Almost half of Britons apparently believe in captive space aliens [and 38% think 9/11 was an inside job]

blah, blah, blah, then:

"And despite the horror of the 9/11 attacks, more than one in three (38 per cent) are sure the twin towers atrocity was part of a plot backed by the US government to create an excuse to invade Iraq and Afghanistan.

A third of respondents pointed to a "lack of debris" outside the Pentagon crash site as proof that all is not as it seems."

I couldn't find the actual poll; please post as a blog entry if you do, or just put a link in the comments

Poll: The 911 stink that wont go away (Vote & Comment at OpEdNews.com)

The 911 stink that wont go away

Considering the extensive body of verifiable evidence that sharply contradicts the official version of the 911 attacks, if you were one person in a group that is preparing to address a large audience of fence-sitters, what single aspect of the crime would you find most compelling and choose to explore?

Oddly collapsing buildings, mysterious pre-impact flashes, missing aircraft debris, puddles of once molten steel and/or videotape anomolies.
The extensive yet seemingly taboo eye witness accounts of multiple, immense explosions prior to the collaspe of each of the WTC towers.
The speedy disposal of or classifying of crime scene evidence at three locations.
The removal of anti-terrorism expert, (in four administrations), Richard Clark from the presiden't inner circle in the months prior to the attacks, even though, according to FBI Chief George tenet that the entire US intelligence system was "blinking red".

Poll: Nearly half of Hudson residents blame feds for 9/11

Poll: Nearly half of Hudson residents blame feds for 9/11

Hudson County residents are more likely than not to believe that U.S. government officials chose to ignore warnings about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, according to a recent Jersey Journal/New Jersey City University poll.

But that doesn't mean the 49 percent who expressed that belief -- versus 46 percent who did not-- are all conspiracy theorists, said NJCU political science professor Fran Moran, one of the poll's authors.

"While everyone who believes in a conspiracy would answer 'yes' to (that question), not everyone who answered 'yes' would necessarily believe in the conspiracy," he wrote.

9/11 Poll for Scientists, Engineers and Architects

Please answer the following very simple poll, in order to help people understand the events of 9/11. People without a scientific background sometimes have trouble understanding which theories are likely to be true and which are not. This poll is not intended to reach a preconceived result. Instead, I am just trying to get a sense of what the scientific, engineering and architectural community believes.

Please give your honest opinion, based upon your scientific, engineering or architecture knowledge and experience.

For each theory listed below, state whether you think -- given the available evidence and the laws of science -- such a theory is likely or unlikely to be true:

1. World Trade Center Buildings 1, 2 and/or 7 were intentionally

2. The demolition was accomplished using conventional explosives, thermite or thermate.

3. The demolition was accomplished using directed energy weapons.

4. The demolition was accomplished using nuclear weapons.

5. Boeing airplanes crashed into the Twin Towers on 9/11, as the government claims.

Poll: US gov't knew about 9/11 attacks

A new poll indicates that some 43 percent of Americans believe that Washington knew about the 9/11 attacks but did nothing to stop them.

According to the Press TV-Zogby International poll, 42.5 percent of the respondents believed that the Bush Administration knew about the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center but did nothing to prevent the attacks.

Only 37.5 percent of the respondents strongly disagreed with the idea and 4.5 percent neither agreed nor disagreed with it.

On August 30, 2007, I polled 500 people who live in New York City on who they think is responsible for the terrorist attacks on 9/11. The results are pretty shocking. Nearly six years after the event, more then half of all New Yorkers don’t believe the official story.

The poll results continue to show that over 50% of New Yorkers polled, "do not support the official version"

New Poll in the works by www.911Truth.org

[GW's comment: please consider donating to 911Truth.org for their poll]

Some time ago, someone here brought up the suggestion of a new poll to see where the American people are regarding the issue of 9/11. www.911truth.org did a fine job of this in the past and they are planning on conducting another one. Here is some of the communication they have made recently regarding this effort...

"It is definitely time for a new national poll, and 911truth.org is preparing questions now to begin negotiations with a legitimate, respected polling organization. If you can contribute to this effort, which costs $1,000 per question plus $500-1000 for their professional analysis, please contribute ASAP. Please earmark your donation for the poll." -- 911Truth newsletter (7/18/07)

"We're working on the questions and will plan to be negotiating with them tomorrow!!" (7/18/07)

What happens when one of the champions of the progressive movement, who has led the fight against government corruption, corporatism and globalization by making Academy Award winning documentaries, has his comments banned from a leading liberal blog? And what’s more, this same liberal blog that censors his comments, currently runs an ad for his huge, groundbreaking new film on the top of their front page!

