The Green Party of the United States has issued a statement calling on the the Obama administration's former 'green jobs' advisor to leave the Democrats and switch to the Greens. Included as point # 6 is the argument that, among Greens, Jones, 'need not apolgize for questioning the behavior of the Bush administration in connection with the 9/11 attacks.'

WASHINGTON, DC -- Green Party leaders invited Van Jones, who stepped down recently as President Obama's advisor on Green Jobs, to abandon the Democratic Party and "come home to the Green Party."

911 Blogger posted an invitation to the new Transpartisan Alliance Citizens' Summit meeting in Denver this February. While I and others expressed concerns about the participation of Grover Norquist, it seems the conference generated a good bit of enthusiasm among other truthers.

Well, since then, I've bumped into the below morsel of information that adds a bit more substance to my skepticism.

While leafing through last month's Foreign Affairs magazine published by the Council on Foreign Relations, I noted a section where it had asked various political figures to put together their ideal "Dream Teams" for the next administration. Norquist was one of those asked, and on his list he named Dov Zakheim as his "Dream Team" choice for National Security Advisor. Now, that is a very interesting choice.

Cynthia McKinney is in the news!

And this will only increase as we approach November. She's being covered everywhere right now, C-SPAN, Time, Democracy Now, etc.

I note that some creative journalists are inserting the fictional claim that she lost elections -- any election will do -- because of her statements that the Bush Administration covered up information about the 9/11 attacks. There is zero evidence for these claims, but it's likely they're trying to shut her up now by creating this obvious falsehood, a message. The hardcore left gatekeepers like Huffington Post will unite with the far right on the issue of taking down anyone who speaks out on 9/11.

The party has nominated a former member of Congress for the presidency, a coup for the party that itself has yet to elect a U.S. representative or senator.

The party has nominated a woman for president, no small matter in a year when Democrats have rejected an opportunity to crack the political glass ceiling.

The party has nominated an African-American for president, no small matter in a year when the Democrats have embraced Barack Obama.

And the former member of Congress, the woman and the person of color that the Green Party has nominated is a smart, articulate and outspoken public figure who – despite the fact that she has taken her hits from a media and a political class that never could get comfortable with the idea that a young black women was walking the corridors of power and making no apologies – is more than capable of standing her ground in a presidential race that so far has been longer on style than ideas.

The Ron Paul campaign is over. While he may hang in there for a few more weeks, the hope of Dr. Paul having any sway at a brokered convention has been dashed as he failed to pick up a substantial amount of delegates tonight on Super Tuesday. While he did have some double digit showings in North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, and Alaska, these winner take all states did not boost his profile in the end. The only strong states he has left are Washington and Texas, but after his poor showing tonight it is unlikely that he will succeed in those states. As much as it hurts me to admit it, Ron Paul is finished.

The message below is from an email I received requesting help getting ballot access for the Green Party in Arizona -- Cynthia McKinney will not be on the ballot without the Greens getting ballot access.

This is a one-time effort that has a long-term pay-off, both for 9/11 truth efforts and for the Greens.

The Greens are the only political party that has openly continues to call for a new investigation into the 9/11/01 attacks. They have consistently put out press releases from 2001 onward that question the 9/11/01 attacks and responses, consistently endorse 9/11/01 events, host 9/11/01 speakers at Green events, and so on.

Now that the Greens are running Cynthia McKinney as a presidential candidate, this is our opportunity to help bring 9/11 truth issues front and center in the 2008 presidential campaign.

If you were told by corporate media that Congresswoman McKinney was defeated by another Democratic Congressperson, because she had a run in with a guard at the Capitol, your head must still be spinning because of the multiple lies and distortions corporate media has hit you with. Let’s untangle the lies.

Cynthia McKinney is a key to the corporate media, Democratic, Republican suppression of 9/11 truth, and her story is very illuminating.

It all began with her appearance on KPFA, Pacifica Radio, in San Francisco on March 25, 2002. But, let’s set the stage a bit. Remember this was only seven months after 9/11, after Leahy and Daschle, the only opposition Party members leading challenges to the Patriot Act had been sent US military grade anthrax in the mail, and at a point when too many of the Democrats were fighting with one another to see who could kiss George W. Bush’s *ss first.

On this regional radio program Congresswoman McKinney had the good sense to state several things that seem so obvious now, but to the trembling frightened sheep we called our Congress and Senate on the Dem side, and the goose-stepping GOP on the other side . . . McKinney’s words seemed heretical...
