On the eve of the 2006 summer, Oklahoma City was introduced to the only independent candidate for U.S. Congress from the 5th district. In a speech given before the Northwest Chamber, Matthew Horton Woodson illustrated the issue that he believes is the most critical for the 110th Congress. Citing Eisenhower's farewell speech candidate Woodson stressed the importance of an informed and knowledgeable public. To that end, bringing up 9/11/01, Woodson demonstrated the fact that the third and last tower to collapse before entering the "War on Terror" did so because of controlled demolition. Candidate Woodson held up a video recording of the collapse of 7 World Trade Center for the audience and his fellow candidates. This 47 story building collapsed in 6.5 seconds at 5:20pm on 9/11/01, a collapse that wasn't explained by the 9/11 Commission Report.

"Before February of 2006, I had never even realized a third tower collapsed on September 11, 2001" said Woodson. "It was amazing to me when I first saw the video of 7 World Trade Center collapsing, it looked like control demolition, so I decided to research it."

After 5 months of research, Woodson concluded that all three towers collapsed due to controlled demolition, and therefore must be a domestic crime. His research included a trip to Chicago to interview and obtain an endorsement from physicist Dr. Steven Jones of BYU. Dr. Jones has published a detailed paper proving the World Trade Center Towers collapsed due to controlled demolition. Woodson, decided to run for political office to help restore truth and trust back into our Government. This matter is so important to the very foundation of our Government, Woodson decided the best way to help save it was to participate in it. "At the Candidate forum hosted by the Northwest Chamber, I ensured that all but 2 candidates for U.S. Congress from the 5th district know about the collapse of 7 World Trade Center. It is up to them as to what they do with this information. I believe it's both the press and politicians' job to inform and alert the public; I hope my fellow candidates realize the awesome responsibility Congress holds in sending troops to war.
