On this week's episode of Media Roots Radio, Robbie and Abby Martin talk about the new TSA procedures and privacy violations despite the nonexistent threat of terrorism, Bush's book tour and the media giving him a pass, and analyze the WhatTheFuckHasObamaDoneSoFar website. On the second half of the show we talk about the Israeli and Palestinian conflict, the Freedom Flotilla raid and air a forty minute interview with a survivor of the Flotilla attack, Dr. Paul Larudee.
Listen to last week's broadcast about Pyschedelic Drugs, the CIA, LSD, DMT, the DEA, Lucid Dreaming and Consiousness.
How did we get to the point of full body scans at airports, the massive personal intrusion that represents, and the tens of millions spent for machines that irradiate us as a consequence of merely flying from here to there?
The proximate cause is the attempted bombing of a December 25, 2009 Northwest airlines flight. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, an engineering student, attempted to mix, then detonate a bomb as Northwest Flight 253 from Amsterdam made its descent to Detroit's Metropolitan Airport. Mr. Abdulmutallab somehow got on the flight with the chemicals undetected, hidden in his underwear. (Image)
On this week's episode of Media Roots radio we question why Fox news has been spearheading the Able Danger investigation and why the 'intellectual left' reinforces the myth of the War on Terror and Al Qaeda. We also discuss Jan Brewer's shocking public appearances and dispel popular talking points and myths about Iran by scrutinizing things like the mistranslated mantra 'Israel should be wiped off the map'.
The above timeline is interactive. Scroll through it to find out more about the show's musie links to resources mentioned during the broadcast.
These are the first and second episodes of Media Roots radio with hosts Abby and Robbie Martin. We break through the left/ right paradigm and speak the truth about 9/11, Obama, the media, terrorism and pharmaceutical drugs. This radio show airs on shortwave radio Sundays at 6pm central time, following the Alex Jones show on frequency 9.350 MHz.
7/7: Seeds of Deconstruction is a brand new, independent feature-length documentary exploring many of the questions and conspiracy theories about 7/7, the 7th July 2005 London Bombings.
The film places the debate about 7/7 firmly in the context of the history of Western-backed covert operations. The first half of the film examines three periods from the 20th century: Central America in the 1950s and 1960s(CIA coups in Guatemala and Cuba); Italy during the Cold War (NATO's Operation Gladio); Afghanistan and the Balkans in the 1980s and 1990s (Operation Cyclone and the wars in the former Yugoslavia).
Though the movie does not explore 9/11 in detail, it functions as a detailed account of false flag terrorism in general, and so speaks to the debate about 9/11 as much as it does to the debate about 7/7. The second half of the film examines 7/7 in details, and concludes with a lengthy discussion on intelligence and security policy that includes the stories of several probable double agents, including the American Junaid Babar.

(SOTT) – Any theory that does not match experiment is wrong. It doesn’t matter what the computer models predict, how much funding is behind it, what the experts say, or what everyone “thinks”. Nothing can fool the laws of physics.

Administration Eyes Foreign Link in Times Square Bomb Plot
The investigation into the Times Square car bomb has started to reveal information that suggests the failed attack was the work of an international plot, a senior administration official told Fox News.
The official could not definitively say whether a foreign conspiracy was behind the incident, but that the body of evidence was moving in that direction.
The Washington Post first reported that officials were eyeing an international connection. One official told the Post that "some tell-tale signs" have led investigators to look at a "foreign nexus."
Is it me? Have I become so cynical that I believe nothing I see/hear reported in the MSM in particular when it comes to "bomb scares."? Because this latest "bomb scare in my city seemed like nothing more than a prank, or a set-up to show how badly we need two things: 1) police cameras, and 2) to be very, very afraid.
Perhaps I'd be less cynical if within the first 4 minutes of the local news report I was watching the word "terrorism" had not been used 11 times. Or, if there wasn't a blatant suggestion that "home grown" terrorists were become the real problem (i.e, US, the citizens of the United States are the REAL TERRORISTS). Or, if there were not some representative of government law enforcement explaining how hidden and not so hidden camera's are so crucial to the life and death of citizens.
Or, if a brutally ugly and biased piece like this:
from the NY Times wasn't so predictably foreboding in its import. Note: passersby were asked their opinion, as if their opinion mattered in the dissemination of a news story, and what did they have to say?

WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff.
Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded.
The Bipartisan Policy Center has created Cyber ShockWave, a simulated cyber attack on our nation. To defend against this attack, a working group of high-ranking former White House, Cabinet and national security officials will come together. Their mission: to advise the President as the nation grapples with this crisis.
The Bipartisan Policy Center, a nonprofit organization focused on various issues including national and homeland security, will be unleashing Cyber ShockWave on Tuesday, February 16th. Cyber ShockWave, a cyber-attack simulation, will allow the government to assess response times and improvement areas shall they ever encounter the real deal.
A group of high-ranking former White House, Cabinet and national security officials will band together to fend off this simulated cyber-attack. As the event unfolds, the participants will be advising the President and planning a strategical response. None of the participants have any advanced information regarding the simulated attacks. The event even goes as far as hiring professional scriptwriters to coach the security experts and a production company to recreate the White House situation room in the Mandarin hotel.
Top Intel Officer: U.S. May Kill Americans Abroad
By John Byrne, Raw Story
Posted on February 4, 2010, Printed on February 4, 2010
In a striking admission from the Obama Administration's top intelligence officer, Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair announced Wednesday that the United States may target its own citizens abroad for death if it believes they are associated with terrorist groups.
"We take direct action against terrorists in the intelligence community," Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair told the House Intelligence Committee. He said US counter-terrorism officials may try to kill American citizens embroiled in extremist groups overseas with "specific permission" from higher up.
If "we think that direct action will involve killing an American, we get specific permission to do that," Blair said in response to questions from the panel's top Republican, Representative Pete Hoekstra.

Investigate NIST Officials Shyam Sunder and John Gross
Summary: I am writing to urge immediate investigation of Shyam Sunder and John Gross of NIST for the following possible violations in their investigations of the destruction of the 3 WTC towers in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001: (1) waste, fraud and abuse, (2) making false and/or incompetent statements, (3) mismanagement, and (4) possible misprision of felonies.
While this article does not question the general narrative about how 9/11 happened and who was responsible, it does highlight some important facts about the stated motivations of KSM, Bin Laden and Islamic radicals in general, that the MSM are omitting, as usual- even though its been noted by the 9/11 Commission, Dick Cheney and the Pentagon's Defense Science Board, among others. It's not because "they hate our freedoms"; it's US policy makers' support of tyrant allies in oil-rich nations, and one-sided support for Israel, despite its human rights abuses. - loose nuke
Shining Light on Roots of Terrorism
By Ray McGovern
November 15, 2009
Media commentary on the upcoming 9/11 trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has raised concern that state secrets may be divulged, including details about how the Bush administration used torture to extract evidence about al-Qaeda.
“I think that we’re going to shine a light on something that a lot of people don’t want to look at” is how American Civil Liberties Union attorney Denney LeBoeuf put it, according to The New York Times on Saturday.
