Major television networks suddenly cut all coverage of the Occupy Oakland demonstration last Tuesday afternoon just as police in full riot gear began using tear-gas, flash-bang canisters and rubber bullets to disperse the gathering.

TheWeatherSpace.com was the first to report the coincidence.

"This is not usually something TWS reports on but no other 'media' outlet will," the natural disaster news and custom weather forecast office posted on its site, a weather watch and extreme weather alert service.

According to both CBS and ABC news, the helicopters overflying the event had to turn back to station to refuel.

"There was a camera on the ground for a full minute," reported The Weather Space. "Showing exploding canisters, people screaming, and gas being covered everywhere and that was shut off shortly after."

Earlier that morning, police had "raided the Occupy Oakland camp and destroyed everything the occupiers had built," blogger and protester Aaron Bady wrote in his Oakland Local blog

An activist group is calling for a complete boycott of corporate mainstream media, starting on the 9th anniversary of 9/11. According the group's facebook page, "Mainstream media networks have barely touched the surface of what happened... Through their negligence, they have made a mockery of the unanswered questions held by the victims' families, and greatly dishonored the 3,000 people who died on 9/11. This must change." The group is urging those who agree to join the boycott, during which participants will rely only on independent media sources for their news. On their page, the group suggests several alternatives to mainstream news, including Raw Story and Information Clearinghouse.

Half of Americans still don't realize that a third building also came down that day, and it wasn't hit by an airplane. There is a long list of federal investigators who say they were not allowed to do their jobs or complete the investigation, says Tim King.

The mainstream press is showing interest in a taboo, however glaring subject; the inconsistencies in the Bush White House 9/11 account.

As The Washington [Times] reports today, "A lingering technical question about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks still haunts some, and it has political implications: How did 200,000 tons of steel disintegrate and drop in 11 seconds? A thousand architects and engineers want to know, and are calling on Congress to order a new investigation into the destruction of the Twin Towers and Building 7 at the World Trade Center."

The problems with the official federal stories are endless and according to some of the world's top minds, the suggested account is impossible[1].

It's not often that this mainstream an outlet does anything other than a hit piece, but here is one of those rare occasions. Washington Times welcomes comments so let's spread some truth.

Incidentally, this blog entry and comments should be used as a compendium for press coverage. If you do a Google News search on "9/11+truth" you'll find that this global push for truth which occurred on 2/19 is getting picked up on by quite a few outlets, some favorably, some not. I would have thought that the right wing Washington Times would be the last place on earth for a favorable piece. Maybe times are achangin'...

There's been a doubt that the WTC twin towers in NYC were planned to be destroyed by somebody, due to the way they fell straight down.

The night of September 12, 2001, I happened to put the TV on and saw a familiar building from portfolio of architecture burning. I turned the volume up thinking it was a movie like "The Towering Inferno" only to find out it was live.

I am still mystified to this day of the scene of the two buildings collapse vertically.

They say a commercial aircraft crashed into the Pentagon - the US Department of Defense, but there was no aircraft wreckage left at the scene.

They have failed this country, and the world.

People with intellectual integrity and moral courage embrace the evidence of “mainstream” media lies of omission and commission regarding US wars and transfer of trillions of dollars to banksters. The evidence linked is objective, independently verifiable, and in broad daylight for anyone and everyone to see.

So-called “mainstream” media also censors consideration of the answer to our economic crisis: monetary reform. When the facts are clear that transferring the power to create money from banks to the public for the direct payment of taxes saves Americans over a trillion dollars every year, ends the national debt and ~$450 billion in annual interest payments, and that this idea was backed by many of America’s brightest historical minds, that this idea would solve our unemployment catastrophe (and here), and the idea has no mention from these five corporations, we can safely conclude deliberate censorship.

Richard Gage of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, is currently on a speaking tour in Australasia, which includes presentations in Wellington and Auckland, New Zealand on the 21st and 30th of November, respectively.

While he received little mainstream media coverage in Australia, the New Zealand media has been more receptive. The Wellington paper, The Capital Times, ran a full-page article about him and the attacks of 9/11 in this week’s edition, which is described by Wellingtonian 9/11 truth activist, Helen Waddington, as “Absolutely fantastic!”

Waddington, who has been taking the names of those who want to register for Gage’s Wellington presentation at Te Papa on the 21st of November, advised on Wednesday evening: “My phone is going nuts as I type this and we are up to 200 registered at present.” She said at this rate, the event should be fully booked by Saturday. The venue seats 300.

This is many ways could be a more important opportunity than the tenth anniversary.

Does anyone remember when the Alex Jones crowd overpowered the corporate media at the Democratic National Convention last year?

We need this to happen outside the courthouse where KSM will be tried, a thousand times over what we saw at the DNC.

While those corporate pundits are standing there getting paid millions to keep us in the dark, we will use our voices and several bullhorns and overwhelm the corporate airwaves with truth!

At a point when many Americans have a "it was a long time ago" attitude about 9/11 and even the corporate media doesn't talk about it much, this is a golden opportunity.

April 20, 2008 The New York Times broke the news that the Pentagon (and members of the Bush Administration) had been coordinating with retired military analysts on talking points to cover in their media appearances, as part of a 'psyop' on the American public to sell the 'post-9/11 world', the 'War on Terror', Guantanamo, torture, and the continued occupation of Iraq. These 'analysts', many of whom had undisclosed conflicts of interest such as financial ties to defense contractors, appeared over 4500 times in the media, as part of this campaign. The media outlets responsible for participating in the program- which includes the NY Times- have generally not acknowledged any fault on their own part, and some commentators attempted to spin the psyop as simply the Pentagon telling their side of things. A DOD Inspector General investigation found no wrong doing on the part of the Pentagon, but that report was later found to be so flawed, it was retracted and removed from the DOD's website.

Media Breakthrough! 9-11 Press for Truth to Be Shown on Mainstream Television

I am very happy to announce that for the first time in our movements history, 9-11 Press for Truth will be shown on a mainstream media television station. KBDI Channel 12 in Denver Colorado has just confirmed that they will be showing this groundbreaking film during their upcoming pledge drive on June 3, 2009.

As has been the case in the recent past, Colorado 9-11 Visibility will be there manning the phone banks and expect to get some prime time during this showing to make our plea for a new investigation into the crimes of September 11th, 2001.

As many of you may know, this is not the first time that Colorado 9-11 Visibility has made an appearance on KBDI. Our most recent appearance was in March of this year during the showing of America, Freedom to Fascism. Our time at KBDI actually goes back a couple of years when one of our members, Michael Anderson approached the station about our group volunteering to man the phones during their pledge drive. As a perk for the volunteering organization, KBDI gives the opportunity to promote the group on-air during their time on the phone banks and promote we did! We do not know the whole story on what kind of effect we had, but during this initial appearance on KBDI, we handed out DVD's and other 9-11 related literature to the staff at the station. To me, they were friendly enough, but I felt their reception of us was lukewarm at best. What a nice surprise to us when we were invited back again and again for all subsequent pledge drives since and given and increasingly warmer reception. And now this! We are ecstatic over this as it is the result of years of determined work by our group of very dedicated activists here in Colorado.
