Paul Thompson is the author of The Terror Timeline, a compilation of over 5,000 reports and articles concerning the September 11, 2001 attacks. The book was based on research conducted by himself and other contributors to the History Commons website. Thompson's research in the field has garnered over 100 radio interviews, along with TV interviews on Fox News and Air America and interviews in print, such as for Buzz Magazine. Articles about himself, his research and its reception by the 9/11 Truth Movement have appeared in The Village Voice and Esquire Magazine's "Genius Issue,” and recognition as "an authority on terrorism", even though, "He never studied, trained", as noted by Esquire. In 2005, Thompson was asked to speak at a congressional briefing on the 9/11 Commission’s final report, he addressed what he defined as failures by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

Paul Thompson joins us to discuss the latest revelations by former counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke and his explosive allegations against three former top CIA officials – George Tenet, Cofer Black and Richard Blee – accusing them of knowingly withholding intelligence about two of the 9/11 hijackers, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, who had entered the United States more than a year before the attacks. He provides us with the most comprehensive history and context to date on Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, who hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 with three other terrorists and flew the jetliner directly into the Pentagon killing 189 people. Mr. Thompson takes us through a mind-boggling journey through the Yemen Hub, the highly critical Malaysia Summit, Thailand, USS Cole bombing, CIA’s Alec Station, NSA, FBI and beyond!

Interview with Paul Thompson MP3 [1:03:14]
I can’t speak for the rest of you. I can only speak for myself. For almost 9 years now, I have done my very best to tell the next person about the lies of 9/11. To try and get the media to cover certain issues pertaining to 9/11, and to try and bring justice to the families that lost someone that day, and to the people of the world. Because as I’ve said several times, we were all attacked that day.
Almost every waking minute, I try and think about how to get a “foot in the door,” as far as getting the debate about 9/11 back on the table, so we can finally find out what happened that day and who was ultimately responsible. I’ve written article after article, created movie after movie, contacted journalist after journalist in the hopes of finally breaking through the wall that has been put up around the myth of 9/11. In one way or another, that is basically what everyone who advocates for this cause tries to do.
In the comments of this article, a lying "debunker" states, "don't trust the Terror Timeline; it's a wiki-style effort that can be edited by anyone and is thus contaminated with 'Trutherism'."
According to Kevin Fenton, a contributor of the Terror Timeline, "anybody can certainly register and attempt to edit it, but the edits aren't displayed to the public until they are approved by the editors, which is a significant difference with Wikipedia."
The "Complete 9/11 Timeline" is the LARGEST and MOST COMPREHENSIVE collection of information pertaining to the 9/11 attacks. BAR NONE.
In this thread, I made the comment, "When ABC's "Path to 9/11" came out, it was about the same time PFT (9/11: Press For Truth) came out. Guess which one the media decided to focus on (even though the families presented it at the National PRESS club on 9/11/2006). I also remember that around that time is when Ann Coulter started to speak out against the "Jersey Girls." Coincidence? Who knows?
I no longer have the clip, and I can't find it on the web, but there is a Randi Rhodes show with Paul Thompson where he completely destroys "Path to 9/11."
Well, I found the clip on my computer. I have edited it out the commercials. Enjoy.
Given what's going on re: KSM in Guantanamo, I thought this would be good for people to read. - Jon
Khalid Shaikh Mohammed was captured in Rawalpindi, Pakistan on March 1, 2003. General elation greeted the news. Porter Goss (R), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, even proclaimed, “This is equal to the liberation of Paris in the second World War.” [AP, 3/2/03 (C)] But its not that simple. Frankly, the official story of his arrest is a mass of lies, cover-ups and contradictions. It is highly likely Mohammed was not arrested on that day. What exactly did happen when is unclear, but the details of his arrest suggest something very disturbing is going on.
Was Mohammed Actually Arrested in Rawalpindi?

