How the FBI Obstructed Justice on 9/11

Two of the alleged hijackers were reported to be living with an FBI informant. Lets look into this interesting fact. By ways of the public record..............

First off, the CIA were tracking the hijackers and knew they were mujihadeen and associated with so called terrorists. They deliberately let them into the U.S.

"A former landlord of two of the September 11 hijackers was an FBI informant at the time, knowledgeable sources confirm to CNN."
http://archives.cnn.com/2002/US/09/11/ar911.hijackers.landlord/

"U.S. intelligence officials said that in January of 2000, when Almidhar and Alhazmi attended a meeting of known terrorists in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that fact was communicated by the CIA to the FBI."
http://archives.cnn.com/2002/US/09/11/ar911.hijackers.landlord/

So the high ups in the FBI were told of these guys already, but the FBI wants to play dumb. Soon they will just flat out show corruption.

Oct. 9, 2001: The Day it all Fell Apart

Reading the new history commons page on a Justice Department "stand down" order to the FBI -- I saw quite a coincidence:

"October 9, 2001: FBI Agents Told to Curtail 9/11 Investigation and Focus on Preventing Future Attacks"

What else happened on October 9?

What prompted this outrageous "stand down" order across the FBI?

From my article:

October 6-8, 2001:

Maria Ressa of CNN reports that 9/11 paymaster Mustafa Ahmad is an alias for a "Sheikh Syed", a 28-year old Pakistani former student at the London School of Economics who was released from an Indian prison in 1999 after being bartered for hostages taken in an airline hijacking that was "strikingly similar to the four hijackings carried out on September 11." Ressa also links "Syed" (hereafter known as Omar Saeed) to the October 1 attack on the Kashmiri legislature.

The invasion of Afghanistan begins.

Pakistani ISI General Mahmud Ahmad (not to be confused with the 9/11 paymaster alias "Mustafa Ahmad") is suddenly dismissed by Pakistani President Musharraf.

'Justifying' Torture: Two Big Lies By Coleen Rowley and Ray McGovern

'Justifying' Torture: Two Big Lies

By Coleen Rowley and Ray McGovern
July 19, 2008

One can assume that former Attorney General John Ashcroft didn’t mean it to be funny, but his testimony on Thursday before the House Judiciary Committee might strike one as hilarious, were it not for the issue at hand — torture.

Ashcroft is the Attorney General who approved torture before he disapproved it, but committee members spared him accusations of flip-flopping.

He explained that he initially blessed the infamous torture memoranda drafted by Justice Department lawyer John Yoo and others in mid-2002 because he (Ashcroft) believed it imperative to afford the President “the benefit of genuine doubt” regarding how to protect American lives in the “war on terror.”

But Ashcroft added that, despite this, when concerns about that earlier guidance for interrogations were brought to his attention, changing his mind “was not a hard decision for me.” A very flexible Attorney General.

1,000,000 NAMES, Not People, but NAMES on the Terror Watch List...

OK...the terror watch list has hit a million NAMES.

In NO PLACE do they say a million people.

SO...

If the name John Smith is on the list then that means EVERY John Smith in America is on the watch list... I think a million NAMES covers just about 99% of America...

This is a clever tactic to put EVERYONE in America on the list but still make it seem like it is only a million people.

If the names on the list are not attached to a certain person than that means that particular name of "Bob Johnson" or "Dan Phillips" can mean that anyone in America with those names are suspect.

I have noticed how the FBI and DHS has carefully made sure to not say "People" on the list...

So...there we have it...we are all terrorists now. Congrats!

Who Planned the Anthrax Attacks? It's the $5,800,000 Question by Justin Raimondo

1st 4 paragraphs, lots and lots of html links- who sent the letter to Quantico before the attacks, trying to pin them in advance on Assaad? Why didn't the FBI investigate the letter sender, who it appears had foreknowledge? Instead, they cleared Assaad and tried to frame Hatfill.

Who Planned the Anthrax Attacks?
It's the $5,800,000 question

You remember the anthrax attacks – or do you? It often seems, to me at least, that this important catalyst for the invasion of Iraq and our supremely wrong-headed post-9/11 foreign policy has been flushed down the collective memory hole. For all the attention that's been paid to that spooky chapter in the history of the "war on terrorism" in the intervening years, it may as well have never occurred. That's why news of the former prime suspect's ultimate vindication – and his victory in a $5.8 million lawsuit in which he accused the feds of unfairly targeting him as a "person of interest" (as John Ashcroft put it) – seems like a visitation from another time, the ghost of 9/11 past, haunting and mocking us. It sends chills down my spine – because, you see, the real culprits are still out there.

"Is there balm in Gilead? Tell me truly, I implore"

So the lid of "incompetence" is banged desperately down on the "botched" investigation into what even the corporate media cannot deny was an unprecedented false-flag WMD attack on the US Congress and the media itself commenced within a week of 9/11.

The Wall Street Journal reminds us that "9/11 architect Khalid Sheikh Mohammed told a military tribunal he was "directly in charge" of "managing and following up on the Cell for the Production of Biological Weapons, such as anthrax and others", and concludes that "this fiasco shows the limits of bureaucratic law enforcement in fighting terror."

But as the neocon media assets strain to disguise an obvious cover-up as the need to remove more "gloves", there remains the ineradicable stench of another "coincidence" involving one Lt. Col. Philip Zack.

