"GUANTANAMO BAY NAVY BASE, Cuba -- Someone else besides the judge and security officer sitting inside the maximum-security court here can impose censorship on what the public can see and hear at the Sept. 11 trial, it was disclosed Monday
The role of an outside censor became clear when the audio turned to white noise during a discussion of a motion about the CIA’s black sites.
Confusion ensued. A military escort advised reporters that the episode was a glitch, a technical error. A few minutes later, the public was once again allowed to listen into the proceedings and Army Col. James Pohl, the judge, made clear that neither he nor his security officer was responsible for the censorship episode.
“If some external body is turning the commission off based on their own views of what things ought to be, with no reasonable explanation,” the judge announced, “then we are going to have a little meeting about who turns that light on or off.”"
YouTube: 9/11 Truthers bullied by security guy who had a cop do his censoring of free speech.
By Doug Brinkman January 5, 2013
Archived 9/11 video footage from July 2010 added to this 2013 talk show discussion on activism. I tried to arrange meetings with Edmonton City Council last year over the on-going harassment by local police and peace officers during my civil information actions that include leafleting and collecting petitions.
Abby Martin of Media Roots went to Occupy Oakland at 4:00 am to cover the second police raid and crackdown against the peaceful protesters at Frank Ogawa Plaza.
The footage shows the intensity in the air leading up to the raid and the insane amount of police presence that showed up to destroy the encampment.
Mayor Jean Quan's legal adviser resigned at 2 am in protest to the heavy police response.
If you know our history you know that we had to work in cooperation with CHP (California Highway Patrol) to be able to do our peaceful demonstrations for 9/11 Truth in peace. In October 2009 CHP shut down our demonstration with bullying tactics and no regard for us or the law. We met with the CHP captain in February 2010 to work out a deal whereby we could do what we wanted and they could be reassured that we were not breaking the law or doing anything dangerous. We first put that plan into place in April 2010. This is the 6th time we've gone freeway blogging with the CHP's cooperation. It has worked every time. We want to let you know that if you want to do a peaceful demonstration it is possible to have the cooperation of the police. It is very desirable too.

A poll has been conducted and is still available for voting at USA Today. The vote is concerning Rashard Mendenhall's loss of his corporate sponsor Champion apparel after his remarks about Bin Laden and 9/11.
The vote results right now will make you cringe, and we need to impact the results:
Civil rights activist seeks to prove anti-terrorism law a violation of free speech
Ralph Fertig, a 79-year-old professor who has fought for civil rights most of his life, wants to be a public advocate for the oppressed Kurdish minority in Turkey.
He's worried the US government, which calls the group a terrorist organization, will throw him in prison for 15 years as a collaborator.
So Fertig has challenged the law as the lead plaintiff in a case the Supreme Court will hear early next week.
Specifically, Fertig is challenging a 1996 provision in the Patriot Act that allows long prison terms for anyone for helps or advocates for terrorist groups in any way. According to government lawyers, the law not only prevents "training" or "assistance" to terrorists, but also the filing of a legal brief or writing an op-ed essay on behalf of a designated terrorist group.
Fertig says all he wants to do is teach Turkish Kurds the philosophies of non-violent protest he practiced as a civil rights activist in the '60s.
What happens when citizens exercising their right of free speech come up against overzealous CHP officers who have decided to put an end to the display regardless of the Constitution and the law?
Watch our exciting video and find out.
To make a long story short we were within our rights to be doing what we were doing, yet a couple of CHP guys who admittedly “don’t care what the law says” came along. We tried so many times to talk with them, to reason with them, but they were not open to it. They just repeated their assertions and ordered us to leave. Threatened with arrest and jail, we took down our banner and left. But we caught almost all of it on camera.

Justice Dept. Asked For News Site's Visitor Lists
Posted by Declan McCullagh
(AP / CBS)
In a case that raises questions about online journalism and privacy rights, the U.S. Department of Justice sent a formal request to an independent news site ordering it to provide details of all reader visits on a certain day.
The grand jury subpoena also required the Philadelphia-based Indymedia.us Web site "not to disclose the existence of this request" unless authorized by the Justice Department, a gag order that presents an unusual quandary for any news organization.
Kristina Clair, a 34-year old Linux administrator living in Philadelphia who provides free server space for Indymedia.us, said she was shocked to receive the Justice Department's subpoena. (The Independent Media Center is a left-of-center amalgamation of journalists and advocates that – according to their principles of unity and mission statement – work toward "promoting social and economic justice" and "social change.")
Voting for nine positions by Thursday for Pacifica Foundation's local station board, KPFK is more important than ever for free speech since Pacifica Radio National Board and interim Pacifica Foundation Executive Director, Grace Aaron's regime eliminated Cynthia McKinney from competition for the Executive Director job, emailing the rejection unsigned and is attempting to defund Amy Goodman's program. In the interest of full disclosure, I am not now, nor previously have I been, a member, formally or otherwise of any “9/11 truth” organizations. However, it is difficult for me to understand the animosity towards those requesting a secondary investigation.
Start with a cage containing 5 monkeys.... this story illustrates how human society keeps doing the same things over and over again because - "that's the way things have always been done around here".

Activist editors at Wikipedia have changed the name of the "World Trade Center Controlled Demolition Hypothesis" page to "World Trade Center Demolition Conspiracy Theories", are removing all links to the paper "Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe" recently published in the refereed Open Chemical Physics Journal (including from the 9/11 Truth Movement page and even Dr. Steven Jones' page), and have banned and/or restricted some users that re-add the links and question their policy.
See the discussion thread at TruthAction.org- many links to relevant pages at Wikipedia; the "Talk" page is very revealing of their bias, hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty:
Wikipedia editors livid over new paper
The new paper has pulled the rug out from under the wikipedia front lines defending the official story and they have now suddenly changed the title of the demolition page from --

Do the Secret Bush Memos Amount to Treason? Top Constitutional Scholar Says Yes- Naomi Wolf Interviews Michael Ratner
Do the Secret Bush Memos Amount to Treason? Top Constitutional Scholar Says Yes
By Naomi Wolf, AlterNet. Posted March 25, 2009.
Legal expert Michael Ratner calls the legal arguments made in the infamous Yoo memos, "Fuhrer's law."
In early March, more shocking details emerged about George W. Bush legal counsel John Yoo's memos outlining the destruction of the republic.
The memos lay the legal groundwork for the president to send the military to wage war against U.S. citizens; take them from their homes to Navy brigs without trial and keep them forever; close down the First Amendment; and invade whatever country he chooses without regard to any treaty or objection by Congress.
It was as if Milton's Satan had a law degree and was establishing within the borders of the United States the architecture of hell.
