When we are asked to believe that a boeing 757 penetrated through yards of reinforced concrete walls at the Pentagon we have to strain out imaginations to do so. Look at it this way...the 757 strikes the first wall, and only the fuselage goes through...crosses about 50-60 feet of space and goes through another wall,...then another open space and carries on through another wall..another similar open space , and another wall, another open space, then another wall and another open space, and yet another wall,aoither open space, and finally punches a large clean hole in a final wall. ...Three rings in all, with another building section crossing the fuselage's path.(see link).

Last month, a few Purdue professors, along with some students, presented a short animation ostensibly related to the 9/11 tragedy at the World Trade Center (WTC). Surprisingly the University then announced this animation in a news release, as if it represented a scientifically accurate simulation of the impact of a Boeing 767 into the WTC's north tower.[1] Unfortunately, this short video clip is far from a scientifically-based production, as it actually contradicts several of the government's own, much more intensive studies, and shamefully fails to capture some of the most basic aspects of the related events. To make things worse, Purdue University paradoxically implies that this brief animation provides support for the overworked fire-induced collapse hypothesis. By simultaneously contradicting and voicing support for the official story, Purdue has helped to promote the Bush Administration's fraudulent 9/11 Wars, and instantly earned a notorious place in modern history.

I know I'm going off half-cocked here and that a little information can be a dangerous thing but, I'm broadening the scope of my 911 research, looking at the flights and this jumped right out at me.

I'll put a lot more reading behind me before I post anything more on this but I was immediately struck by something.

Having looked at the pentagon pics along with the recent video of the flight recorder analysis its easy to assume that the pentagon strike was a missile rather than a plane.

Having made that assumption we then have to cater for the known elements:

1. A plane took off from Dulles airport
2. Something was tracked on radar that looked like AA77
3. Something hit the pentagon
4. No plane like AA77 landed anywhere visible

When I took a look at the radar track their are three oddities:

a. Why did the plane go so far out of its way?
b. The detour up to the Maryland border
b. The track being lost some time later

Can anybody direct me to a source for surface tracks of flights AA77 and UA93 superimposed on a reasonably large scale map?

I'd like to pursue an idea and these tracks would make a good starting point.

First up, I'm not an engineer. However, I'd like to stimulate a bit of discussion on a technical aspect because I haven't seen it discussed in this context.

A common comment is that all three towers fell due to controlled demolition. The implication being that the collapses were identical. Of course they weren't. The first two [wtc 1 & 2] were subjected to a much more complex process than the third [wtc7].

I'd like to look at wtc 1 & 2 for two reasons:

1. A lack of supporting explanation could be a source for debunking fun.
2. A good supporting explanation would be yet another obvious smoking gun [apart from squibs, etc].

It appears that the normal way to pull a building is to break it off at the base then cut it rapidly floor by floor from the bottom up. This process is visible in wtc7 and all the comparitive examples.

I believe that the perpetrators used the standard technique on wtc7 a. because it wasn't going to be hit by a plane and b. the original plan was to say that it was dropped due to instability caused by collateral damage [I cite Silverstein's video statement re 'pulling' the building].

As I monitor the flood of information popping up on 911 I frequently find myself wondering about some things that could add more weight to the discussion. These are things that ought to be ascertainable with a bit of legwork. I'm not in a position to do much hard investigation myself so I thought I'd put these thoughts out there in case someone wants to pick them up and put some time into them.

1. It appears that certain tenants of the 2 towers were warned not to come to work on 911. This implies a selection process.

Question: Is there a connection between people who didn't show for work that day?

Example - Registered republican, politicians, Bush acquaintances, Bush contributors, Saudi royal family connected.

The converse is interesting too. Who DID show?

Registered democrat, Bush opposer, muslim, middle eastern national, other foreigner, (Bush-centric) nonentity.

2. Who was in the audience at the Warren Buffett seminar deep in the bomb-proof bunker at the top secret air force base that Bush stopped at on 911? Were any of these guys skipping a days work at the WTC to attend?