Should Daily Kos Revise its Policy on Discussion of 9/11?

Only 40% of U.S. Muslims believe 9/11 was carried out by "Arabs"

Following on a poll of Muslim populations in Morocco, Egypt, Pakistan and Indonesia that showed only 25% of these people accepted the official identification of the perpetrators of 9/11, comes a new poll focused on American Muslims by the respected Pew Research Center in DC.

Muslim Americans: Middle Class and Mostly Mainstream

May 22, 2007

The first-ever, nationwide, random sample survey of Muslim Americans finds them to be largely assimilated, happy with their lives, and moderate with respect to many of the issues that have divided Muslims and Westerners around the world.

The Pew Research Center conducted more than 55,000 interviews to obtain a national sample of 1,050 Muslims living in the United States. Interviews were conducted in English, Arabic, Farsi and Urdu. The resulting study, which draws on Pew's survey research among Muslims around the world, finds that Muslim Americans are a highly diverse population, one largely composed of immigrants. Nonetheless, they are decidedly American in their outlook, values and attitudes. This belief is reflected in Muslim American income and education levels, which generally mirror those of the public...

...Relatively few Muslim Americans believe the U.S.-led war on terror is a sincere effort to reduce terrorism, and many doubt that Arabs were responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Just 40% of Muslim Americans say groups of Arabs carried out those attacks.

22% of Canadians believe 9/11 was an inside job

One in 5 Canadians sees 9/11 as U.S. plot - agoracosmopolitan.com

One in five Canadians believes the attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, had nothing to do with Osama Bin Laden and were actually a plot by influential Americans, according to a poll released that had been released by Ipsos-Reid. The cited poll found that 22 percent of Canadians, and 26 percent of young Canadians, agree with the theory that 9/11 was "an inside job". The number was the highest, at 32 percent, in Quebec, which has shown the least support for the U.S. war on terror.

The poll asked if the events of September 11, "including the thousands of American citizens who lost their lives on that day, were actually orchestrated by a group of highly influential Americans and others as part of a wider global conspiracy to profit from and gain power and who are actually protecting Osama Bin Laden from being captured."

As the 9/11 Truth Movement grows in Canada, with the growing availability of critical perspective concerning 9/11, it is likely that more and more Canadians will share the view that 9/11 was somehow an "inside job".

Please vote for Amazon review slamming CIA-da capo Geo Tenet's new bestseller "At the Center of the Storm"

Once again, so-called "revelatory" disinformation by "former" CIA figures hits the best-seller list.

But Amazon gives us a chance to write reviews of such works, and reach large numbers of shoppers with the truth about the CIA and 9/11.

Amazingly, they've just posted my review entitled "Lies, Damned Lies and CIA Revelations" (see first few paragraphs below.)

You can do two things to promote 9/11 Truth here-

- Vote for this review to help keep it on the top page where book browsers will see it. The link is http://www.amazon.com/At-Center-Storm-Years-CIA/dp/0061147788
- Try your hand at posting your own reviews.

(If your review isn't posted right away, try working on it some more. I often spend a couple hours fine-tuning a review so it abides by the rules, gets past the censor, and carries a punch without being too offputting to the unaccustomed reader.)

Well, this one has put quite a few people off.
The 4 to 1 vote against me, and the praise lavished on Tenet's lies by unsuspecting reader-reviewers there, show we still have a lot of waking up to do!

Please Vote to Save 9/11 Truth Prof Kevin Barrett's Post at U of WI

Kevin Barrett has got back in the news again, and the Wisconsin TV station has put up a poll question on their website today,

at http://www.channel3000.com/news/13255407/detail.html

"Do you think Kevin Barrett should have a teaching position next fall at UW-Madison?"

Just now there were only 314 votes, with 61% saying No Way and only 33% saying Yes, definitely.
We have a chance to turn that around.

Kevin of course is the professor and 9/11 Truth Activist who has come under heavy fire from neocons in Wisconsin who are pressing hard to have him fired for his views on 9/11.

Kevin's website is www.mujca.com, the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance. He converted to Islam after marrying a Moroccan woman, and has recently taught a course on Islam at U. of Wisconsin.

There is also a great story at the above link about his upcoming trip to Morocco to "arrest a hijacker" and his challenge to debate a neocon totalitarian enemy of free speech in the Wisconsin legislature.