Direct link to Congressional Record, 109th Congress:
In the wake of Philip Shenon's best-seller, "The Commission", comes another wave of Americans snapping out of a media-induced trance. On another front, to a different audience, Willie Nelson is waking up another sector of the sleepwalking masses with his skepticism. Whatever route you took that made you take a second look at 9/11, welcome... and, you've got some catching up to do.
If Shenon's book was your introduction to the simple fact that the 9/11 Commission failed in its mandate on several levels, then you are probably unaware that serious criticism of the 9/11 Commission was entered into the Congressional Record of the 109th Congress. This criticism was the result of a Congressional Briefing conducted by former Congressional Representative, Cynthia McKinney of Georgia. (McKinney is currently seeking the Presidential nomination for the Green Party of the United States.)
The briefing was held on July 22nd, 2005, subsequently broadcast by C-SPAN, and studiously ignored by the corporate press. A comprehensive collation of the briefing has not been made available online, but thanks to the magic of YouTube, I have chopped the most pertinent testimonies from that day into neat 10 minute segments that are easily digestible for the busy internet surfer. You may have seen some of the footage from the briefing in the documentary, "Press for Truth", where Lorie Van Auken talked about her husband's fate on 9/11. Beyond that, not much of this footage has been circulating on the net.
So, if you are new to 9/11 Truth, or 9/11 skepticism, or you just have some questions, this is a great start. This briefing does not present much speculation or theory, but does break down the Commission on its bureaucratic failings, and lists a host of anomalies that will send you researching for days if this is all new to you. (This briefing does not discuss controlled demolition theories at all, it wasn't until physicist Steven Jones came on the scene in 2006 that CD "exploded" into the massive topic for 9/11 skeptics that is currently is. There was a lot of research already published online, and some in books, but it took a PhD to kick it over the top.)
The YouTube series is in 25 parts, and begins with McKinney's opening statement;
The tireless Paul Thompson has just posted some very interesting information from the FBI about the alleged 9/11 hijackers and their movements in the US during the months and weeks preceding the attacks. Much of this FBI Timeline has been redacted to the point of invisibility - but what remains is still well worth reading. It suggests heavy, high-level Saudi involvement, which could hardly have taken place without the tacit approval of US authorities and intelligence agencies. It also indicates quite clearly that, far from endeavouring to avoid the police at all costs, the Nineteen Deathloving Superstudents sometimes went out of their way to contact them.
And although all this information was available to the Kean/Hamilton/Zelikow Commission, they seem to have made a point of ignoring it.
Among the many gems:
Here is Luai Sakra's entry from the "Who Is? Archives." - Jon
From his Turkish jail, a senior terrorist claims a key role in atrocities around the world
Chris Gourlay and Jonathan Calvert
November 25, 2007
IN a small windowless cell lit by a single light bulb, Louai al-Sakka sits isolated from the world and fellow inmates for 24 hours a day.
His concrete box is in the bowels of Kandira, a high-security F-type prison 60 miles east of Istanbul, which was built to house Turkey’s most dangerous criminals.
The prison has been criticised by human rights groups such as Amnesty International. The guards control everything, including the cell’s light switch.
Sakka’s only visitor is Osman Karahan, a lawyer who shares his fervent support for militant Islamic jihad.
Thanks, Joe for sending this in.
The 9/11 Timeline has been growing by leaps and bounds. The number of entries posted per day has nearly doubled, and its contributors have been digging into several new areas of research. There are too many new entries to mention specifically, but some of the new categories include the following:
Al-Kifah/MAK - This category focuses mostly on the Al-Kifah Refugee Center and consists of some very astonishing material. This charity front was al-Qaeda's operational headquarters in the US in the late 1980s and early 1990s, yet at the same time it was closely tied to CIA efforts to win the wars in Afghanistan and Bosnia. These new entries raise disturbing questions about CIA collaboration with al-Qaeda.
Al-Qaeda in Balkans - This is not a new category per se, but it has been heavily updated, doubling in length. There is a little known scandal having to do with the Bosnia war in the early 1990s. In order to evade a UN arms embargo on Bosnia, the US turned a blind eye to an illegal weapons pipeline and may well have actually been involved with it. This pipeline involved al-Qaeda related charity fronts such as the Third World Relief Agency (TWRA), once again raising disturbing questions about collaboration with al-Qaeda. The project's current contributors hope to add substantially more material to this category in the near future.
CIA Hiding Alhazmi & Almihdhar - As time goes on, it is becoming increasingly clear that the CIA knew the 9/11 hijackers Khalid Almihdhar and Nawaf Alhazmi had visas to the US, but purposely withheld this information from the FBI. Contributor KJF has added so many instances of this that we've created a new category for it.
Londonistan - UK Counterterrorism - We are just beginning to explore this topic but hope to have much more on it in the future. Britain has allowed so many radical militants to live openly in London that it is sometimes nicknamed Londonistan.
BIF - This new category focuses on the Benevolence International Foundation charity front. What's interesting about this charity is that it was closely tied to al-Qaeda, raised millions, and was based inside the US. Members of the 9/11 project are exploring why this charity was not shut down before 9/11.
US Government and 9/11 Criticism - This new category compiles most of the entries relating to what some call 9/11 "conspiracy theories."
Alleged Al-Qaeda Linked Attacks - The "War on Terrorism" section now includes a list of all the major alleged al-Qaeda linked attacks.
Terror Alerts - There have been many false alarms and overhyped alerts since 9/11. Mike, one of the History Commons' newest contributors, is in the process of listing them in this new category.
Bush's Aug. 6, 2001 PDB - Everything you want to know about President Bush's infamous briefing entitled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack in US" can be found here.
Bayoumi and Basan Saudi Connection - No new material here, but for your convenience, this new category brings together all the entries relating to Omar al-Bayoumi and Osama Basnan, associates of 9/11 hijackers Khalid Almihdhar and Nawaf Alhazmi.
In addition to all these new categories, many other new entries have been added elsewhere. In particularly, contributor Matt continues to stay on top of Day of 9/11 events and has brought to light dozens of little known incidents from that day.

The History Commons project is an intelligence tool for civil society, allowing people at the grassroots-level to monitor and investigate the activities of governments and corporations. The History Commons project has the potential to become civil society's most important tool in keeping government officials and corporations in check. But we can't do this without your involvement and support.

This is a pretty good retrospective and very appropriate response to those who want to ignore the 9/11 evidence that often gets ripped as LIHOP/limited hangout.

I really want to leave this subject alone, and you probably wish I would, too, but unfortunately I have a few more things to winge about before moving on.
You may have seen this by now: the trailer for The Ultimate Con ("the 9/11 Documentary you can't debunk"). It's creator is "Lucus," about whom all I know is that he says "Dave Vonkleist, Jack Blood, and Alex Jones are going to help me promote it," which almost says enough for me right there. It's ten minutes of mostly "I heard explosions" footage shot during the attacks, though to its credit there are some clips I hadn't seen before, such as real-time reports of an alleged bomb-laden van in the WTC garage and rumours of suspected "devices."
