The task was simple, deny the evidence, cover-up the embarrassing arrest of two Israelis with an explosives-tainted truck, and give the media a reason to return to the mantra of "all terror is caused by Muslims". But what started as a simply attempt to spin the news away from the Israelis arrested in Washington State has backfired on the Bush administration in a big way. In conducting the classic "limited hangout" of admitting to foreknowledge of the attacks of 9-11 in order to reassert the link to Osama bin Laden, Bush has handed opponents of his administration and opponents of World War the most damning proof yet that the reality of 9-11 is not what the US Government and media have been telling the American people it is.

The arrested Israelis posed a problem. History records in the Lavon Affair that Israelis willingly use bombs and lay false trails to Arabs for political gain. And it wasn't too long ago that JDL Chairman Irv Rubin was arrested for plotting to blow up a US Congressman who refused to toe the Israel party line. Then there were the two Mossad agents arrested inside the Mexican Congress with guns and explosives shortly after 9-11. As the battered World Trade Towers collapsed, the very first suspects arrested, caught cheering as the towers fell, were Israelis, later identified as Mossad agents. The arrested spies worked for Urban Moving Systems, whose Israeli owner promptly fled the nation.
Still other espionage suspects posed as art students trying to get into federal buildings, while others held cover jobs in mall kiosks selling "Zoom Copters", kiosks that sat empty when their entire staffs were thrown into jail on suspicion of espionage. All told, the Israeli spy ring, which had been partly uncovered prior to 9-11, was the largest spy ring ever uncovered in the United States.
In California, the ADL was also convicted of running a massive spy operation on American citizens.

Taken together, there is probable cause to investigate just what connection the Israeli spying operation had with 9-11. Such an investigation should have happened, but instead, something very odd took place in the investigation! According to a government official quoted in Carl Cameron's story on the spy ring, the US Government classified the evidence that links the arrested Israeli spies to 9-11. Rather than treat the arrested spies as Jonathan Pollard had been treated, the US Government hurried to get the arrested Israelis out of the country as quickly as possible, in one case releasing and deporting one Israeli even though he failed his polygraph examination

Lawyers representing Zacarias Moussaoui want to ask potential jurors more than 300 questions -- including their opinions of high-profile FBI investigations and their response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 -- as part of the selection process for his trial.

The defense's proposed jury questionnaire, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, is far more extensive than one proposed earlier this week by prosecutors.

Moussaoui, the only person charged in connection with the Sept. 11 attacks, has already pleaded guilty to six conspiracy charges. A jury must still decide whether he should be executed during the penalty phase of his trial, scheduled to begin in February.

Moussaoui has admitted he is an al-Qaida terrorist, but said he had nothing to do with the Sept. 11 attacks and instead planned to participate in a different attack.

Prosecutors contend that Moussaoui contributed to the Sept. 11 attacks by lying to investigators about his terrorist ties when he was arrested in the weeks before the attacks.

The 306-item defense questionnaire asks jurors their opinion about the performance of the FBI in several criminal investigations, including the standoffs in Waco, Texas, and Ruby Ridge, Idaho; the 1996 Olympic bombing, in which security guard Richard Jewell was wrongly implicated; and the still-unsolved anthrax deaths in 2001. In all those cases, the FBI was criticized for its handling of the investigation.

Defense attorneys have argued that numerous investigations of the Sept. 11 attacks show that the FBI knew more than Moussaoui about the pending attack, but was still unable to prevent it.

Groups representing national security whistleblowers are urging a boycott of an upcoming congressional hearing, saying their concerns and experiences will not be adequately represented by the witnesses who are scheduled to testify.

The House Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations plans to hold a hearing Dec. 6 to examine whether agencies are unjustly revoking or suspending security clearances in retaliation against employees who speak out against wrongdoing.

Advocacy groups such as the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition and Concerned Foreign Service Officers, however, say the hearing should be postponed because the witness list lacks whistleblowers with firsthand knowledge of problems.

Whistleblowers sent at least 17 letters to the subcommittee Monday protesting the upcoming hearing.