Filmmakers from two European countries have turned the lens on U.S. malfeasance, shining a light on some its darker corners. Both films track a hero who struggles valiantly to bring a little justice to this world:

The United States portrays itself as the land of freedom, but the film Kill The Messenger by Mathieu Verboud and Jean-Robert Viallet casts serious doubt on that notion. The film from France documents the cold, crass efforts by the powers-that-be in the U.S. to bring down Sibel Edmonds, an American of Iranian and Turkish origin who was hired by the FBI as a translator in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy. She spent months translating high-security clearance documents.

WaPo Dana Milbank Classifies Sibel Edmonds as "Kiss & Tell"

Edmonds hasn't written a book yet, has she? Though what she's written already could fill one. Milbank also mentions these people who've made statements on or were witnesses to 9/11 related things, i'm not familiar with all the names in his list: George Tenet, Richard Clarke, Paul O'Neill, Christy Todd-Whitman, Karen Kwiatkowski, Coleen Rowley

FBI agents objected to military's 9/11 interrogations, audit finds
A long-awaited Justice Department report says they questioned the legality and effectiveness of certain tactics.

WASHINGTON — FBI agents who assisted with overseas interrogations of suspected terrorists after Sept. 11 often clashed with their military counterparts and refused to participate in the most aggressive intelligence-gathering methods because they doubted they were legal or effective, a long-awaited Justice Department audit found.

At the same time, the report released Tuesday by Inspector Gen. Glenn A. Fine faults officials at FBI headquarters for failing to provide prompt guidance to agents in the field on what to do if they witnessed interrogations using snarling dogs, sexual ploys and other abusive techniques that violated long-standing FBI policy.

Film Exposes the Seduction of Secrecy

"Eight years later came 9/11, famously labeled a failure to “connect the dots.” Eyewash. The CIA, FBI and others had dots. They hoarded them like marbles."

So, was the "failure to prevent" an intentional act to further an agenda, as well as treason and mass murder by US policy makers- or more like manslaughter, only involving "incompetence", criminal negligence, dereliction of duty and horrendous administrative and policy decisions rooted in ignorance, territoriality, ego, partisanship, spite, suspicion- or just the inevitable, "blameless" result an institutionalized culture of secrecy that "supposedly" has been changed? Instead of pursuing these questions, he continues with secrecy issues, the subject of the film being reviewed (in CQ Politics). Article has a nice summary of the bin Laden satellite phone-1998 NSA leak publication-Bush propaganda. In reference to abuse of secrecy:

"Well, that’s the problem, isn’t it? A government of men, as it were, not laws.

F.B.I. Says the Military Had Bogus Computer Gear
By JOHN MARKOFF

SAN FRANCISCO — Counterfeit products are a routine threat for the electronics industry. However, the more sinister specter of an electronic Trojan horse, lurking in the circuitry of a computer or a network router and allowing attackers clandestine access or control, was raised again recently by the F.B.I. and the Pentagon.

The new law enforcement and national security concerns were prompted by Operation Cisco Raider, which has led to 15 criminal cases involving counterfeit products bought in part by military agencies, military contractors and electric power companies in the United States. Over the two-year operation, 36 search warrants have been executed, resulting in the discovery of 3,500 counterfeit Cisco network components with an estimated retail value of more than $3.5 million, the F.B.I. said in a statement.

FBI Backs Off From Secret Order for Data After Lawsuit (Internet Archive)

Was this for your info, 911veritas?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/05/07/AR2008050703808.html

The FBI has withdrawn a secret administrative order seeking the name, address and online activity of a patron of the Internet Archive after the San Francisco-based digital library filed suit to block the action.

It is one of only three known instances in which the FBI has backed off from such a data demand, known as a "national security letter," or NSL, which is not subject to judicial approval and whose recipient is barred from disclosing the order's existence.

NSLs are served on phone companies, Internet service providers and other electronic communications service providers, but because of the gag order provision, the public has little way to know about them. Their use soared after the September 2001 terrorist attacks, when Congress relaxed the standard for their issuance. FBI officials now issue about 50,000 such orders a year.

Knock, knock, it’s the FBI

Be careful how you access those links of naked "collapsing" WTC babies

http://www.networkworld.com/columnists/2008/042408-backspin.html

Just imagine if one day in the near future the FBI comes to your enterprise with warrants that allow them to seize and remove any computer-related equipment, utility bills, telephone bills, any addressed correspondence sent through the U.S. mail, video gear, camera equipment, checkbooks, bank statements and credit card statements. The first question you’d ask is, “Who has done what?”

You’re going to be presume your CEO has been involved in some outrageous stock manipulation, or maybe your CFO has been cooking the books. But no, the agent in charge says: “Someone here clicked on a Web link and we’re going to find out who did it.”

1993 WTC ATTACK: CIA OPERATIVES & THE FBI

"1993 WTC ATTACK: CIA OPERATIVES & THE FBI

Description:

CIA's connection to the bombers of the World Trade Center attack in 1993, and how all of them, except for the FBI informant planted inside the group, had been on the CIA's payroll in Afghanistan fighting the Soviets before settling in the New York area.

Also examined are the entrapments of FBI infiltrated groups where an informant is planted in a so-called terrorist group, but is actually the person who organizes and is the key person in the commission of the crime.

In short this presentation is about how the U.S. government will sometimes create "terrorists" to serve a political agenda."
