Yes, the quest for a new and true investigation of the 9/11 attacks seems like a lost cause. Still, some brave souls go out on a limb and press the issue with politicians and media celebrities. For these brave, persistent souls, I am compiling a list of short, to the point questions to ask...
1. If the president is told, "we're under attack," and he doesn't take on his duties as commander in chief of the military -- is that technically treason ("aid and comfort" to the "enemy")?
2. How many NORAD fighter jets were assigned to protect America on January 20 2001 -- the day Bush took office -- as compared to on 9/11?
3. If the 28 redacted pages of the Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11 implicate the Saudi Arabian government, as Senator Graham has said, isn't it time to expose this and to tell the American people the truth?
4. If America is fighting a "war" on terrorism, then why are they supporting terrorist groups called "MEK" and "Jundullah" right now, as reported by Seymour Hersh in the New Yorker?
An ancient philosopher discovered that his students learned more if he asked a series of questions than if he gave them the answers.
By asking questions which challenged his students' faulty beliefs, and allowing them to think through it themselves, Socrates moved them slowly - using a series of questions - from false thinking towards truth.
Indeed, law schools today primarily use this "Socratic Method" of teaching.
A 9/11 activist wrote a good example of the use of the Socratic Method for 9/11 truth in an email:
President George W. Bush
updated May 13, 2004
As Commander-in-Chief on the morning of 9/11, why didn’t you return immediately to Washington, D.C. or the National Military Command Center once you became aware that America was under attack? At specifically what time did you become aware that America was under attack? Who informed you of this fact?
Vice President Richard Cheney
Please discuss the advice and plans of the Energy Advisory Council specifically as they relate to pipeline development and gas/oil exploration in Afghanistan, Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries, and the feasibility of such development or exploration specifically in those two countries in 2001.

Is Keith Olbermann ready to ask some real questions?
He called George Bush a fascist today.
He also said that two years ago to merely suggest that the government was using terror on it's own people was dangerous territory.
Here is the whole special comment; you be the judge and if you think he might be ready than start sending him evidence and questions he should be asking.
Keith Olbermann’s Special Comment on today’s Countdown was a scathing rebuke of President Bush for continuing to play the fear card, trying to scare the hell out of the American people and vowing to veto any FISA legislation that does not contain telecom amnesty.
You are a liar, Mr. Bush, and after showing some skill at it, you have ceased to even be a very good liar.
And your minions like John Boehner — your Republican congressional crash dummies who just happen to decide to walk out of Congress when a podium-full of microphones await them — they should just keep walking, out of Congress and if possible, out of the country.
Near the end of this interview Bush says;
"Whether it be Afghanistan or Iraq, we got more work to do. We the free world has more work to do, and I believe those of us who live in liberty have a responsibility to promote forms of government that deal with what causes 19 kids to get on airplanes to kill 3000 students."
What is he talking about???
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich questioned President Bush's mental health in light of comments he made about a nuclear Iran precipitating World War III.
"I seriously believe we have to start asking questions about his mental health," Kucinich, an Ohio congressman, said in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer's editorial board on Tuesday. "There's something wrong. He does not seem to understand his words have real impact."
Be a Part of HuffPost's Online-Only Presidential Candidate Mashup
What's a candidate mashup? It's a new kind of campaign forum that will put you in charge of shaping exactly what kind of viewing experience you want to have -- from the questions that are asked to the way you can pick and choose the issues you want to hear about and the candidates you want to hear from.
Here's how it will work: Charlie Rose, armed with questions you have sent in, will have a conversation with each of the candidates (more on these questions in a minute). The intimacy that Charlie always brings to his conversations is the perfect compliment to the intimacy, directness, and authenticity that were the hallmark of so many of the public's YouTube questions.
After the candidates have finished talking, the video will be coded and put at your disposal -- empowering you to create the candidate mashups of your choosing.
"Not to worry, this is not about truth seekers or conspiracy theories. It’s not about the long list of anomalies and discrepancies in the official story of 9/11. It’s not even about the undeniable fact that the events of 9/11 gave George Bush and his handlers the keys to the neocon kingdom of empire. It really is not.
"What it’s about is the strangest phenomenon I can recall in my entire adult life. It’s about what I perceive to be an extraordinary lapse in the logic of millions of otherwise sensible Americans. And it’s about something I cannot wrap my mind around, no matter how I try. Maybe someone out there can help me understand what’s going on.
(long list of Bushco lies)
"So, after becoming aware of lie after lie after lie by Bushco, why would anyone in his or her right mind FULLY EMBRACE THE OFFICIAL STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED ON 9/11 WITHOUT A SINGLE QUESTION? Why would anyone in the United Sates of America conclude that the official version of the most important event in recent American history AS TOLD BY PROVEN LIARS is true?"
Just a couple of questions to you all. Why have we not called ourselves together in boycotting the media, big oil, and every corporation,(i.e.Disney) that we can think of? This seems to me to be a great way of helping to slow their machinations and getting support from other less informed citizens and fence-sitters. If we unite, we can make a sizable financial statement to all involved in this cover-up and pillage of our economy.
Second question. I asked this one of Jack Blood, the other day, on his show @ www.wtprn.com (I believe a simulcast from www.gcnlive.com)
In light of the known scientific discrepencies and admitted flaws and suppositions, Sibel Edmonds and Nelson Mineta's neglected testimony, (among others), ignored references to Able Danger and a host of other omissions and distotions, (well covered by Dr. Griffin), why are we not screaming for an investigation of the 9/11 Commission itself. In my opinion this is the foundation of their "tower of lies", and once removed, like those of the WTC towers, would readily collapse into their own footprint.
I submitted this e-mail to Bill O'Reilly. I want to credit Altruist, Dem Bruce Lee and JJJames for a few quotes of theirs I paraphrased from the comments section. ____________________________________________________________________________________
In 1990, when I was in sixth grade in Cincinnati, I first became drawn into watching news and following current events. Every single day after school and music lessons I would watch: News 5 at 5:30/6:00 with Jerry Springer. (Gotta love it, eh.) Then Tom Brokaw. Then, Inside Edition, with Bill O'Reilly. "We give you something to think about."
Boy, did I love watching you every single night before starting up on my math homework, Bill. Your charisma and flair for reporting passionately about con-artists, murderers and rapists, and topics of controversy truly made me a fan of yours. In those days you were 60 Minutes' only competition!
Back then, you were quite a hard-hitting reporter:

(NOTE: No name calling. I want to open a serious discussion with those who are willing. I ask people who support inside job theories to comment on the OP if they wish but to avoid snark in this thread and wait on adding their own new questions for 48 hours.)
Isn't Cheney's continued linking of the Saddam regime to al-Qaeda and the 9/11 events the most "outrageous conspiracy theory" of all? Did it not have more real-world impact than any other conspiracy theory? Note that he did it again yesterday:
Should 9/11 have been responded to as a crime against humanity, or as an act of war?
Is it untrue that 9/11 was employed as the justification for military actions and domestic policies that would have otherwise been politically difficult or infeasible? Is it untrue that each of these actions and policies was explicitly desired and planned in advance by the main players of the Bush administration?
Do you justify the appointment of Philip Zelikow as the executive director of the 9/11 Commission? Does not this appointment on its face indicate a cover-up?
This document, an 'oldie but goodie,' will remain timely as long as Rudi Giuliani lives. Who knows? If a Republican is elected President, Rudi may be appointed to some high Administration post.

Statement and Questions Regarding the 9/11 Commission Interview of Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Members of his Administration
revised May 11, 2004
The Family Steering Committee is pleased that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and members of his Administration will be giving sworn testimony before an audience of Families of 9/11 Victims and the American public.
Since the Commission is responsible for fulfilling the Congressional mandate to investigate all facts relating to 9/11, the following questions for the Giuliani Administration and the Port Authority of NY & NJ must be addressed at the May 18th –19th hearings in order to facilitate informed decisions and recommendations.
I'll post some commentary soon, once I'm all comfy here. Meantime I need to kick things off by asking some questions which some of you can probably answer more easily than I can find the answers on my own.
1. Is there a convenient way to see all replies to my posts here? I'm currently just refreshing the "news" page and looking for new comments, and then hunting those down one page and one comment at a time. That's not very efficient. I see in the help section that I'm supposed to be able to do this by "clicking 'recent posts' in the 'Site Sections' panel at the top panel of the left sidebar." Problem is, there is no "Site Sections" item anywhere on my screen. There is a "site features" page but that's a dead end.
2. Is there anything like a user's guide for this site, or is the stuff behind the "About * F.A.Q. * Site Features * Contact Us * Rules * Help" bar it?
3. Who appointed Philip Zelikow to the commission? Bush? Cheney? Other? Who assigned the duties to the various commission members and staffers?
4. Should I submit some poll ideas? I notice it hasn't been changed since I got here a week or 2 ago....
bruce1337 says yes
Sometimes asking people questions gets them thinking more than rattling off a laundry list of facts at them. Its not how much you can impress other 9/11 truthers about your knowledge or your pet theories that count. Its how good you are at reaching newbies. This is a good list of basic questions from Rock Creek Free Press.
Why Has the Greatest Crime in U.S. History Never Been Criminally Investigated?
and other Unanswered Questions about September 11, 2001
For five years the 911truth movement has been quietly building support. While many ideas and theories have been put forth about what happened in that fateful day, the main thrust of the movement is to push for a new investigation of 9/11 to answer the many still unanswered questions such as:
Why did the administration ignore warnings, some specific as to date and place, from at least 11 foreign intelligence
services delivered to Washington prior to 9/11? Why were several prominent Americans, including top military brass, warned not to fly on 9/11?
Missing Air Defense:
If you start telling someone about 9-11, there are three possibilities. Of course, it depends on which version you are talking about. For those of us who have tried to explain that 9-11 is more than the official story, we get to sentence number two, if we are lucky.
- NO WAY!! Are you totally out of your mind?!”
- But why do you think that…
- No! I don’t want to hear about it. It`s sick.
- Have you seen 9-11…
- Yes. I have seen it, read about it and I know what happened.
- …Press For Truth, I ment
- What is that?
- It’s a film about 9-11 and…
- Yeah, right! Conspiracy shit.
And that’s usually the end of discussion. The next possibility is a softer experience, but maybe more demoralizing.
- Oh, really? You think so? (looks confused and raising an eyebrow)
- Well, listen……………………….
Your selling your story about put-options, PDB on 6tf of August, controlled demolitions, steel-framed high-rise buildings, Mohamed Atta`s passport (maybe interrupted by “Who`s Atta?”), trillion dollar military systems not working, cell phone calls in high altitude, Hani Hanjour`s Top Gun maneuver, and the Pentagon videos.
