New paper at The Journal of 9/11 Studies

A new paper is available at The Journal of 9/11 Studies. This is from Professor Graeme MacQueen, and is called "Did the Earth Shake Before The South Tower Hit the Ground?" Here are some excerpts.

"In the debate over the collapses of the Twin Towers on 9/11, the shaking of the earth that accompanied these collapses has played an important role. This shaking registered clearly on seismographs. Less clear, however, are its causes and the times it began. The National Institute of Standards and Technology emphasizes the role of the debris from the collapsing buildings in producing the seismic signals. In assessing NIST’s hypothesis I focus on the collapse of the South Tower and attempt to determine the time the collapse began, the time the debris from the Tower struck the ground, and the temporal relation of these events to the shaking of the earth that accompanied the collapse. I consider both the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory’s seismic evidence and the evidence provided by a less studied form of seismic instrument, the video camera. I also draw on witness testimony. I conclude that key statements by NIST are false. Major shaking of the earth, and corresponding seismic signals, started well before the debris hit the ground. In fact, it seems certain that the shaking of the earth started before visible signs of building collapse. This evidence is incompatible with the official NIST hypothesis of the cause of the collapse of the Towers."

Thanks to Professor MacQueen for this interesting new work, and for his other great papers at the journal.

Jonathan Kay, "Journalist", comes back for more 9/11 Truth - May 24th, 2009

Jonathan Kay of the National Post showed up at another 9/11 talk, in Walkerton, Ontario, May 24th, 2009, and got an earful from the speakers: Graeme MacQueen, Anthony Hall, and Michael Truscello.

The Public Mythology of 9/11 and the Global War on Terror - May 24th, 2009 - Walkerton, Ontario, CANADA

Hello Fellow 9/11 Truth Seekers,

I am a family doctor that has enjoyed working and living in Walkerton for the last 13+ years. I am hoping you will assist me in promoting and perhaps attending an event that will bring three respected Canadian University professors (two active and one retired) to Walkerton to discuss this topic of global importance. They are also very personable, approachable and willing to dialogue and interact with anyone but especially with fellow truth seekers, perhaps even plan future events and actions. Most of you have some awareness of professors Graeme MacQueen and Anthony Hall. Michael Truscello has attempted to humbly paint himself as the "3rd speaker" but as an active academic, just recently acquiring his professor title despite being warned by some fellow academics that his public ventures into 9/11 truth and University level class on the subject could jeopardize that title. He represents a great example of a youthful and brave academic who deserves our support. Obviously events such as these are intended to raise general awareness of the issue (wake some people up) but it is also an opportunity for those in the movement, be it centrally or peripherally, to meet and network. The hall is an historic building that has great acoustics and an intimate feel with orchestra and balcony seating for 300 http://www.vjhall.on.ca/. Unfortunately Walkerton isn't really close to many places but it also isn't too far from many ( I like to say it's in the middle of nowhere and everywhere ~ 2 hours from London, Toronto and Hamilton). As I reflected on in an email to local media, this sort of thing doesn't happen every day in Bruce County and am hopeful that many of you will find it newsworthy.

I am including the rest of the letter I sent to local media:

Dr. Graeme MacQueen and Dr. Shyam Sunder interviewed on Ontario radio - 8.25.2008

Talk radio station CKNX in Wingham, Ontario hosted a discussion with Dr. Sunder and Dr. MacQueen on Monday morning. MacQueen had this to say of the talk;

This moderated discussion between Shyam Sunder and me took place beginning at 11:05 a.m. on August 25, 2008. The talk show host, Bryan Allen of CKNX Radio, had interviewed Barrie Zwicker and me previously, and I found him very reasonable and open, so when he asked me if I would appear with Shyam Sunder I agreed. I thought Bryan did a good job in this discussion.

I don't offer this radio appearance as proof of my prowess or as a claim of "victory." I think things are much more complex than that. Sunder is a cool customer and in this interview he does well, I think, especially given what I regard as the absurdity of what he's defending. I have no idea how this show would have come across to the average listener: maybe they'd be reassured by him and would conclude I'm a nut. But the questions of both the interviewer and the call-in guy are encouragingly good and suggest that the new report will not be passively accepted by everyone.

In any case, we need to do these debates when we can and after they’re finished we need to listen to them to see where NIST's strong and weak points are and how we might improve our own position and method. It is in this spirit that I offer the audio of this discussion.

The events of September 11, 2001 have changed the course of history, launching and sustaining the Global War on Terror.

These events have from the beginning been shrouded in controversy and a growing movement of people around the world have been bravely calling for a serious and thorough investigation.

WERE WE DECEIVED? COMPLACENT? APATHETIC? . . .COMPLICIT?

Please join us at Walkerton's Jubilee Hall on June 29th and 30th as peace loving and truth seeking academics critically examine the events of 9/11.

Graeme MacQueen - 3.19.2008 - University of Waterloo

911blogger user 'AConfederacyofDunces' felt that Graeme MacQueen's recent lecture at the University of Waterloo was important enough as an introductory piece that it should be viewed on it's own, so here it is;

Alexander Dewdney and Graeme MacQueen speak at University of Waterloo, on March 19, 2008. Approximately 400 people filled Hagey Hall and both speakers received roaring applause for their lectures.
