Most people do not know that Abraham Lincoln is a hero for his acts as a freshman member of the House of Representatives in the Congress of 1847-1849. Lincoln demanded that the President of the US provide specific evidence justifying the US invading a foreign country, stating the obvious on the floor of Congress that the President’s claims of a defensive war were lies to propagandize an offensive war for territorial control against a weaker nation.

He did so despite the lack of support from most of his own political party. He demanded the facts despite his being painted by political opponents and the press as “unpatriotic.” The propaganda defeated Lincoln at his next election; his name slurred as “spotty Lincoln.”

We now know that Lincoln was correct that the US President had indeed lied about the cause of war.

Causing unlawful war upon the US is an attack upon our nation, consistent with US Constitution Article III Section 3:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

Causing war against the US is so egregious, it’s the only crime the Founders defined in the Constitution. An unlawful war is the supreme act of betrayal against our military, and a violent overthrow of the US government as we know it by our Constitution. It replaces American limited government under law with unchecked fascism.

The heart of this charge of treason is whether war with Iran would be obviously unlawful or open to a lawful interpretation. Understanding the arguments for war with Iran and the rules of war quickly get to the heart of this crucial issue.

I had previously reported that US citizens are being tortured by our own government when the executive branch says the magic word: "terrorist." Under the 2006 Military Commissions Act (MCA), such Americans can be detained forever without legal right of habeas corpus. If those Americans are brought to trial rather than detained and tortured at the whim of the tyrants, the US government has created an unconstitutional system of judgment and execution: the President/dictator slurring the American as “terrorist” also says who the judges are to determine guilt with available penalty of execution. These three military tribunal judges are allowed to accept “secret evidence” from the government that is unavailable for the defendant to view or challenge if two other words are said: “national security.”

The US government assassinated Dr. Martin Luther King; this is the verdict of the only trial of his murder and in agreement with his late widow, Coretta Scott King, family, and Dr. King’s friend and attorney, William F. Pepper.

Their analysis is that a fascist and dominating faction within the power structure dominating both political parties assassinated the Nobel Prize-winning leader for civil and human rights to prevent his planned summer march and camp-in of Washington D.C. in the summer of 1968 to demand ending the Vietnam War and fully funding domestic programs for the economic and educational advancement of Americans.

Martin Luther King’s family and his attorney, William F. Pepper, won a civil trial that found US government agencies guilty in the wrongful death of Martin Luther King. The 1999 trial, King Family versus Jowers and Other Unknown Co-Conspirators, is the only trial ever conducted on the assassination of Dr. King. The King family’s attempts for a criminal trial were denied, as suspect James Ray’s recant of what he claimed was a false confession was denied.

How bad is the death and injury toll in Iraq since the US invasion? Let’s extrapolate the data from Iraq onto the US and see the effects. Imagine that China is playing the role of the US and the US is in Iraq’s position. Several areas of data might need updating; I welcome your suggestions for any improvement.

The data: According to the John Hopkins School of Public Health published in the esteemed Lancet Medical Journal using the best academic and professional methodology, as of October, 2006, over 650,000 more Iraqis were killed since the US invasion than would be expected in pre-war conditions.[1] Despite this being the only peer-reviewed study, the US government dismissed this study without giving reason, saying that less than 100,000 Iraqis died.[2] Today, the number of violent Iraqi deaths is probably 1.4 million.[3] From these deaths, the Iraqi government reports that five million children have become orphans; horrific even if overestimated by a factor of two.[4]

In 2003, the US Army adapted the “Soldier’s Creed” to program soldiers to shift their Oath of Enlistment from “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” to the heel-clicking, non-thinking, dictator-obeying, “I will always place the mission first.” This fascist propaganda is highlighted in the National Guard’s new 2-minute ad playing in movie theaters, shown below.

Brain-washing soldiers to place the mission first, that is, “just follow orders” given by der Fuehrer (“the leader” in German) rather than being responsible for obeying the Constitution and laws of war dramatizes the US shift into fascism.

An American citizen with a bachelor’s degree from 2003 earned from Brooklyn College in Political Science protested as a student against US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He appropriately earned his master’s degree in International Relations in a different country, at a London university, and continued lawful political protest against unlawful US and British wars.

In 2006 this American was arrested as a “terrorist.” The evidence: a defendant under a plea-bargain deal to reduce his sentence testified that the American loaned his cell phone as needed when the defendant stayed at his apartment while travelling through London. Among the defendant’s calls is at least one to alleged members of al-Qaida in Pakistan to arrange delivery of a few raincoats, ponchos, and socks in the defendant’s luggage.

That’s the evidence of criminal activity: lending his cell phone.
