Edward Snowden, the NSA whistleblower who stole thousands of classified documents before leaving the United States recently made an unexpected and unscheduled appearance at a TED conference in Vancouver, Canada on Tuesday night. It was done so VIA satellite robot, where he emphasized that there is still a lot of reporting to be done.
What has come as a surprise to many, is the fact that the NSA and other intelligence organizations, as Snowden puts it, “a super national intelligence organization that doesn’t answer to the laws of its own countries,” has been spying on what seems to be the entire global population.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” ~ Margaret Mead
For 2 weeks during the Olympic Games, Darren and the brave men and woman of the Vancouver 911 Truth Society and WeAreChangeVancouver brought the message of 911 Truth to MILLIONS of people on National Olympic Broadcasts while risking abuse and assaults by drunken cowards, haters of free speech and paid operatives almost every single night.
The “Coalition of the Willing” is pleased to announce that Splitting the Sky (aka John Boncore), the man who has been taking action and speaking out since the early 70s on so many fronts, including the Attica Rebellion and the Gustafsen Lake Stand Off, and who has been investigating the 9/11 money trail to expose the real perps, AND connecting the dots to those behind the global financial collapse. Most recently he tried to arrest George W. Bush in Calgary for war crimes, and is now, himself, being charged for assault for trying to effect a "citizen's arrest" of Bush. You will learn WHY he did this and WHAT he hopes to accomplish with his court case, and HOW this is important for all activists, and indeed for humanity.

Vancouver BC – What started out as a simple petition, has turned into a lot more. The Vancouver 9/11 Truth Society is proud to announce the launch of the 2008 Truth Tour, set for August 29th – September 15th, 2008.
On August 29th, a busload of hard working and dedicated Vancouver 9/11 Truth activists will begin their trip across the country to meet up with their counterparts in Eastern Canada, and join them in Montreal for the March on Ottawa that will be commencing Sept 7th. During their 8 day trip across the country, they will be stopping in various cities along the way to give away free DVD’s, educate people about the flaws of the 9/11 Commission Report, continue to collect signatures and show the country that 9/11 Truth will not quit – not until this war is over, and not until Canadian troops are back home.

Vancouver BC - Today various members of the Vancouver 9/11 Truth Society got together at Queen Elizabeth Park to brainstorm various ideas about how we (Canadians) should rebuild our economic and political structures for the coming Post 9/11 Truth World. 9/11 may have thus far changed Canada – and America for that matter – for the worse, but it has also helped millions of us open our minds to the truth behind government secrecy and corruption like never before. 9/11 Truth will open many doors to the possibilities of a restructured government that have not been opened since the founding of our nation. This, combined with modern communication capabilities, can give us an opportunity like none other in the history of modern civilization. Now is not too early to think about which doors we would like to venture through, and which ones are better left to be left behind.

Vancouver BC - Rob Duffy, Assistant to Canadian MP Libby Davies, has informed the Vancouver 9/11 Truth Society that the petition read in Canadian Parliament last Tuesday regarding the demand for a Canadian Investigation into 9/11 will be handled by none other than Canadian Minister of Public Safety, Stockwell Day.
Although such a document should likely be placed on the desk of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, perhaps some insight was used when the decision was made to forward this homework assignment to Mr. Day instead.
When we look at the credentials of Mr. Day we can see why this decision was made. Indeed, we see that no other Minister should have such a grand understanding of 9/11 than him. Mr. Day understands intelligence. He is a former CSIS agent himself. CSIS showed Canada it’s impressive counter terrorist abilities by uncovering the Air India Bombing plot in 1985 well before it happened. Unfortunately, they failed to pass this information on to the RCMP (he has worked there too) before it was too late. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/05/17/airindia-csis.htm
Thank you Vancouver Sun, for doing so much to promote this film

Filmmakers from two European countries have turned the lens on U.S. malfeasance, shining a light on some its darker corners. Both films track a hero who struggles valiantly to bring a little justice to this world:

The United States portrays itself as the land of freedom, but the film Kill The Messenger by Mathieu Verboud and Jean-Robert Viallet casts serious doubt on that notion. The film from France documents the cold, crass efforts by the powers-that-be in the U.S. to bring down Sibel Edmonds, an American of Iranian and Turkish origin who was hired by the FBI as a translator in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy. She spent months translating high-security clearance documents.
Short commentaries from Luke Ryland on the upcoming Sibel Edmonds film screening, clips from news coverage:
Kill The Messenger, the documentary about FBI translator & whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, will be screened at the DOXA film festival in Vancouver on Saturday evening.
The Vancouver Sun lists Kill The Messenger as one of their 'Best Bets' for the festival.
As some of you know, I've been traveling for the last few months and haven't posted anything on Sibel's case for a while - unfortunately not much has happened in the interim.
There are still tickets available for the screening of Kill The Messenger at the DOXA festival in Vancouver on Saturday night. You can get your tickets here.
You may have already seen some of my YouTubes about the film. The trailer is here. In this new 5 minute clip from Kill The Messenger, Sibel's ACLU lawyers discuss the case.
From the clip:
Ann Beeson: It’s really phenomenal to me that any court can look at her case and say: "No, it can’t go forward, proceed or win her claim."

Six films you don't want to miss at the 2008 DOXA Documentary Film Festival:
Kill the Messenger
This French film documents the cold, crass efforts by officials in the U.S. to bring down Sibel Edmonds, an American of Iranian and Turkish origin who was hired by the FBI as a translator after Sept. 11, 2001. Reporting the possible infiltration of Turkish spies turns her life upside down: she is interrogated, fired, and subjected to a relentless campaign of intimidation. Edmonds doesn't back down as she takes her fight to Congress, the 9/11 Commission, the media, and the Supreme Court. Saturday, May 31 at 9 p.m. at Pacific Cinémathèque.

Well, yesterday was absolutely incredible. Clear blue skies, and perfect temperatures to be outside in the sun. Though some in our group at first had reservations about participating in a parade meant to show support and acceptance to Vancouver's gay and lesbian community, I am very happy to say it was our most successful group action so far. An estimated three hundred thousand open minded and curious people saw our message and unity, and we quite nearly ran out of free material to give away. Though I personally was manning the "home base" tent on the beach with a few others while the parade and crowds were winding their way towards us, there was a tremendous amount of positive feedback displayed during the parade, with some people erupting into spontaneous applause and chants of "9/11 was an inside job!" To be sure, there were a few negative outbursts as well, but these were outnumbered by far by the amount of cheers, support, and thanks that we received.
Vancouver 9/11 Truth's founding member Rukshana gave a short, but very potent and memorable statement at the David Ray Griffin event on May 16th, 2007. She spoke in particular to media cowardice and coverups. and their lack of journalistic integrity in reporting on 9/11.
This came after DRG had spoken and many may have missed it. Those who did hear it have raved about it, so we have seperated it and made it available to download from our website.
It is only about 5 minutes long and just 1.3 MBs, but well worth the listen.
9/11 'Truthers' uncovering disturbing anomalies

They're "nutcases" to Vancouver writer Terry Glavin, "gibbering idiots" to British author and Guardian columnist George Monbiot, and "conspiracy nuts" to U.S. political writer Alexander Cockburn. They're promoting "crap," says David Corn, Washington editor of The Nation. They're trafficking in "pure fantasy" that is "rotting peoples brains," says Canadian military analyst and author Gwynne Dyer.
They're opponents of the Bush administration who reject the official story on 9/11. And their most vocal critics hail not from the right, but from North America's progressive left. Ignored by mainstream media, and vilified by the alternative press, the so-called "9/11 Truth movement" probably wouldn't exist without the Internet. A huge online presence, with thousands of blogs and websites, has inspired the creation of films, DVDs and the organization of international conferences. The movement has chapters across North America, including in Vancouver.
A new video presentation, created specifically for the Vancouver 9/11 Truth Conference featuring Prof. Graeme MacQueen of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, entitled:
"9/11 Commission Report bars 503 1st responder eyewitnesses"
This is a preview (10 minutes) of his presentation to the conference, June 22nd to 24th, which will also be made available on DVD. Produced by Snowshoe Films
Prof. MacQueen is the founder of the "Center for Peace Studies"
