November 22, 2013 will mark the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination, and significant information is still being suppressed. If certain elements with influence over the government have their way, this information will never be released.

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has created a "National Archives Open Government Idea Forum" at ideascale.com for the public to submit, comment on, and vote for ideas. One submission that is gaining popularity is for NARA to: "Create a JFK Records Declassification Project":

The National Archives should create a project to declassify remaining secret JFK assassination records before the 50th anniversary of that tragic event in 2013. The Archives recently established Berlin Wall and Pentagon Papers anniversary projects. Public interest is high in the remaining secret JFK assassination records. This month will mark the 46th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. A recently declassified oral history by Brigadier General Godfrey McHugh, President Kennedy's military aide on the Dallas trip, sheds new light on the critical hours after the shooting. McHugh makes startling claims about Lyndon Johnson's behavior in the wake of the assassination.

The interview with McHugh, originally conducted for the John F. Kennedy Library in 1978, remained closed for 31 years. It was finally declassified in the spring of 2009. I just happened to be working at the Kennedy Library on the day the interview was opened to the public and have used it for the first time in my new book, The Kennedy Assassination -- 24 Hours After.

The New York Times, on October 17, published a page-one story by Scott Shane about the CIA’s defiance of a court order to release documents pertaining to the John F. Kennedy assassination, in its so-called Joannides file. George Joannides was the CIA case officer for a Cuban exile group that made headlines in 1963 by its public engagements with Lee Harvey Oswald, just a few weeks before Oswald allegedly killed Kennedy. For over six years a former Washington Post reporter, Jefferson Morley, has been suing the CIA for the release of these documents. [1]

Sometimes the way that a news item is reported can be more newsworthy than the item itself. A notorious example was the 1971 publication of the Pentagon Papers (documents far too detailed for most people to read) on the front page of the New York Times.

The October 17 Times story was another such example. It revealed, perhaps for the first time in any major U.S. newspaper, that the CIA has been deceiving the public about its own relationship to the JFK assassination.

WASHINGTON — Is the Central Intelligence Agency covering up some dark secret about the assassination of John F. Kennedy?

Probably not. But you would not know it from the C.I.A.’s behavior.

For six years, the agency has fought in federal court to keep secret hundreds of documents from 1963, when an anti-Castro Cuban group it paid clashed publicly with the soon-to-be assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. The C.I.A. says it is only protecting legitimate secrets. But because of the agency’s history of stonewalling assassination inquiries, even researchers with no use for conspiracy thinking question its stance.

The files in question, some released under direction of the court and hundreds more that are still secret, involve the curious career of George E. Joannides, the case officer who oversaw the dissident Cubans in 1963. In 1978, the agency made Mr. Joannides the liaison to the House Select Committee on Assassinations — but never told the committee of his earlier role.

Richard Belzer on Real Time with Bill Maher exposing the Federal Reserve plot to destroy the country and their roll in the assassination of JFK. Kennedy was assassinated on Nov 22nd, which is the anniversary of the day the Federal Reserve Act was composed on Jeckyll Island in 1910.

A fierce war being waged for control of the Venice Municipal Airport has led to the discovery of covert CIA and military operations, dating back to at least 1959, which go well beyond what was previously known to have taken place there.

Operations at the Venice Airport have involved individuals whose names figure prominently in the Kennedy Assassination, for example Texas oilman General D. H. (Harry) Byrd, owner of a defense contractor which in the late 50's and early 60's built and launched Regulus II cruise missiles from the beach directly in front of the Venice Airport in a program run out of at Eglin AFB in Florida’s panhandle.

“Vought's Regulus II was a Mach 2 capable cruise missile optimized for launch from surfaced submarines and other Navy surface vessels, and later served as a high-speed target drone for other weapon development programs,” company literature stated.

My interest in the death of President Kennedy derives from my belief that his presidency and his death were pivotal points in American history.

At the time of his assassination, President Kennedy was in the midst of intense efforts to end the Cold War. Had he lived to run for a second term, it seems likely that the Cold War would have ended some 25 years earlier than it did. Instead, through the time that the Cold War ended in 1991 we were ruled by a series of U.S. presidents who (with the exception of Jimmy Carter) sought to expand the Cold War, and along with it the imperial presidency and the scope and size of the Military Industrial Complex.

Canadian-born James Douglass of Birmingham, Alabama is a Christian pacifist , a 9/11Truther and author of JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters (Orbis Books).
The book rose to number 31 on Amazon’s best seller list two weeks after Oliver Stone appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher” on June 26th last holding a copy of the 2008 book, which was shown on camera. Stone said it is a “great book.”

