With all the hullabaloo around the "alleged" (and if so illegal) assassination of Osama bin Laden we have almost lost sight about what is the real important issue at hand: The unexplained collapse of WTC 7 and the improbable collapses of WTC 1 and 2 as a result of planes having been flown into them.

While the White house has done everything it seems to convolute the information about what did or did not occur in Abbottabad (which for some reason reminds me uncomfortably of the word Abattoir) it seems to me that we have temporarily lost sight of what is the real issue here. Whatever the role of Osama bin Laden we have a very serious problem which no matter whether he got killed last week or 9 years ago has not been addressed with his death.

Osama Bin Laden’s death is being celebrated, and everyone seems to repeat the old conspiracy theory that he was indeed the mastermind behind the terror attacks of 9/11. But that was never proven, and there is not even evidence hinting at such a connection according to the FBI. It is very well possible that completely different organizations than al-Qaeda were responsible for the planning and execution of 9/11, and that the latter was merely one of the involved parties.

On Sunday, May 1st, 2011, around 7 p.m. PDT, the Obama administration revealed its noble murder of Osama Bin Laden to the world. The face of terror, the Emmanuel Goldstein of 21st century America had been slain; thus began our prolonged period of two-minute hate.

By Monday morning, the front cover of every major newspaper in the country was graced with Bin Laden's face and a concise headline regarding his execution. People would have something to talk about for the May 2nd work week, and surely after viewing, again for the 1,000th time in their lives, footage of the 9/11 attacks, people would be suffering from nightmares as well.

Terror alerts were issued. Security measures were raised. Demagogic speeches were given. And, following standard procedure, the source, the authority of the information was never questioned by the mainstream media, nor by the mainstream 'alternative' outlets.

Who was that authority?

So members of Congress last year appealed to YouTube to remove calls for violence by Mr. Awlaki, the militant American-born cleric now hiding in Yemen, and in an announcement reported around the world last November, YouTube agreed.

End of story?

Not at all. A quick search of YouTube today for “Anwar al-Awlaki” finds hundreds of his videos, most of them scriptural commentary or clerical advice, but dozens that include calls for jihad or attacks on the United States.

In a message specifically targeting France, al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden warned that Paris would pay a “high price” for its policies and that the fate of French hostages would depend on the pullout of French troops from “Muslim lands”, in a purported audiotape broadcast on Arabic news network Al Jazeera on Friday.

DUBAI, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden said the kidnapping of five French nationals in Niger last month had been prompted by France's unjust treatment of Muslims, in an audio message aired on Al Jazeera television on Wednesday.

"How is it right for you to occupy our countries and kill our women and children and expect to live in peace and security?" a speaker who sounded like bin Laden said in the message directed to the French people.

"The equation is clear: you are killed as you kill and abducted as you abduct, and as you damage our security we damage your security."

Bin Laden's whereabouts are unknown, but in August, the US commander in Afghanistan, General David Petraeus, said bin Laden is "far buried" in the remote mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan and that capturing him remains a key task.

The enemy of America seems to pop up conveniently whenever the government is hyping national defense or the need to pass new carbon tax legislation. It's an interesting coincidence that these two agendas should coincide in the form of Osama Bin Laden's latest warning, which as usual has not been confirmed to be really him.

AP Exclusive: New al-Qaida leader knows US well

MIAMI — A suspected al-Qaida operative who lived for more than 15 years in the U.S. has become chief of the terror network's global operations, the FBI says, marking the first time a leader so intimately familiar with American society has been placed in charge of planning attacks.

Adnan Shukrijumah, 35, has taken over a position once held by 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who was captured in 2003, Miami-based FBI counterterrorism agent Brian LeBlanc told The Associated Press in an exclusive interview. That puts him in regular contact with al-Qaida's senior leadership, including Osama bin Laden, LeBlanc said.