"The National Security Whistleblowers Coalition, together with supporting organizations and over 100 national security whistleblowers, respectfully urges you to postpone this hearing," Sibel Edmonds, founder and director of the coalition, wrote in a letter to Rep. Christopher Shays, R-Conn., the subcommittee chairman. "We stand ready to work with your office to do the work necessary to schedule a meaningful event where valuable testimony and information may be provided to Congress."

Fulton College Response to Professor Steven Jones's Statements Regarding Collapse of World Trade Center

Brigham Young University has a policy of academic freedom that supports the pursuit and dissemination of knowledge and ideas. Through the academic process, ideas should be advanced, challenged, and debated by peer-review in credible venues. We believe in the integrity of the academic review process and that, when it is followed properly, peer-review is valuable for evaluating the validity of ideas and conclusions.

The University is aware that Professor Steven Jones's hypotheses and interpretations of evidence regarding the collapse of World Trade Center buildings are being questioned by a number of scholars and practitioners, including many of BYU's own faculty members. Professor Jones's department and college administrators are not convinced that his analyses and hypotheses have been submitted to relevant scientific venues that would ensure rigorous technical peer review. The structural engineering faculty in the Fulton College of Engineering and Technology do not support the hypotheses of Professor Jones.

BYU has issued an official statement in response to Professor Steven Jones's recent paper which is pressing for a real investigation into the collapses of WTC1, WTC2, and WTC7.

While the statement seems to suggest that Jones's paper and research are very much valid in the 'pursuit .. of knowledge and ideas', the last sentence of the paper quite bluntly states that the entire faculty of the Fulton College of Engineering and Technology do not support his hypothesis.

To issue a blanket statement that the entire faculty disagrees with his hypothesis is quite a quick jump from supporting his research, to saying everyone thinks he is wrong. Ironically the statement has absolutely no discussion of the subject matter and science involved at all (unlike Jones's recent paper), but yet quickly dismisses all of his research in one fell swoop.

I can't say that I am surprised at BYU cowering to the negative publicity that comes along with questioning 9/11, but science and research is supposed to be the one section of the educated masses that could care less about 'P.R.' and being 'P.C.' . Facts are facts, and a simple blanket statement simply doesn't matter.

Along with Steven Jones from BYU, Jeff King from MIT, and Jim Hoffman, many educated scholars have made similar statements as to the impossible 'pyroclastic flows', 'free-fall speed collapses', and issues with the 'conservation of momentum'.

When a blanket statement like this from BYU is released it does little to quell a debate, but in fact urges it along. Those that question 9/11, specifically those that question the 'collapse' of WTC7, will continue to challenge the reports issued by the NIST, and the accepted common knowledge that 3 super-structure steel-framed buildings collapsed on 9/11 at the speed of free-fall despite resistance provided by the lower intact super-structure for the first and only time in all of recorded history.

Quite simply, there are numerous flaws with the physics 'analysis' done regarding the 'collapses' on 9/11. We can either ignore these issues and adhere to the 'official story' or have open and public debates about the issues themselves. Or in this case, just issue a blanket statement denouncing a 9,000 word research paper issued by a 20+ year professor with absolutely no counter-argument.

Feel free to contact the engineering department at BYU and encourage them to help Jones in spreading the need for a real investigation and honest public discourse on the subject matter.

Philip Zelikow: The Bush Administration Investigates the Bush Administration - 911truth.org

9/11 Commission Executive Director Philip Zelikow has deep, lasting ties to several members of both the Bush I and Bush II Administrations. Any one of these connections could have been deemed sufficient to eliminate Zelikow from consideration on the basis of non-independence. Consider:

• Zelikow was an aide to Brent Scowcroft, National Security Advisor to George H.W. Bush;
• Zelikow was part of the Bush II transition team and worked closely with Condoleeza Rice, George W. Bush's National Security Advisor. As advisor to Rice, Zelikow would sit in on high-level meetings on the terror threat in early 2001.
• 1999 Zelikow co-authored a book with Rice, entitled "Germany Unified and Europe Transformed: A Study in Statecraft".
• Zelikow was appointed to President Bush's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board in the aftermath of 9/11.

Despite these connections, Zelikow was appointed Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission in November 2003. 1 His intimate relationship with the Bush White House did not end with the publication of the Commission Report. Shortly after departing the Commission he became Counselor of the Department of State, where he would once again work alongside Condoleeza Rice.

