Formal Appeal for Real WTC Investigation to be Accompanied by AE911Truth Tour of Canada

An unprecedented and potentially powerful Canadian initiative is entering a new phase that brings Canada one step closer to re-investigating the events at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

For the first time, the Canadian Parliament will respond, in at least some measure, to the calls for justice and accountability regarding the controlled demolition of the Twin Towers and WTC Building 7

First Steps Completed

On November 11, 2011, the petition for a parliamentary review of the destruction of the three WTC skyscrapers on 9/11 was submitted to the Government of Canada by members of the Canadian 9/11 truth movement. The petition will soon be formally read in Parliament.

It was signed by 1,405 Canadians, and under long standing protocols, a formal response is required within 45 days.

The petition includes specific points of evidence that must be evaluated and addressed in its response. It specifically asks several pointed questions about a range of evidence that has been assembled and validated by the 1,600 strong Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth.

I don't remember when exactly I decided that the destruction of the World Trade Center (WTC) was undoubtedly an inside job. I'm certain that it wasn't long after 9/11 because the videos of the collapse raised real questions early for me. However, it's now a decade after the event and a large portion of the US population hasn't seen the physical problems connected with the government's explanation of how those buildings fell. I'm beginning to think that my "seeing" the impossibility of the government's conspiracy theory (GCT) when looking at videos of the falling buildings is largely a wiring thing.

Some people have brains that always seem to know where they are in physical space, others couldn't find north with a compass. So it must be with understanding how physical forces work together. It's totally obvious to me that the symmetry of the debris falling straight down through what should have been largely undamaged lower floors of the Twin Towers and Building 7 at free fall speed (the path of most resistance) means that none of these buildings fell because of fire or because planes hit two of them. Some other force had to remove the support extremely symmetrically in the lower floors. However, most of the people I know don't seem to have the same reaction to this evidence.

A petition has been set up on the White House's website calling for a new investigation of the events of 9/11 by an independent prosecutor. (The petition can be found at http://wh.gov/b1N . Complete text of the petition is below.) Petitioning the White House directly is a new tool to empower more direct input to the government. While internet-based petitions are certainly not new, it is new for the White House and it has a benefit that no other online petition can claim. If enough signatures are collected (25,000), the website rules state that there will be an official response from the appropriate agency emailed to every signer. That is something no other internet petition can even come close to doing.

On the down side completing the petitioning process is not easy. First, in order to sign a petition, people must complete the account set up process at the White House website (www.whitehouse.gov). Setting up an account requires a name, zip code, and email address. And the email address must be verified (by successfully receiving and responding to an email from the WhiteHouse.gov website) before the account set up is complete. Petition signers are not directly identified on the website, however, each signer's first name, date signing, and city are shown in the signer list.

Vancouver BC - Rob Duffy, Assistant to Canadian MP Libby Davies, has informed the Vancouver 9/11 Truth Society that the petition read in Canadian Parliament last Tuesday regarding the demand for a Canadian Investigation into 9/11 will be handled by none other than Canadian Minister of Public Safety, Stockwell Day.

Although such a document should likely be placed on the desk of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, perhaps some insight was used when the decision was made to forward this homework assignment to Mr. Day instead.

When we look at the credentials of Mr. Day we can see why this decision was made. Indeed, we see that no other Minister should have such a grand understanding of 9/11 than him. Mr. Day understands intelligence. He is a former CSIS agent himself. CSIS showed Canada it’s impressive counter terrorist abilities by uncovering the Air India Bombing plot in 1985 well before it happened. The 9/11 attacks not only killed 24 Canadians, but it is also our sole reason for participating in – and now enduring – the War on Terror. Upon the outset of the War in Afghanistan, former US Secretary of State Colin Powell (who will be in Vancouver June 12th) promised Canada a whitepaper linking the September 11th attacks with Osama bin Laden in exchange for our premature participation in the conflict in Afghanistan. This whitepaper never came, yet our troops are still fighting abroad.

The founding fathers thought the right of petition so important they included it in the first amendment of the Constitution. Unfortunately most activists in the U.S. forget this most basic right when fighting for their cause. Many see the protests of the 60s with hundreds of thousands in the streets or encircling the Pentagon and think that the petition no longer serves a use in the modern era of television and youtube. However these activists either forget or are ignorant of the fact that the civil rights and anti-war movements of the 60s were successful because they combined mass action with legislative action such as petitions and even going so far as to influence house and senate commitees and working with individual politicians on legislation.

