The World Trade Center Buildings were built to last. Plane impacts and fires alone could not have accounted for the destruction in New York at the WTC complex.

(CBS/AP) Making reference to what he called the "mysterious September 11th incident" and the "slave masters and colonial powers" of the West, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad excoriated Western member nations in an address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Ahmadinejad said after the speech that as an engineer he's sure the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center in New York were not brought down by jetliners.

Ahmadinejad, in an interview with The Associated Press, says it would have been impossible for two jetliners to bring down the towers simply by hitting them. He says some kind of planned explosion must have taken place.

Recently acquired FOIA helicopter footage from 9/11 hit major media headlines. 

The new video, some of it seen before (@ 4:00 min), is low-mid quality and mostly missing the very important aspects of the WTC  Towers destruction; especially the onset of their destruction. It does however give good perspective to the dust cloud that covered thousands of people in Manhattan.

Over the last 9 years there have been many Freedom Of Information Act Requests filed  pertaining to the events on 9/11/01. Very little of the information that has been acquired has had any major media attention if any at all.

On this week's "9/11 In Context" show, which airs Thursday, February 17, at 3pm ET, Prof. Graeme MacQueen will return to continue the discussion of his superb research. Topics on this week's show will include the eyewitness testimony of first responders about explosions in the Twin Towers and WTC7 before the buildings disintegrated, foreknowledge of the destruction of WTC7, the seismic signals associated with the building disintegrations, and the importance of 9/11 truth for the antiwar movement. Prof. MacQueen is founder of the Centre for Peace Studies at McMaster University in Canada.

Twin towers collapse eyewitness Paul Lemos clearly describes how he witnessed bombs take down the World Trade Center in yet another revealing piece of evidence that NIST was forced to release as part of a recent FOIA request. As we reported in our previous articles, is it really a coincidence that almost every video NIST sat on for years contained bombshell eyewitness testimony of explosives bringing down the towers and Building 7?

Looking through the video from the batch newly released from NIST. Here is a clip titled “NBC News Dub_clip16A” in a folder titled “NBC_News Dub from Jim Remberg.” In the middle of a TV interview, the first Tower collapses. The reporter immediately refers to hearing an explosion and “the reverberations” from that explosion. He repeats this multiple times, and at the end he says that he’s two blocks away and he clearly felt the reverberations. Would you really feel “reverberations” from a gravitational collapse two blocks away? Match that with my previous video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOLsM6BS2r0) in which you can hear a distinct explosion before/just as the collapse occurs.

Looking through the newly released batch of videos from NIST and I found some interesting stuff in the folder "Richard Peskin." I have a edited together bits from four of the clips in that folder where you can hear what sound like explosions (after both towers have fallen), and the videographer (presumably Richard Peskin) saying that he's heard even more. They seem to be located around... Building 7. It all starts moments after the second tower collapsed.

The files I used were: Peskin 25.avi, Peskin 28.avi, Peskin 29.avi, and Peskin 30.avi.

This is a study of the overall downward acceleration of WTC1, the North Tower of the World Trade Center. During this investigation it was discovered that the one feature that kept pace with the original acceleration of the roofline was the leading wave of ejections on the west wall.

A close-up view of debris being ejected from the South Tower of the World Trade Center as the 30-floor top section falls to the east shows numerous smoking projectiles that look like comets. Several of them can be seen to explode. One such exploding projectile is followed here. It ejects two fragments, both of which undergo secondary explosions. (Note, the rising fragment to the left of the projectile under consideration appears to be a tumbling object that alternates from black to white to invisible. It passes behind one of the fragments described in the video.)

I emailed the following comments to NIST today, well before the deadline for submitting comments. I utilized Kevin Ryan's recent critique of NIST's draft report. Gregg Roberts gave useful feedback on the text and "Americanized" the language.

Here are my comments on the long-awaited draft for public comment of NIST's report on WTC 7, issued by NIST on August 21st, 2008.

1. Collapse Models

Of all the events of 9/11 "omitted" by the Commission Report, is this one the most potentially explosive?

If this audio is authentic, then there exist multiple eyewitnesses to the fact that on the morning of 9/11 FDNY personnel summoned the "bomb squad" to King Street, where a "big truck" (also described as a "van")--painted with a mural of planes crashing into Manhattan--was fled by two men and then "exploded". The two men were detained and roughed-up on the scene. And then...?