There are lesser-known facts about Zelikow's connections to the Bush Administration that are equally disturbing. For instance, in the early 1990s Zelikow directed the Aspen Strategy Group, members of which have staffed key positions in both the Bush and Clinton Administrations. Interestingly, Judith Miller, the former NY Times reporter implicated in the outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame, is another emeritus member of ASG. I. Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, indicted in October 2005 on a total of five counts of obstruction of justice, making false statements and perjury, wrote a cryptic letter to the jail-bound Miller that seemed both to reference Miller's association with the Aspen Group and to attempt to silence her before she testified before the grand jury:

"Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them."

If one wanted to surreptitiously influence the direction of the inquiry, hiring a sympathetic Executive Director would be a good start. As Paul Sperry summarized:

"Though he has no vote, (Zelikow) arguably has more sway than any member, including the chairman. Zelikow picks the areas of investigation, the briefing materials, the topics for hearings, the witnesses, and the lines of questioning for witnesses. . . .In effect, he sets the agenda and runs the investigation."

Wow, this is quite a detailed report on Philip Zelikow, and has some very interesting bits of information. One of the first things we have to inform the public about is that there never was an independent commission, and this article is a great addition to help educate people to this fact.

It's been more than four years since terrorists crashed Flight 93 in rural Pennsylvania as part of the Sept. 11 attacks, killing 40 crew members and passengers. And some movie producers are hoping that audiences are now ready to watch what happened on that plane.

Outside London this month, British writer-director Paul Greengrass began shooting a Flight 93 movie, produced by Universal Pictures and London-based Working Title Films. In Los Angeles, American filmmaker Peter Markle is finishing up his movie, produced by Fox Television Studios for the A&E cable network.

The films are part of a growing trend of new Sept. 11-themed movies. Oliver Stone is shooting an untitled 9/11 film; Mike Binder's "Reign O'er Me" deals with 9/11-related grief; and a movie adaptation of the book "102 Minutes" and a TV miniseries on the 9/11 Commission's findings are planned. Court Turns Down Case of F.B.I. Translator

The Supreme Court declined today to consider the case of a former F.B.I. translator who contends she was fired after accusing the bureau of ineptitude in the handling of intelligence related to terrorism.

The justices refused without comment to take the case of Sibel Edmonds, who was a contract linguist for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for about six months, translating material in Turkish, Persian and Azerbaijani, before she was dismissed on April 2, 2002.

Ms. Edmonds had complained repeatedly that bureau linguists produced slipshod and incomplete translations of important intelligence before and after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. She also accused a Turkish linguist in the bureau's Washington field office of blocking the translation of material involving acquaintances who had come under F.B.I. suspicion. She said, too, that the bureau had allowed diplomatic sensitivities to impede the translation of some intelligence.

Sibel has been called the most gagged American citizen in our country's history. After being hit with the 'state secret privilege', to being removed from her last court case while government officials met with the judge, now she has been flatly turned down from the highest court in the land - the supreme court.

Sibel Emdond's has made numerous statements that show that numerous officials in power today were involved in massive corruption, including corruption somehow tied with 9/11. It is no surprise that the government chooses to keep her quiet.

Here are a couple good quotes from Sibel, a person the government doesn't want you to hear, and a true patriot:

As a result of the attack on 9/11, many thousands lost their loved ones and had their lives changed forever. Yet, this administration knowingly and intentionally let many directly or indirectly involved in that terrorist act go free - untouched and uninvestigated - by simply citing "protection of certain foreign and diplomatic relations for national security."

I will continue this fight, since in taking my citizenship oath I pledged that I would support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Therefore, as an American citizen, I have the right and the obligation to defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against John Ashcroft's assaults.

And lastly, for those of you who think that since I have been gagged and stopped by almost all available official channels, I must be ready to vaporize into thin air, please think again. I am gagged, but I am not dead. Not yet.

When whistleblowers who come forth are kept quiet it is no surprise to see parts of the Supreme Court building falling apart, it seems quite fitting.