Politicians are influenced by events in the outside world but they are far more influenced by events within their own world. That is what makes the petition so powerful.

Mahalo.com is an Internet publishing service, similar to Squidoo.com, About.com, and Wikipedia.org. Their page on 9/11 (viewable at mahalo.com/September_11) is, unfortunately, a joke. It contains factually inaccurate information -- most specifically, the notion that the terrorist attacks were led by Bin Laden, a statement which the FBI admits there is no hard evidence to support.

I have started a petition to demand truth from Mahalo.com. The purposes of this are twofold:

1. To get Mahalo to stop spreading disinfo
2. More importantly, the CEO of Mahalo, Jason Calacanis, is somewhat of an Internet celebrity. The Digg community, for instance, dislikes him very much. I would like to leverage the noteriety of Jason Calacanis to spread 911 truth.

NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative

One basic point--while it only makes sense to urge these officials to take a certain position or action, the likelihood of their actually doing so seems to me to be of lesser concern, at this point, than simply letting as many people in Washington as possible know (and people can feel free to contact state capitols as well) that we are alert to what is likely coming, that we are not about to be deceived, and thereby make it less likely that such a false-flag attack will actually be carried out, by demonstrating that a climate of opinion exists wherein the potential gains afforded by domestic false-flag terror are reduced and the potential risks are heightened.

May 3, 2007 -- Last February, I wrote an article published on the Muckraker Report titled, 9/11 Widows Keep on Asking the Tough Questions, which featured interviews with four of the famous “Jersey Girls,” the 9/11 widows who spearheaded the drive to form the 9/11 Commission and who are still seeking government accountability on 9/11. In the article, I drew attention to a petition the widows have set up online, demanding the release of some important documents relating to the 9/11 attacks. As widow Lorie van Auken says in the article, “If we were to get to 15,000 names on this petition, we’d take it to Washington.”

In the two months since the Muckraker Report published that article, nearly 6,000 people have signed the petition, including some heavy-hitters on the left, like Noam Chomsky and the British columnist George Monbiot, bringing the total number of names to over 11,000. As the controversy surrounding Rosie O’Donnell has shown, 9/11-truth-finding can be a sensitive issue, but one thing almost everyone can agree on is government transparency.

On October 14th, 2006, Monica Gabrielle, Lorie Van Auken, Mindy Kleinberg, and Patty Casazza started a petition that calls for, "the immediate declassification and release of all transcripts and documents relating to the July 10, 2001 meeting that took place between former CIA Director George Tenet and then National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice" as well as "the declassification and release of both the redacted 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry Into The Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001 (JICI) and the CIA Inspector General’s report, "CIA Accountability With Respect To The 9/11 Attacks".

On February 12th, Joseph Murtaugh interviewed Lorie Van Auken, and she said, “There’s no good reason for not signing this petition,” says Van Auken. “They’re just documents that help explain events leading up 9/11, and they should be in the public domain. If this petition were ever to hit 15,000 names, we’d take it to Washington.”

Bill Doyle and Bob McIlvaine today filed a petition with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) seeking correction of inaccurate factual statements and analysis in NIST's reports on the destruction of the Twin Towers.

Mr. Doyle is the representative of the largest group of 9/11 families, the Coalition of 9/11 Families*, and lost his own son Joey in the collapse of the twin towers.

Mr. McIlvaine, an outspoken 9/11 truth activist, lost his son Bobby when the World Trade Centers were destroyed.

Another prominent 9/11 family member supports the petition, but decided for personal reasons not to sign.

Some very good folks are putting together a legal petition having to do with the collapse of World Trade Center buildings 1, 2 and 7. The petition is going to be filed in the very near future.

They are looking for a survivor of the World Trade Center attacks or a family member of a victim to add to the Petition. There are already some very credible scientists who are signing the petition.

The petition is wholly unrelated to the petition of Jerry Leaphart and Ed Haas. Indeed, work on this petition begun many months before Mr. Leaphart and Mr. Haas' efforts.
