The Year of Living Dangerously: Part Two of Two

An Absence of Will

Under constant manipulations, lies and propaganda, a nation of courage has become a nation of cowards. A nation that once questioned its leaders now falls lockstep behind them, blindly following criminality and corruption. A nation that once stood for protests, strikes, marches, sit-ins, challenging the government and seeking accountability now prefers sitting comfortably on couches or chairs, watching the world pass by through television sets or laptops, some becoming arm-chair activists, most simply rotting away their lives, preferring the life of a couch potato, passively ignoring the destruction of rights and freedoms, silently acquiescing to myriad number of crimes against humanity, and obediently shopping, purchasing and consuming according to the dictates of the corporatist world, their new god the Almighty Dollar commanding them to congregate at the Cathedrals of Consumerism, the Malls of Materialism, told to do their job and be good consumers, spending what little they have, even consuming with money that they do not have, and must therefore borrow.

Was It Al Qaeda?

Pakistan's government was quick to blame Al Qaeda and the Taliban for the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, but U.S. officials caution that it's too early to pin the blame on any group in particular.

U.S. experts believe that Islamic jihadists with possible connections to Al Qaeda are the most likely perpetrators behind Thursday's assassination of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto. But counter-terrorism officials warn that U.S. agencies believe it is still to early to pin the blame for the attack on any particular extremist group or faction.

TOPOFF 4 - Frequently Asked Questions

Noble Resolve seems to fall into the category of a Functional Exercise, and Top Off seems more of a Full-scale Exercise.

This provides a wealth information which will be useful in the preparation for the next round of terror drills in Portland, brought to you by the terrorism agency, Department of Homeland Security!!

Wonder if Congressman DeFazio will have gained access to the classified parts of NSPD51 by October?!

Video - Police State For Dummies

'Police State For Dummies' is a self-made 9/11 related music video by Canadian artist Neon Uris. It is basically a trailer for a forthcoming CD release.

Some of his older (mainly solo accoustic) songs can be found here

In this video, he really cranks it out on the electric guitar - Enjoy!

United 175 Nose Dive Bomber - South Tower

On 9/11/2001 flight 175 dropped into a deadly nose dive and locked in to position on a collision course with the south tower. With unearthly precision, the plane banks the whole time zeroing in on the towers at full speed.

NOTE the very last tilt to the left the plane does just before impact - Looks very AUTOMATIC!

I have a hard time embracing the 'No Plane Theory'...

"A Mighty Heart": Myths and Martyrs

Here are my impressions of "A Mighty Heart", a film that could have offered important insights into 9/11, but didn't...

“A Mighty Heart” is a fully-funded attempt at creating myths and martyrs, a slick but tiresome propaganda package that quickly loses credibility due to its obvious bias and unrelenting exploitation of tear-jerking flashback memories and heart-rending emotional outbursts from a “vulnerable but tough” Mariane Pearl (Angelina Jolie), who is also very pregnant. Her stunning good looks were apparently enlisted to shore up the questionable content of the film. Any words that emerge from close-up shots of those voluptuous lips MUST be true, after all. Thankfully, the theater was nearly empty on a Friday night.

This is taken from an interview on the Rob Simone Radio Show last year.

The entire 2 hr interview can be downloaded here: (27mb, .mp3, 2hr)

The file is also downloadable in eight segments i.e. for the car - just replace 'Simone' with 'Part1', 'Part2' etc

Bad Company: Yet Another "Terrorist Plot" Orchestrated by the CIA?

He's a Company man: Russell DeFreitas, a former employee of the CIA's Evergreen Airlines, appears in court.

When asked what he thought of Western Civilization, Ghandi reportedly replied that he thought it would be a good idea.*

One could very well speak in the same vein of the entity called the Central Intelligence Agency. It might be useful if the federal government (once thrown back into its constitutional cage, of course) had an agency devoted to collecting relevant intelligence, rather than what it has now – a body involved in propagating turmoil, terror, and subversion throughout most of the world.

FLASHBACK: The 9-11 Commission Charade by Ron Paul

"More than anything, our federal government should stop deluding us that more government is the answer. We have far more to fear from an unaccountable government at home than from any foreign terrorist."

Can I get an "Amen" on that for Brother Paul.

The 9-11 Commission Charade

by Rep. Ron Paul, MD - August 24, 2004

The 9-11 Commission report, released late last month, has disrupted the normally quiet Washington August. Various congressional committees are holding hearings on the report this week, even though Congress is not in session, in an attempt to show the government is “doing something” about terrorism in an election year. The Commission recommendations themselves have been accepted reverently and without question, as if handed down from on high.

CBS: The Modern Face of Terrorism (Is A Bunch of Dupes)

Kevin Drum of CBS News marveled at the recent arrests of alleged terror suspects who were said to be planning an attack on an army base:

"Let me get this striaght: these guys dropped off jihadi videos at a local store, talked to Philly cops about getting a map of Ft. Dix, were still trying to procure weapons after 17 months of planning, and practiced for the attack by playing paintball.

This reminds me of that guy who planned to bring down the Brooklyn Bridge with a blowtorch. Or those dudes who wanted to destroy the Sears Tower but couldn't even afford to buy boots and rental cars, let alone explosives. Or Jose Padilla, who, it turns out, was a deluded schmoe who didn't really have serious plans to do much of anything.

Is al-Qaeda recruiting these doofuses just to lull us into a false sense of security? Or maybe they're Jon Stewart fans and want to provide him with fresh material? WTF?"

Many potential Padilla jurors unsure of 9/11 attacks blame

MIAMI: A significant number of potential jurors in the terrorism case against alleged al-Qaida operative Jose Padilla say they are not sure who is responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, many because they do not trust the news media or U.S. government pronouncements.

"There are too many ifs, too many things going on," one male juror said. "I don't know the whole story."

Others say they just do not pay close enough attention to world events to be certain.

"I'm oblivious to that stuff," one prospective female juror said during questioning this week. "I don't watch the news much. I try to avoid it."

As of Thursday, more than 160 people had been questioned individually since jury selection began April 16 for the trial of Padilla and two co-defendants on charges of being part of a North American support cell for Islamic extremists. A jury is expected to be seated next week, with testimony to begin May 14.
