William Kristol, chairman of the Project for a New American Century (founded in 1997) spoke at the University of Texas in Austin about the current political climate and the "new order" or "new world" that emerged after 9/11. Protests, insults disrupt Kristol 9/11 speech

A speech by William Kristol, former chief of staff for former vice president Dan Quayle and editor of The Weekly Standard magazine, turned hostile Tuesday when students began hurling insults at Kristol, alleging his and the U.S. government's complicity in the Sept. 11 attacks.

"9/11 is your Pearl Harbor," said one student protestor, referring to a pre-Sept. 11 statement released by the Project for a New American Century, a conservative think tank Kristol chairs.

In a Sept. 2000 report titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses, " the group wrote, "Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor."

Some of the student protestors are members of the new UT student organization, Project for the New American Citizen, but the group did not officially organize the protest, said founder Matt Dayton. I'm sure most here are familiar with PNAC's "Rebuilding America's Defenses (RAD)" paper, which states "...the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor." However, we never hear much about an Israeli policy paper that preceded PNAC's RAD plan by four years entitled "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm".

The excerpt from the article below explains how Israel's "Clean Break" policy paper and PNAC's "RAD" plan are intimately related:

The $64,000.00 question of “Who done it?“ is found in the brainchild of Richard Perle and Benjamin Netanyahu…”A Clean Break”, the founding document of PNAC.

A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm

Commonly referred to as the "Clean Break" report, was prepared in 1996 by a study group led by Richard Perle. The other participants were James Colbert, Charles Fairbanks, Jr, Douglas Feith, Robert Loewenberg, Jonathan Torop, David Wurmser and Meyrav Wurmser