The mural depicting the aerial attacks connects the truck bombers with the WTC events, and was clearly meant to advertise that connection. Possibly they planned to park the vehicle at their intended target and escape, but were forced to abort their attack and detonate the bomb prematurely.

Is it wise and safe to ignore these "anomalies" in the public record of "the day that changed the world", or should they rather be shoved in the face of every government and media apologist for the OCT and the ongoing murderous farce called the "war on terror"?

How did it get there? Unless there was a car parked in the UPPER floors of the WTC then the ONLY way it could have gotten there is by a BIG EXPLOSION at GROUND LEVEL.

Obviously it was not one of the tires from a plane.

How could a building FALLING DOWN blow this tire out here this far?

As the two entries from the Complete 9/11 Timeline copied below show, several witnesses have recalled seeing large fireballs coming from the bases of each of the Twin Towers when they collapsed on September 11, 2001. From their descriptions, it seems the fireballs erupted at the time the collapses began, or just before.

These accounts are important evidence, strongly refuting official explanations of why the World Trade Center fell. In its final report on the collapses of the Twin Towers, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) claimed the collapses "initiated at the fire and impact floors," and "progressed from the initiating floors downward." This would mean the collapse began, in the case of the South Tower, around the 78th to 84th floors, and for the North Tower, around the 93rd to 98th floors.

Verisimilitude: 1 : having the appearance of truth : PROBABLE
2 : depicting realism (as in art or literature)

This clip is from Fox News on September 11, 2001, and is from a Press Conference given by Mayor Giuliani. In the clip, Mayor Giuliani states that he does not believe gas is responsible for the explosions being reported, and emphasizes that the gas has been turned off.

I believe the reader will find that the following information proves without a doubt that terrorists used an explosive device in the subleves of the North Tower.

I will not attempt the blame game with this premise. I am not a structural engineer or an explosives expert. I do have reasonable doubts about the official story. My research to this point on a personal level has been with a trained explosive expert in the U.S. military and with a construction engineer. I have read reports in support of the NIST and rebuttals to the NIST report. I have also read the NIST report summary as posted online. The reason for this hypothesis is to consider what assisted in the global collapse of the Twin Towers. The existence for this hypothesis is three-fold.

1. The NIST did not attempt to explain the reason for a global collapse nor consider the hypothesis which I proposed. Does that make the existence of explosive devices(ED) invalid? No.

I had not seen the entire interview, he gives a detailed account of his experience.

"In addition to manual dexterity, sleight of hand depends on the use of psychology, misdirection and natural choreography in accomplishing a magical effect. Misdirection is perhaps the most important component of the art of sleight of hand. Using misdirection, the skillful magician choreographs every movement in a routine so even the most critical and observant spectators are compelled to look where the magician wants them to. Two types of misdirection are time and movement. Time is simple; by allowing a small amount of time to pass after an action, events are skewed in the viewers mind. Movement is a little more complicated. A phrase often used is "A larger action covers a smaller action." - Wikipedia: "Sleight of Hand"

Indeed, the perpetrators of 9/11 did not want you to see the coordinated and timed explosion set to occur exactly when the 2nd plane hit.
Certainly, fire and damage cannot coordinate explosions...

Example 1:

NBC veteran reporter Pat Dawson 'blows up' at 9/11 Truther Dan Wallace, who lost his father, Lt. Robert Wallace; a fire fighter who died in the Towers on that fateful day.

Personally, I think Mr. Dawson's frustration is enigmatic of the outrage many of these veteran news reporters must be feeling concerning 9/11... "the GREAT ENIGMA".

For him to snap on Dan that way ON VIDEO in the AGE OF YOU TUBE betrays an inner tourmoil that must be eating these so-called "journalist" alive. An emotional outburst like that can literally cost a journalist his career. Particularly in response to a TABOO subject like 9/11.

Imagine spending twenty years of your life building a career within the so-called "fourth estate"... starting out with very high and noble ideals... only to have your world to be revealed as nothing more than a sham, a con, a veritable travesty of the very things you "claim" to stand for in the Journalist's Creed.

Perhaps that's why Mr. Dawson stormed off in disgust. He was afraid of what he might say next.