I'm not knowledgeable about the JFK assassination to know if there are any questionable facts in this presentation, but as far as I can tell, the quality is excellent.(At least the first 5 segments. I haven't seen all of them, yet.) Garrison comes across as very intelligent, moreso than the impression I gathered from Kevin Costner's portrayal of him in the movie JFK. There are also clips of Fletcher Prouty, who was represented in the JFK movie by Donald Sutherland's character 'X'.

When the MFF opened up shop in 2005, we had under a hundred thousand pages in our document archive. This past month we passed the 1.2 million page mark.

Last Friday, our project to digitize major collections of FBI Records provided by the Assassination Records and Research Center (AARC) came to a close. These records comprise more than 450,000 pages of our archive. For the complete story and collections, please check out the feature article.

Question - what did the 9/11 Commission learn from the Warren Commission?
Answer - don't release 26 accompanying volumes of evidence.

More than four decades ago, those 26 volumes, at odds with much of the Warren Report, set off a handful of researchers on parallel journeys to find the truth behind the JFK Assassination, trying to succeed where they believed their government had failed them.

It is because of those researchers that I'm writing this today. I'm the Executive Director of the Mary Ferrell Foundation, and want to take this opportunity to give a brief introduction to the work of the Foundation.

The MFF is a non-profit group dedicated to the exploration of the deeper stories behind the national tragedies and crises that shape our lives. Our main topics are the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King. Our goal is to not only shed light on these tragedies, but place them in a modern context, showing how the events of the past irrevocably effect our present and future.

The focal point of the MFF site is our vast document archive, currently containing over one million pages of once-classified documents, many declassified as recently as the late 1990s. Ranging from foreign policy memos concerning the Vietnam War and President Kennedy's implementation of a withdrawal plan before his death, the secret war on Castro, and the records of the Church Committee, which in the 1970s, laid bare the dirty laundry of the intelligence agencies and revealed to the public the CIA-Mafia plots to murder Fidel Castro.

One of the most damning revelations to come out in the massive 90's declassification was the Operation Northwoods. Refused by Kennedy, these papers revealed planning by the JCS for faked and actual terrorist actions against the U.S. to be conducted by the U.S., but in a such a way as to blame them on Cuba. These attacks would provide a pretext for an all-out military invasion of Cuba, and the overthrow of Fidel Castro. What is past truly is prologue.

Why would a strip club operator sacrifice his freedom and possibly his life to "spare Mrs Kennedy the trauma of a trial"? That makes no more sense than the collapse of Building Seven at near free fall speed due to fire.

We missed the opportunity to turn back from the road to fascism when JFK was murdered. Exposing the obvious discrepancies of the official story may have been a more effective strategy than even the Vietnam war protests. Long live 9/11 truth!

I just watched your program, “Conspiracy Anyone” on The Agenda, TVO, August 1, 2008.

Thank you for addressing the issue of conspiracy. It seemed that more focus & time was spent theorizing on the mindset of conspiracy paranoia than the details of any of the conspiracies themselves.Two of the four panel experts could not swear by the official theory of the JFK assassination so I assume they suffer from the same conspiracy paranoia which they attribute to the majority. I did not hear them discuss the details of their doubts. If such a malady as “conspiracyitis” could infect the minds of 70+% of the population, it is noteworthy, but the panel was as vague about the science of this psychological phenomenon as they were on any of the conspiracies mentioned. No studies in the area of mass paranoia were cited.

I post this now because I noticed that Bugliosi was recently featured on Democracy Now and also is going to be on a radio show with Kucinich soon. His 2007 book was 'Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy', and his 2008 book is 'The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder.'

This is another case where *anyone* who utters the phrase "prosecute Bush" is given a free pass. Being on Democracy Now then opens the door to every single left media and blogger to accept him unquestioningly. But as Michael Green states, "The purpose of Bugliosi’s 'Reclaiming History' is to defend the integrity of the USG National Security State by grossly distorting its nature and function."

Could such distortions, and the taking down of the JFK truths one year earlier, have been a necessary ingredient of becoming a central figure in the supposed prosecution of Bush? Only time will tell.

The essay is detailed but thorough and well done.

JFK and 9/11 coincidences

Fifteen minutes after JFK is shot, Dallas Police dispatch an APB for a suspect fitting Lee Harvey Oswald's exact description, although Oswald has neither been implicated nor his weapon found. Moments after 9-11 attack, a scorched passport allegedly belonging to an Islamic hijacker is found near the WTC wreckage.

(B). Alleged JFK assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was a former CIA operative. Alleged 9-11 mastermind, Osama Bin Ladin, was former CIA operative.
