Dr. Steven E. Jones

Steven E. Jones Debates Leslie E. Robertson

In the lead up to the weekend events in Denver and Boulder Colorado, Steven E. Jones debates one of the structural engineers for the World Trade Center, Leslie E. Robertson on KGNU, Boulder Colorado.

I am trying to get this audio to upload but not having success. Will figure it out later.

[dz: inserting comment] - audio now available here

Thanks DZ!

Due to the heavy snow, KGNU's transmission tower was down this morning when this interview was occurring, so Denver could not receive it. This interesting discussion will be aired tomorrow, Friday, October 27th, at 4:00pm.

You may also go online to hear it: www.KGNU.org; then choose "listings," then look for the morning magazine for today, October 26 and then the time of 8:30am - 9:00am.

Here is the original message:
Sam Fuqua with KGNU will be interviewing Steven Jones, internationally renowned physicist, on his show this Thursday morning, October 26th at 8:35 AM via telephone.

WTC Cleanup Done "Too Quickly"

NEW YORK (AP) -- Workers who spent months searching for human remains in the World Trade Center rubble were often at odds with the agency overseeing the cleanup and frequently asked to halt the operation as they recovered body parts.

As the work was wrapping up in 2002, several officials handling the recovery warned that things were moving too fast. They believed more pieces of the lost 2,749 victims could be found, but they were overruled, two of those officials told The Associated Press this week.

The officials gave the account after a utility crew accidentally discovered body parts last week in an abandoned manhole along the western edge of the site, and forensic experts have since dug down and found more than 100 bones and fragments from skulls, ribs, arms, legs, feet and hands.

"I knew that this was going to happen -- they really just wanted us out of there," said retired Police Lt. John McArdle, the New York Police Department's ground zero commander. "There was not a good exit strategy for some of these places, and if there was, it was poorly done."

The project finished months ahead of city officials' yearlong prediction, and cost about $750 million -- just a fraction of the initial multibillion-dollar estimate.

Steven Jones Takes Early Retirement from BYU

Steve Jones Announces Early Retirement From BYU

Friends and Colleagues:

BYU issued a press release today -- I have elected to take early retirement from BYU. I don't have the actual release -- it will be in local papers tomorrow and may be on the BYU web site now.

I feel that this is a good move for me. I have been contacted by another school about joining their faculty, and may do so -- but no decision on that yet. I think it will work out for the best. I assure you all that I will continue in my research on 9/11 issues, and speaking out -- should have more time for these activities in fact.

With this window of opportunity, I sent the letter below to local newspapers; perhaps it could be posted at st911.org, Jim, if you wish. "Dr. Jones letter to newspaper editors upon announcement of his retirement from BYU," or something like that.

I feel good about this -- not angry with BYU, moving on and happy with it overall.

Thanks for all your support, especially to those who signed the petition at st911.org in my behalf.

My sincere thanks to all my friends in the 9/11 truth community worldwide; we have a great, growing community of intelligent, caring people. We can do this!

Steven Jones Thermate Hypothesis

I certainly have sympathy for Steven Jones and fully support efforts to protect his academic freedom and free speech rights, but I am concerned about how he's handled his examination of the structural steel from the WTC. Mr. Jones gave the impression that he would be writing a new academic paper exclusively on the subject of his samples of the structural steel from the WTC, and that he would be publishing the results of this study in an appropriate scientific journal after his results had undergone a process of peer review. My understanding is that this has not happened. And while I'm holding out hope that something eventually comes of his study I would say that until such time as Steven Jones releases his studies and further, until other studies duplicate his results, we should be wary of citing his analysis of the structural steel at all.

One of the complaints that is most often leveled at those who investigate the possiblity of governmental complicity in the terrorist attacks of 9/11 is that we do not maintain high standards when it comes to the evidence. I think this critique is often wrong, but until Mr. Jones follows through perhaps we should put his research of the structural steel (and probably the CD hypothesis along with it) in the speculative column.

Let's Kick Off the 9/11 Science Campaign...

Launching a 9/11 Science Campaign

The events of the 5th anniversary 9/11 weekend made it known to the Establishment that 9/11 truth is here to stay, and they are fighting back in full force. James Meigs and his Popular Mechanics propaganda engine have gone on a media tour, often appearing unopposed to scoff at "conspiracy theories".

In addition to our current level of activism, in addition to our street actions, we need to accelerate what we are doing in such a way as to completely neutralize media hit pieces. As the 9/11 media hit pieces increase and government/Establishment hired scientists and engineers are trotted out to explain the impossible, we need to bring a stronger degree of scientific credibility behind the controlled demolition thesis.

A recent Scripps Howard poll stated that 36% believed that it was at least somewhat likely that elements of the government were complicit in 9/11. We need the same to happen in the scientific community with regard to the suspicious collapses of the towers.

Let's initiate a 9/11 Science Campaign aimed specifically at scientists and engineers. Let's reach out to the scientists and engineers, the vast majority of whom probably have little or no memory of what the WTC collapses looked like, the vast majority of whom have probably never heard of WTC 7. Send them copies of "Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Completely Collapse?" and "Waking Up From Our Nightmare".

Why We Need a 9/11 Science Campaign:

1. To not do so would be to ignore the obvious - that fire does not cause a steel framed skyscraper to collapse symmetrically, shred itself into fine dust, create rivers of molten steel, and generate such intense fires and heat that persisted into the winter. It should not take a PhD to point this out, but in the infowar, it raises our stature in the eyes of the general public to hear an army of engineers coming forward.

2. It gives us an accelerated credibility that truly lets us leverage our efforts, especially compared to reaching out to the layperson.

3. To protect and validate the brave scientists and engineers who have already gone public. Engineers and college professors who speak out are being ridiculed and sometimes punished for their 9/11 beliefs. Clearly, the Establishment is trying to make an example of people who dare to challenge the official 9/11 fable. But they cannot do this to the 9/11 truth movement if professors speak out in much greater numbers. Cries of "conspiracy theory" by writers such as Alexander Cockburn will ring hollow against an army of serious scientists (not that he'll stop trying).

I graduated from an engineering school sometime ago (Cooper Union, B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1999). I've started with my Alma Mater, in sending out a copy of Jones' paper to some of my professors, and encouraging them to take a closer look at 9/11, in the hopes that more will speak out. I implore everyone to do the same with universities and companies in the U.S. and abroad.

"Top 25 Censored Stories" include Prof. Jones' paper on WTC collapse

Project Censored is "a media research group out of Sonoma State University" in California. It just published its annual "Top 25 Censored Stories".

Guess what? They made Prof. Steven E. Jones' paper "Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Collapse?" their #18 in the list, and they even publish a direct link to it.

However, there are even more goodies for 911 Truthers in this list. It also brings to light...

  • ...that Halliburton sold nuclear technologies to Iran. You know, that very Halliburton company, which is a Texas-based multinational, employing 100.000+ persons and making a 20+ billion $US revenues p.a. Oh, and which also still pays a 200.000 $US p.a. (deferred) salary to US Vice President Dick Cheney. Cheney used to be Halliburton's Chairman and CEO. He still owns quite a large chunk of their stock options. [Story #2]
  • ...that last year alone, Cheney’s Halliburton stock rose by over 3000 percent. Not bad at all. And lots of more interesting facts in their Story #24...

Other interesting stories include...
