WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that the U.S. government had properly classified top secret more than 50 images of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden taken after his death, and that the government did not need to release them.

The unanimous ruling by three judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit rejected a request for the images by a conservative nonprofit watchdog group.

Judicial Watch sued for photographs and video from the May 2011 raid in which U.S. special forces killed bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan, after more than a decade of searching.

The organization's lawsuit relied on the Freedom of Information Act, a 1966 law that guarantees public access to some government documents.

In an unsigned opinion, the appeals court accepted an assertion from President Barack Obama's administration that the images are so potent that releasing them could cause riots that would put Americans abroad at risk.

TJ Gilmartin Denied Parade Honoring 9/11 First Responders

The city has denied a request from a disabled Ground Zero worker to organize a ticker-tape parade honoring 9/11 first responders.

51-year old TJ Gilmartin from Queens said that despite filing all the necessary paperwork and receiving support from community members, the city's lack of financial resources ultimately killed his chance at a permit.

Gilmartin went even further to say that first responders have never been properly thanked:

When everybody 10 years ago were running out of Manhattan, including probably most of the politicians, we went in and nobody has ever said thank you. I don't know what kind of game is being played, I'm sure police want the parade. It's called the 'Canyon of Heroes;' they've called us all heroes, so why can't we walk down that 'Canyon' just like the Giants are going to do.

Questions should be asked about the science behind the falling of the World Trade Center buildings 10 years ago, panelists agreed Tuesday night.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga hosted the event, "The Science of 9/11," which began with a moment of silence for the families who lost loved ones.

The discussion "is an opportunity to illustrate the application of the scientific method to a real life event that most Americans remember exactly where they were," said UTC professor of anthropology Lyn Miles, one of the event's coordinators.

There are also more than 1,500 architects and engineers who have raised scientific questions over the collapse of the World Trade Center and are calling for a full investigation of 9/11, and it's worthwhile to discuss why, she added.

The school showed the documentary "Architects & Engineers 9/11 Truth," also the name of the nonprofit that says the collapse of the buildings was not caused by the impact of the planes but by explosives or controlled demolition.

Close to 300 people attended the event, many university students, who often cheered the comments made from one of the panelists, David Johnson, a University of Tennessee at Knoxville urban planning professor emeritus and urban engineering expert, who also calls for a new investigation of what happened on that day when almost 3,000 people were killed.

Last sunday Prof. Dr. Niels Harrit adressed some people in Hamburg, Germany. Although it's the second largest city in Germany with more than 1,8 million inhabitants, only 40 people showed up- all but one truthers already.

But that was it with the negative setting. We filmed the whole presentation and germans alternative news magazine "Schattenblick" made a full report on it. So a lot more people can see or read what Dr. Harrit has to say, while he speaks mostly in english, he has upgraded his presentation slides completely to german writings and in the case of the David Chandler videos even to a german voiceover.

This video was uploaded to youtube a little over a month ago. I stumbled upon it through a hyperlinked comment under a rawstory.com article about geraldo's recent shift in critical thinking skills. I haven't seen it on this site, so I thought I'd post it.

This 13 minute video is part of the Press Conference presentation made by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth in September 2010.

It is a reply to critics who have denied the presence of:

Vast amounts of molten iron found at the sites, formed by thermitic reaction;

Tiny microspheres of iron, indicative of heat sufficient to vaporize iron;

Nanothermite explosive chips in the World Trade Center dust.

On September 11, 2010 I went with the idea of "think globally, act locally" and took my bike (equipped with home-made 9/11 truth signs) to a bicycle and walking tour in Hartford, CT. Thousands of people showed up to the event, and it was a lot of fun by itself but was also a good opportunity for activism. Engineer Wayne Coste was there as well with a booth set up for Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. I had a great time talking to people about 9/11 and introducing them to the idea that the World Trade Center was blown up with explosives.

Some people I talked to had heard rumors and wanted to know more, some people agreed with me and were very supportive, some people seemed utterly shocked by the idea, and a couple people totally disagreed but even they engaged me in civil discourse and seemed to at least consider the idea. After the bike tour, I walked around downtown with my bike handing out the rest of my flyers. At one point, a woman ran off a bus just to ask me for a flyer and then ran back on before the bus left. That was probably the highlight for me. The logistics of carrying a bike and a video camera and handing out flyers with only two hands just wasn't working out. So I put the camera away and enjoyed the bike ride and talked to people without intimidating them by putting them on video. But I still wanted something worth uploading so I put together a montage of WTC demolition clips for people to ponder. I ended with a press conference given by Richard Gage in Washington DC just 3 days prior. I quote him talking about nano-thermite and Building 7 which I consider to be the two keys to proving beyond any doubt the explosive demolition of the WTC.

At a recent appearance at the National Press Club, Dick Cheney blamed Richard Clarke for leaving the nation vulnerable to attack ahead of 9/11 saying, "He obviously missed it." Cheney was referring to the threat from al Qaeda which Clarke had emphatically warned the administration about several times before the fall of 2001.

Jon Stewart was not pleased with Dick Cheney for these accusations, nor the members of the National Press Club who failed to challenge him about the assertion. In a segment called "Dick Uncut," Stewart used dark humor to take both the former Vice President and the media to task for the events leading up to 9/11 through the waterboarding of detainees. It simultaneously makes you laugh and want to punch a whole through the wall.

The destruction by Central Intelligence Agency officials of videotapes showing the interrogation of suspected terrorists is the subject of “an ongoing criminal investigation” that is expected to conclude in the near future, according to a prosecution official.

“Investigators are now in the process of scheduling interviews with the remaining witnesses to be interviewed in this investigation,” wrote John H. Durham, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, in an affidavit (pdf) late last month. “Based on the investigative accomplishments to date, we anticipate that by mid-February 2009, and no later than February 28, 2009, we will have completed the interviews.”

Do you think this is some kind of joke or game? WTF is up with the videos being released with edits at "crucial" moments and sound being removed. The Bob and Bri vid and a couple other releases show this same pattern which leads many to suspect the vids are being fed into the system by nefarious forces.

Does a person actually think that by releasing a video as "anonymous" on a video upload site that they are actually hidden from the forces that carried out 9/11, or are they hiding from the public?

I call on anybody who has any video to stand up and show some God damn balls and release "UNEDITED" videos instead of this chopped up malarkey that has been choice fed to us. If you don't have the guts or the knowhow to upload, then send the damn thing to someone who does...

But for God's sake, for everyone's sake....quit with the games already!

Details Emerge on new WTC Collapse Videos
The Corbett Report talks to source connected to the footage

A source connected to the previously+unreleased+footage of the collapse of WTC1 and WTC7 which suddenly appeared on internet video-sharing site Veoh.com last weekend has revealed details about the footage to The Corbett Report.

According to the source, the videos available on the internet come from a DVD that was compiled from raw footage taken in New York on September 11. The video on the internet has not been edited or manipulated in any way from the footage on the DVD, although the 'replay' of each collapse has been slowed down by 50 percent. The source indicated, however, that the raw footage had been edited before it was put on the DVD, thus explaining the sudden cut from a close-up of the North Tower to a long shot of the entire building with the collapse already underway.