I just wanted to make visitors of this site aware that a bunch of well known "debunkers" submitted to the Department of Civil and Envriomental Engineering at Northwestern University a paper on the mechanism of collapse of the WTC Towers for peer review and publication by the Journal of Engineering Mechanics.

I will not attempt the blame game with this premise. I am not a structural engineer or an explosives expert. I do have reasonable doubts about the official story. My research to this point on a personal level has been with a trained explosive expert in the U.S. military and with a construction engineer. I have read reports in support of the NIST and rebuttals to the NIST report. I have also read the NIST report summary as posted online. The reason for this hypothesis is to consider what assisted in the global collapse of the Twin Towers. The existence for this hypothesis is three-fold.

1. The NIST did not attempt to explain the reason for a global collapse nor consider the hypothesis which I proposed. Does that make the existence of explosive devices(ED) invalid? No.

Some of the Computer models have been released according to this person and the ones he acquired are available for download.

He obtained them after a successful Freedom of Information Act request.

This is a repack of the original WTC blueprint images - each file is now descriptively labeled, and those that were scanned upside down have been rotated. The originals also had a strange pixel aspect ratio that would result in a distorted image when opening the file in many programs, and that too has been corrected.

A retro Asbestos/Twin Towers ad from The Consumerist

One of Copyranter's readers found this disturbing old-skool ad for asbestos, featuring the former World Trade Center.

...judging by the look and type, I'd say is circa 1970s-mid80s. Copy reads: "Asbestos contains fire, cannot burn and holds up after metal and glass have melted down, giving vital time for people to escape." Also, note the tagline. [When life depends on it, you use asbestos]. The ad is from a Canadian company, Asbestos Corporation Limited. Surprised they're still operating and haven't been sued into a pile of dust.

It hits me very hard personally: my Father has asbestosis in his lungs from 37 years of pipe-fitter work for a big DuPont chemical plant. The company's plant physicians kept his condition a secret from him for many, many years.

This is a video of the piece telling the story of the World Trade Center destruction through the eyes of the FDNY and first responders.

The April 2007 issue of Esquire contains an article about the WTC dust by Eric Gillin. It begins on page 133. Most of the article is about tests done on a backpack Gillin was wearing on 9/11 and had preserved since. Basically, the tests found that the initial dust cloud contained mostly gypsum and cement, while the more toxic dust was a product of computers and such burning in the pile of debris.

This description on page 141 repeats the myth of the pancake collapse: "When the South Tower came down, the massive concrete floors fell like a giant stack of pancakes, slamming into one another and driving the contents of the building straight down, but the air in the building blew out the sides, like a balloon popping when a fat man sits on it. The wind that the building exhaled was hurricane force, instantly aerating the drywall and the glass and some of the concrete, which coated me a few seconds later."

Since NIST is refusing to release computer visualisations of the collapse of the Twin Towers, why not do our own?

Are there any structural/civil engineers out there, with access to finite element analysis modeling software, who can build simplified models of WTC1, WTC2 and WTC7?

This would constitute a solid project for a civil engineer undergrad/graduate for any academics out there.

Allianz in Mediation with WTC Developer Silverstein

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Allianz said mediators would seek to determine how much it owes the developer of the World Trade Center, while he led a demonstration against Europe's biggest insurer for withholding funds.

"We're going to make you pay!" Larry Silverstein shouted in front of a crowd of about 200 cheering construction workers at a noon rally in midtown Manhattan on Monday.

Silverstein, who leased the downtown site destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001, claims Allianz still owes him $553 million and that a second insurer, Britain's Royal & Sun Alliance, owes him $250 million. He said their reluctance had slowed rebuilding at the site.

"You can count on some insurance companies to look for every way they can think of to avoid paying up," said Silverstein, making common cause with Gulf Coast homeowners who are suing for claims from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
