But whatever point of view is chosen, Dick Cheney is a central figure. “Principle is okay up to a certain point”, he once said, “but principle doesn´t do any good if you lose the nomination”. He´s surely an elusive character. Not less than Donald Rumsfeld, his close companion. Both of their lifes are inseperably bound with a dark side of recent American history. A large number of entries have been added to the Complete 9/11 Timeline at History Commons, most off which provide new details about the events of the day of September 11, 2001.

One new timeline entry describes a training exercise based on the scenario of a possible terrorist attack that was run on the morning of September 11 by the US Coast Guard in Tampa Bay, Florida, quite close to Sarasota, where the president was at the time. Another entry deals with a meeting scheduled to take place at the Pentagon that morning, regarding a planned "disaster exercise" at the nearby Navy Annex building.

An entry reveals that a number of FBI agents had, for reasons that are unknown, already arrived at the Navy Annex when the Pentagon was hit. Later on, the Navy set up a new command center at the Navy Annex, after its original command center was destroyed in the Pentagon attack.

Several entries describe the futile attempts of intelligence officers at NORAD's Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS) to obtain information about the first hijacking. After learning of the hijacking, a NEADS intelligence officer called the FBI's Strategic Information and Operations Center and the National Military Joint Intelligence Center at the Pentagon, but neither of them could provide any information. Searches on the SIPRNET--the US military Internet system--also revealed nothing. Furthermore, the threat briefing at NEADS that morning had included no indication of an increase in the terrorist threat level.

Some NEADS personnel have said they were monitoring Flight 93 long before the time at which the 9/11 Commission concluded the military was first alerted to this hijacked aircraft. Also, a commander at NEADS complained that an officer from the NEADS battle cab had come down to the operations floor, where he had been "circumventing my system." What is more, NEADS personnel only learned that the president's plane, Air Force One, was airborne about half an hour after it took off from Sarasota.

Some persons have dodged truth movement problems by exaggerating the amount of scientific expertise needed to ponder them. Even in relatively advanced truth movement products are problems (for the media and government) that are found via simple methods, e.g. just reading the official reports. Lets consider naming explicitly varied categories of problems according to how simple were the methods used to see them.

Although virtually all of the structural steel from the Twin Towers and Building 7 was removed and destroyed, preventing forensic analysis, FEMA's volunteer investigators did manage to perform "limited metallurgical examination" of some of the steel before it was recycled. Their observations, including numerous micrographs, are recorded in Appendix C of the WTC Building Performance Study. Prior to the release of FEMA's report, a fire protection engineer and two science professors published a brief report in JOM disclosing some of this evidence. 1

The results of the examination are striking. They reveal a phenomenon never before observed in building fires: eutectic reactions, which caused "intergranular melting capable of turning a solid steel girder into Swiss cheese." The New York Times described this as "perhaps the deepest mystery uncovered in the investigation." 2 WPI provides a graphic summary of the phenomenon.

"False flag terrorism" occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people. As official videographer for the U.S. government, Kurt Sonnenfeld was detailed to Ground Zero on September 11, 2001, where he spent one month filming 29 tapes: "What I saw at certain moments and in certain places ... is very disturbing!" He never handed them over to the authorities and has been persecuted ever since. Kurt Sonnenfeld lives in exile in Argentina, where he wrote "El Perseguido" ( The Persecuted ).
I am sure his 'disturbing findings' included Molten steeland traces of thermite that we know were found after the collapse, providing more proof that thermite explosive charges were used. (Thermite is the only substance that could melt steel ) His recently-published book tells the story of his unending nightmare and drives another nail into the coffin of the government's official account of the 9/11 events and increases the likelihood that 9/11 was a false flag operation.

In the first part he makes some very disturbing claims about the reality of FEMA detainment camps and the possiblity of a totalitarian takeover of the United States with the imposition of martial law. A letter has just been published in The Open Civil Engineering Journal published by bentham.org -OCIEJ is a mainstream, peer-reviewed scientific engineering journal. This event is significant because the authors, Dr. Steven E. Jones, Dr. Frank M. Legge, Kevin R. Ryan, Anthony F. Szamboti, James R. Gourley are known for hypothesizing that on 9/11 WTC 1, 2 & 7 were destroyed by controlled demolition. It might be easier to herd cats than to get a large, diverse, growing movement to focus on any one particular action. The movement is not monolithic and there are distinct disagreements on many aspects of 9/11, although even government officials are finally beginning to come to the consensus that the official 9/11 Report was a massive lie or cover-up and that, there has yet to be a genuine investigation into the crime of the attacks that took place on September 11th 2001.

