Unfortunately, some in the audience began to applaud Hasslebeck for "debunking" the WTC demolition with Popular Mechanics talking points about how the steel didn't need to melt, only weaken.

Fortunately, the applause was limited and didn't really blossom into a full round of applause. And the majority of applause goes to the words out of Jesse's mouth.

Also on the unfortunate list: Ventura once again failed to mention ae911truth.org. I'm going to e-mail Dick Russell, Jesse's publicist and co-writer, and relay this piece of advice.

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has seen some stuff that will blow your mind.

Or, at least that's the tagline to "Conspiracy Theory," his new show on US cable station TruTV. In episode two, the one-time wrestler and movie star goes after one of America's greatest sacred cows: the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

It is, as far as this reporter can tell, the first time a syndicated program on U.S. cable has given a serious look at arguments made by members of the 9/11 truth movement.

In the show, Ventura speaks to key 9/11 truth figures such as former BYU professor Steven Jones and William Rodriguez, a nationally-acclaimed hero credited with saving dozens as he tried to escape from the World Trade Center towers on Sept. 11.

Ventura in the Los Angeles Times. Although part of the Entertainment Rubric, do not underestimate the impact on mainstream oriented public. Ventura always clearly and concisely formulating his topics. I hope his TV series will have same qualities. This brief interview is worth reading.

With careers in wrestling, movies, radio and government under his belt, Jesse Ventura is adding a line to his résumé: professional conspiracy theorist.

A television production company announced Tuesday that the former Minnesota governor will host "Conspiracy Theories With Jesse Ventura" on cable's truTV, a Turner Broadcasting System channel.

The launch of the program was initially announced last September, but apparently only a pilot was produced.

"Now I get to be a detective and seek the truth," Ventura was quoted as saying in a news release at the time.

Talking about dark conspiracies is not exactly virgin territory for Ventura. In his books and repeated TV interviews, he has repeatedly maintained that the assassination of John Kennedy and the 9/11 terrorist attacks were hatched by conspirators unknown to the general public.

Yesterday I saw "Running Man" on german cable tv one more time. You know that movie with "young" Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura.

That reminds me on the possible protective coverage of the "hijack a plane and flew it into a building" plan.

You know that one scenario "no one could have predicted" as Condoleezza Rice once claimed, besides Hollywood as shown in "The Lone Gunmen- Pilot episode" back in march 2001. But earlier ones- probably even in WTC security danger analysis- remain sealed to this day.

At the Ron Paul Rally for the Republic held at the Target Center in St. Paul, Minnesota a few blocks from the Republican National Convention, former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura questioned 9/11 to a crowd of nearly 10,000 people and received an overwhelmingly positive response.

"I'm going to move on to another subject that a lot of people don't want to discuss today," he said, "I know when I discuss it, it's amazing, I get attacked!" The crowd listened intently as he went on, "And that's something called 9/11!" The crowd erupted into spontaneous applause. Ventura continued and discussed the fact that on the FBI's most wanted terrorist page, Osama bin Laden is not wanted for 9/11. He asked why expressed disgust with the Bush Administration's stonewalling any investigation into the attacks.

(CNN) — Will he or won’t he?

Former Minnesota Governor and professional wrestler Jesse Ventura is expected to announce Monday night on CNN’s Larry King Live whether he’ll run for his state’s U.S. Senate seat. Ventura’s deadline to file to run for the senate is Tuesday.

If Ventura jumps into the race and runs as an Independent, the battle for Republican incumbent Norm Coleman’s seat would become a three ring circus. Democrat Al Franken, a former comedian and liberal talk show host, has already filed.

Coleman was first elected in 2002 and is running for his second term. The Democrats are targeting Coleman and hope to win back the seat that was once held by Democrat Paul Wellstone, who was killed in a plane crash while running for re-election in 2002.

Former Governor Jesse Ventura went further in his 9/11 skepticism than ever before today when he told the Howard Stern Show of his fear that elements of the U.S. government carried out the attack, stating, "I hate to fear....that we possibly did it to ourselves."

"There's a lot of very difficult questions that have not been answered and no one seems to want to provide any answers," Ventura told Stern, adding that the most prescient was, "That a third building could fall into its own footprint five hours later having not been struck by much of anything....the 9/11 Commission didn't even address the issue.

Pressed by Stern as to what he thought had happened, Ventura stated, "I hate to fear what could have happened that possibly we did it to ourselves," to which Stern responded "you're kidding me".

My review of Jesse Ventura's book almost reads more like a blog entry than a book review; I personally think this is one of my better pieces of prose because I manage to intertwine 9/11 Truth, the War on Drugs, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Amazing how everything all ties together!

Anyone who reads my [Amazon] reviews in chronological order will see that Ventura's book from 2000, "Do I Stand Alone?", was my first review. Jesse was one of my first political role models when I read that book after coming across it in the Borders' store. Prior to that, all I knew was that he was a former wrestler turned governor. One of the first things that outraged me, and jolted me to be a political activist, was the criminalization of drugs and the war on marijuana smokers in particular, an outrage Ventura also shares. After going on my own political journey of various awakenings over this decade, Jesse has come back into my life during the 2008 election season with his best book yet.
