Hope

R.I.P. Jack Layton "May hope continue from your legacy"

It was announced today that Jack Layton leader of the opposition party in Canada passed away: Over my 5 years as an 9/11 activist I had the privilege at meeting many politicians from all political parties from all levels of Government with my quest for a 9/11 Investigation in Canada. They have been for the most courteous and kind even though most who did question 9/11 were mostly silent concerned about their political careers and did not dare open the controversial box of questioning the events of 9/11 in the public eye. I saw Jack Layton 3 times over two elections, once up close when I gave him a book of hope by David Ray Griffin, to read on the plane, and most recently early spring when he spoke from the podium at the Alberta Art Gallery and at Fort Edmonton. How could you not love this guy with so much love for life and Canadians. He like me wanted our troops home from Afghanistan.

MEDIA ROOTS- Never before Barack Obama’s presidential campaign had I ever seen a candidate brand themselves with a corporate logo. Obama’s official logo appears to be a giant blue “O” sun rising over an American flag horizon, symbolizing the supposed dawn of a new beginning. The manipulative branding of the loaded words “Hope & Change” worked beautifully- most of the world rallied strongly behind Obama as he took on the role of the new world leader.

Shepard Fairey, street artist and Obama iconographer, questions “validity of 9/11 story”

On November 4th, 2009, a year after the election of Barack Obama, artist Shepard Fairey was at the University of Southern California for a conversation entitled “Art, Culture, Politics.”  Fairey lent the Obama campaign his artistic design skills by creating the imagery and layout of the “Hope” and “Progress” posters.  This iconographical work, which now resides in the Smithsonian, was a crucial visual vehicle in Barack Obama’s mega-cultural ascendancy.

We Don't Know How Close to Victory We Are

http://georgewashington2.blogspot.com/2008/07/we-dont-know-how-close-to-victory-we.html

History shows that people usually don't know when we are about to win. We are lousy at knowing whether we have a chance at victory.

When people struggling for liberty and justice face seemingly overwhelming power and impossible odds, they can suddenly breakthrough and win when things seem most hopeless and they least expect victory.

Why We Underestimate Our Chances

Why?

The Deep State and 9/11

The unthinkable – that elements inside the state would conspire with criminals to kill innocent civilians – has become not only thinkable but commonplace in the last century. A seminal example was in French Algeria, where dissident elements of the French armed forces, resisting General de Gaulle’s plans for Algerian independence, organized as the Secret Army Organization and bombed civilians indiscriminately, with targets including hospitals and schools. Critics like Alexander Litvinenko, who was subsequently murdered in London in November 2006, have charged that the 1999 bombings of apartment buildings around Moscow, attributed to Chechen separatists, were in fact the work of the Russian secret service (FSB).

Similar attacks in Turkey have given rise to the notion there of an extra-legal "deep state" – a combination of forces, ranging from former members of the CIA-organized Gladio organization, to "a vast matrix of security and intelligence officials, ultranationalist members of the Turkish underworld and renegade former members of the [Kurdish separatist] PKK." The deep state, financed in part by Turkey’s substantial heroin traffic, has been accused of killing thousands of civilians, in incidents such as the lethal bomb attack in November 2005 on a bookshop in Semdinli. This attack, initially attributed to the Kurdish separatist PKK, turned out to have been committed by members of Turkey's paramilitary police intelligence service, together with a former PKK member turned informer. On April 23, 2008, the former Interior Minister Mehmet Agar was ordered to stand trial for his role in this dirty war during the 1990s.

Something May Be Happening...

I have a friend who I have worked with for 8 years. Someone that has absolutely REFUSED to listen to me. Someone that has played "devil's advocate". Someone that has absolutely, positively REFUSED to watch "9/11: Press For Truth". A movie his own friend of 8 years had something to do with.

I'm sure ALL OF YOU have a similar friend(s).

Today, this friend has FINALLY agreed to watch not only "9/11: Press For Truth", but "In Their Own Words: The Untold Stories Of The 9/11 Families" as well.

Maybe it has to do with the news regarding Philip Zelikow. Maybe it has to do with the news regarding the destruction of the CIA interrogation tapes. Maybe it has to do with the Sunday Times series concerning Sibel Edmonds.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that I called him out on critiquing something he has never seen.

Whatever the reason is, it is something I thought I'd never see.

Something may be happening.
