Impeach Bush

This from the desk of Florida Congressman Robert Wexler (Re: impeachment)

From an email to me this afternoon from www.votetoimpeach.org:

Breaking News. This from the desk of Florida Congressman Robert Wexler, one of the co-sponsors of the 35 articles of impeachment introduced by Rep. Dennis Kucinich:

“Capitol Hill is buzzing today with major developments regarding our campaign for impeachment hearings for President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Just today, in what could be described as a perfect impeachment storm:

"After stating unequivocally that impeachment "is off the table," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated to CBS News today that the House Judiciary Committee should address the issues that Rep. Kucinich's has raised in his impeachment resolution.... This issue now reaches far beyond the substance of the Judiciary Committee's original inquiry regarding the firing of US Attorneys for political purposes. The crisis at hand relates to our most fundamental laws and of our Constitution. It is, in many ways, more serious than the Constitutional crisis surrounding Watergate."

June 19, 2008 Impeach Bush now? By Ray McGovern

Sadly, I'm pretty much convinced that "the people" will not wake up until another 9/11 happens or an attack on Iran commences . . . How much more evidence do "the people" and Congress need?

I feel a calm before the storm right now, but on a positive note, maybe that storm will allow 9/11 truth to finally be exposed . . . --Betsy

Impeach Bush now?

By Ray McGovern

United States Rep. John Conyers, the Detroit Democrat who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, has a rendezvous with destiny. He is uniquely placed to thrust a rod through the wheels of a White House juggernaut to war with Iran by commencing impeachment proceedings against President George W. Bush.

A move to impeach would bolster the resistance to Bush among our senior military leaders who know that attacking Iran at this time would be the strategic equivalent of the marches into Russia by Napoleon and Hitler.

Will President Obama be impeachable for allowing Bush's impeachable high crimes to continue past January 20?

As much as I have appreciated and/or loved Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Cynthia McKinney, I have been supporting Obama for two years now - betting that his charismatic personality (among other things) would trump all else . . . And while I feel my vote needs to count and can't be "wasted" on a symbolic one (i.e. for McKinney) - ultimately because of our Supreme Court status with scary, inauthentic conservatives like Scalia, Roberts, Thomas and Alito who apparently don't seem to get the Constitution - WHEN Obama becomes president, if he doesn't hold Bush et al. accountable for all illegal actions over the last eight years, I will be the first to sign up to impeach Obama. (Sorry for that run-on sentence.)

And if the truth of 9/11 is exposed in the next few years, he won't have a choice . . .
