrielle and Mindy Kleinberg, further critique by John Judge, followed by ex-CIA analyst Mel Goodman's criticism of the very structure of the Commission, Paul Thompson examines NORAD/FAA response, Nafeez Ahmed examines the "al Qaeda" links, John Newman discusses Omar Saeed Sheikh, Marilynn Rosenthal dicusses prior knowledge (forewarnings) - approx. 3.5 hours

Loretta Napoleoni's testimony lost due to technical glitch, but you can read her testimony in the pdf linked above.

PART TWO - 697 mb .avi

Ann Norton's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED history of the Neocons and Leo Strauss, Peter Dale Scott on 9/11 and Deep Politics, Nafeez Ahmed extends the theme - examing the Muj specifically, Wayne Smith discusses International Law, Bob McIlvaine discusses his attempts to make a difference after the loss of his son, (the next segments focus on Civil Liberties - comments from Jumana Musa - Amnesty International, Elaine Cassel - Civil Rights lawyer, Rebecca Daugherty on Freedom of the Press), Mel Goodman criticizes the "Intelligence Reform" followed by McGovern - approx. 4 hours

(The above two Parts encompass the bulk of the Briefing. Part three is short, here for completeness. McGovern's statement repeats for continuity as it is cut short at end of Part 2.)

PART THREE - 348 mb .avi

Former high-level CIA analyst Ray McGovern further demolishes the Commission, ex-CIA analyst David MacMichael gives a short history of useless Commissions, John Nutter talks about Covert ops, concluding remarks by McKinney - approx. 1 hour

There is a panel on the side that periodically asks questions of the people giving their statements. The panel consists of Ray McGovern, Wayne Madsen, Michael Ruppert and one other gentlemen that I do not recognize (can anyone help on that?). Ruppert fans: At the 2:01:49 mark in Part One, Ruppert busts out some MIHOP. Mr. Goodman is left aghast.

Controlled demolition is not discussed in this briefing. Arguably, CD didn't become the overwhelming topic of discussion for 9/11 skeptics that it is today until Steven Jones came on the scene in early 2006.

Coverage of McKinney's Impeachment Bill Mentions 9/11 Coverup

McKinney introduces bill to impeach Bush - news.yahoo.com

In what was likely her final legislative act in Congress, outgoing Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney announced a bill Friday to impeach
President Bush.

The legislation has no chance of passing and serves as a symbolic parting shot not only at Bush but also at Democratic leaders. Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has made clear that she will not entertain proposals to sanction Bush and has warned the liberal wing of her party against making political hay of impeachment.

McKinney, a Democrat who drew national headlines in March when she struck a Capitol police officer, has long insisted that Bush was never legitimately elected. In introducing her legislation in the final hours of the current Congress, she said Bush had violated his oath of office to defend the Constitution and the nation's laws.

McKinney has made no secret of her frustration with Democratic leaders since voters ousted her from office in the Democratic primary this summer. In a speech Monday at George Washington University, she accused party leaders of kowtowing to Republicans on the war in
Iraq and on military mistreatment of prisoners.

McKinney, who has not discussed her future plans, has increasingly embraced her image as a controversial figure.

She has hosted numerous panels on Sept. 11 conspiracy theories and suggested that Bush had prior knowledge of the terrorist attacks but kept quiet about it to allow friends to profit from the aftermath. She introduced legislation to establish a permanent collection of rapper Tupac Shakur's recordings at the National Archives and calling for a federal investigation into his killing.

Cynthia McKinney's Last Stand

Source: atlantaprogressivenews.com

By Matthew Cardinale, News Editor and National Correspondent (December 08, 2006)

US Rep. Cynthia McKinney today became the first US Congresswoman to introduce Articles of Impeachment against President Bush, as well as Vice President Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice.

Atlanta Progressive News has obtained the following remarks prepared by the Congresswoman, and has learned she was not allowed to read them on the US House Floor. The remarks are expected to become part of the Congressional Record but will not be available on thomas.loc.gov until next week.

The Congresswoman has scheduled an interview with APN for tomorrow to discuss her legislation. Stay tuned here for more.

The remarks are reprinted here in full:

Mr. Speaker:

I come before this body today as a proud American and as a servant of the American people, sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

Throughout my tenure, I've always tried to speak the truth. It's that commitment that brings me here today.

We have a President who has misgoverned and a Congress that has refused to hold him accountable. It is a grave situation and I believe the stakes for our country are high.
