New 9/11 Timeline Entries: Training Exercises in New York, Fighter Jets' Response on 9/11, Suspicious Man Arrested, and More
From the History Commons Groups blog:
Many entries have been added to the Complete 9/11 Timeline at History Commons, covering various events relating to the 9/11 attacks, including a number of anti-terrorism training exercises held in the years leading up to 9/11 and various incidents from the day of September 11, 2001, itself.
Numerous Exercises Prepared for a Terrorist Attack in New York
Many new timeline entries describe training exercises that were held in New York before 9/11. These include Operation ICE, the city's largest ever terrorism response exercise, which was held in November 1997 and included a simulated chemical attack near the World Trade Center. Another exercise, which tested the response to a biological attack, was held in June 1999 at the city's new emergency command center in World Trade Center Building 7.

NEW YORK -- An emergency medical service lieutenant with the New York Fire Department was laid to rest Saturday, and his colleagues say his death stems from toxic dust he inhaled at the World Trade Center site.
Lt. Brian Ellicott arrived at the World Trade Center site on the night of September 11th, 2001, and logged more than 100 hours working to clear the site and search for survivors, the Uniformed EMS Officers Union said.
Ellicott, 45, died Tuesday at Staten Island University Hospital after a three-month battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, officials said.
He left behind a wife and two kids.
Colleagues said the city has denied requests to classify Ellicott's death as in the line of duty, which would increase the benefits his family would receive.
The FDNY said it will do everything it can to support his family's application for benefits from the state Workers' Compensation Board.
Colleagues also want Ellicott listed as a casualty of 9/11.

Giuliani Bungled Preparation in Years After 1993 Attack on Trade Center.
Critical failures by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani before, during and after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, raise serious questions about his ability to be commander-in-chief.
August 19, 2007 ~ "Mr. Bloomberg said there was “no danger” that the building would collapse "
Surprising that this 9 alarm fire had "no danger" of collapsing even though it was being torn down and had been severly damaged 6 years ago. It's also surprising that it takes 4 days to disasemble each floor, as described in another article about the building. See this article.
All that evidence and nobody seems to put it all together. And what about how this modern building became a "toxic waste dump"... how did all that toxic material get there??
It's also very telling what happens to steel when torches are used as seen in these pictures provided in the article. Notice the lack of slag in the DB steel compared with the imfamous WTC column pictured last:

Firemen douse Rudy’s image as 9/11 hero
Union bid to halt White House run
Sarah Baxter, New York
FIRE battalion chief Jim Riches brought up his son to be one of New York’s “bravest”, like him. The young Jim followed his father into the New York fire department and died at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
What followed turned his heartbroken father into a relentless opponent of Rudy Giuliani, then mayor of New York. With other families of 9/11 victims, Riches has vowed to torpedo Giuliani’s prospects of winning the White House by attacking his greatest source of strength, his reputation as a hero that day.
“We’re going to follow him around the country,” said Riches. “We want all of America to know he is not the man he says he is.”
