About Me

i am a teacher living in Japan. i come from St. John's, Newfoundland. i am a semi-pro musician and an avid outdoorsman and athlete - i have completed one triathalon. I enjoy communing with Nature from atop my lovely bicycle. Other serious hobbies are Japanese kanji, Zen buddhism and translations (slow indeed) of some of the writings of the incredible DT Suzuki. 9/11 became a factor in my life through conversation and then 'Spot the Plane' --- 9/11Blogger has since schooled me during the past 3-4 years.