By happy synchronicity, one of the best spokespeople of the 9/11 Truth Movement, Dr. David Ray Griffin, has also recently published a book- 9/11 Contradictions- An Open Letter to Congress and the Press. The book has been sent to Congressional Representatives, as well as to Senators and succinctly outlines 25 major contradictions within the official story, which together demonstrate that, by definition, a story with so many internal contradictions is an “outrageous” conspiracy theory, which should not be tolerated by honest journalists or public servants. As The Shell Game has moved up on Amazon charts, so has 9/11 Contradictions.

Dr. Steven E. Jones, Dr. Frank M. Legge, Kevin R. Ryan, Anthony F. Szamboti, and James R. Gourley have created an ingenious summary of 14 assertions of fact by NIST and FEMA (that actually contradict their conclusions) that now have to be addressed by the scientific community due to the article's publication in a peer-reviewed civil engineering journal. This is a historic moment, and I am extremely grateful for their consistent efforts.

So, anyway, I'm going to be putting it out there in the world and on the web, and posting updates, new ideas/material as appropriate- please chime in with comments, ideas, links, etc.

Federal law enforcement agencies co-opted sheriffs offices as well state and local police forces in three states last weekend for a vast round up operation that one sheriff's deputy has described as "martial law training".

Given the military style name "Operation Sudden Impact", the initiative saw officers from six counties rounding up fugitives, conducting traffic checkpoints, climbing on boats on the Mississippi River and doing other "crime-abatement" programs all under the label of "anti-terrorism".

I, together with two other individuals (a Doctor of Political Sciences and a Senior Engineer), yesterday submitted the following to a number of NIST personnel, including lead investigator S. Shyam Shunder, who in 2006 said to New York Magazine "But truthfully, I don't really know. We've had trouble getting a handle on Building No. 7". The idea was mainly to remind them that there are people who will be looking at their report (if they come up with a report one day) with a critical eye.

NIST has stated that "no steel was recovered from WTC 7". This is clearly not accurate. FEMA has noted, e.g., that a steel sample from WTC 7 had undergone thinning due to "high temperature corrosion due to a combination of oxidation and sulfidation". Reading 9/11 related forums and articles, I frustratingly often encounter comments from supporters of the "official theory" stating that WTC debris was investigated and that no signs of explosives etc were found. They always fail to mention that no GZ access was allowed for investigation (including FEMA), investigators were only able to scrutinize what was taken to the Freshkills site, obviously we do not know what was NOT taken to Freshkills.

Anyway, this reminded me of the very honest, yet damning article (Jan 2002) written by the editor of "Fire Engineering Magazine" Bill Manning, including the "half baked farce" statement. Below are a few of those quotes :

• To treat the September 11 incident any differently would be the height of stupidity and ignorance. The destruction and removal of evidence must stop immediately.

Dr. Frank Legge has published an excellent article “Conspiracy Theories, Myths, Skepticism, and 9/11: their Impact on Democracy” in the Journal of 9/11 Studies, today. It passed peer review prior to publication.

It begins thus: “Abstract: A discussion of conspiracy theories, myths and skepticism is presented. The importance of skepticism in a society in which myths may be deliberately created by authorities to manipulate the public is stressed. A range of methods of avoiding acceptance of myths, including application of the scientific method, is demonstrated using the events of 9/11. A clear understanding of events, unclouded by myths, is essential for the proper functioning of a democracy.

In this short documentary-style video, I outline the mathematics and science of WTC7 as it relates to its uniform 6.5 second collapse at 5:20 pm on the evening of September 11th. I also briefly touch upon the government analyses conducted by FEMA and NIST, and I compare the collapse to known controlled demolitions and similar steel structures with fire and/or structural damage. Additional info that the viewer may find applicable is that more than half of the diesel fuel was recovered by the two largest underground storage tanks post-collapse (documented by FEMA), and that fires on the north, west, and east sides of the building did not appear to be out of control. In the intro to the vid, the BBC field reporter mysteriously digitizes out of the conversation minutes before WTC7's collapse, after having prematurely reported its collapse 20 minutes before it occured (with the building standing behind the field reporter in plain sight). Also interesting to note, if the hypothesis of NIST is true, then controlled demolition crews only have to weaken one core column in a skyscraper to perfectly implode it.

At 5:20 p.m. on the evening of September 11th, 2001, the Salomon Brothers Building, also known as 7 World Trade Center (WTC7), the northernmost building on the World Trade Center complex, uniformly collapsed in 6.5 seconds. It produced a rubble pile with a radius similar its original dimensions and approximately seven stories tall [1].