The administration's claim that terrorists crashing planes into buildings was not foreseeable is flatly disproven by the following evidence:

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the military air defense agency responsible for protecting the U.S. mainland, had run drills for several years of planes being used as weapons against the World Trade Center and other U.S. high-profile buildings, and "numerous types of civilian and military aircraft were used as mock hijacked aircraft". In other words, drills using REAL AIRCRAFT simulating terrorist attacks crashing jets into buildings, including the World Trade Center, were run.

Indeed, on the morning of September 11, 2001 itself, the government was running a simulation of a plane crashing into a building.

The military had also conducted drills of planes crashing into the Pentagon. For example, see this official military website showing a military drill conducted in 2000, using miniatures.

Moreover, a 1998 report forwarded from the FBI to the Federal Aviation Administration concluded that "a group of unidentified Arabs planned to fly an explosive-laden plane . . . into the World Trade Center"

The CIA Director had also warned Congress shortly before 9/11 "that there could be an attack, an imminent attack, on the United States of this nature. So this is not entirely unexpected" according to a broadcast on National Public Radio

Indeed, it was widely known within the FBI in the weeks before 9/11 that an imminent attack was planned on lower Manhattan.

The sponsorship of terrorism by western governments, targeting their own populations, has been a taboo subject. Although major scandals have received cursory coverage in the media, the subject has been allowed to immediately disappear without discussion or investigation. Therefore the appearance this year of two major studies of this subject is a welcome breakthrough, and provides essential reading for anyone struggling to understand the events of September 11, 2001 and the post September 11 world.

The studies are complementary. NATO's Secret Armies, Operation Gladio and Terrorism in Western Europe by Daniele Ganser concerns terrorism sponsored by American and British intelligence in Western Europe and Turkey between the end of World War II and 1985. The War on Truth, 9/11, Disinformation, and the Anatomy of Terrorism by Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed chronicles the cultivation and sponsorship of militant Islamic terrorism by the intelligence services of the United States, Britain and Russia from 1979 to the present. Both studies are models of scholarship -- meticulously documented and carefully reasoned -- but the world they reveal will boggle the mind of the most wild-eyed conspiracy theorist.

Ahmed points out that the responsible authorities at the Pentagon and the Federal Aviation Administration have produced several profoundly contradictory accounts of their own actions on that day -- each subsequent story seemingly an attempt to remedy the shortcomings of a previous one. And still no remotely satisfactory account of the failure to intercept even one of the four hijacked airliners has been produced. Under ordinary circumstances, interception of wayward aircraft by military fighters would have been absolutely routine; such interceptions occurred at least 56 times in the calendar year prior to September 11, 2001. Ahmed points out that the attacks were allowed to proceed "entirely unhindered for over one and one half hours in the most restricted airspace in the world." He finds the idea that this was due to negligence beyond belief. Instead he argues that there must have been a deliberate stand-down of the air defence system managed by senior national security officials including the vice president and the secretary of defense.

Sometimes people come to help me, as listeners, or just to engage in discussions with people attracted to the table. Sometimes, I launch rallies or marches from my spot in Lytton Plaza. I do recruit volunteers who have helped me immeasurably to table at anti-war rallies, organize other events. Just to create a weekly time and place for serious discussion on the political issues that we find most important, I believe is my own idea of "public service."

It is very noticeable how consciousness has risen over the past four years and I do feel my work is very much appreciated by the public, in general. At the last big anti-war rally, there were so many volunteers, that I was able to take a microphone and banner and actually participate in the whole march, while six or seven people minded the table. Now, the donations go into the Northern California 9-11 Truth Alliance account, the group meets twice a month and democratically votes on where to put our time, energy and resources; there is a 9-11 Truth community and I am glad to be a part of it.

The most unbelievable of all the possible conspiracy theories about 9/11 is the official one about Osama bin Laden and 19 fanatic Muslim hijackers taking the government of the United States completely by surprise and getting 'lucky'."

Robert M Bowman doesn't mince his words. The retired American, like millions of people across the globe, refuses to believe what his government has told him about the terrorist attacks of 9/11. But unlike millions of others, Bowman is a retired US Airforce lieutenant colonel and a former director of the 'Star Wars' missile defence system that was designed to 'safeguard' his country during the Cold War.

Bowman is not the only one doubting the official version of what happened on September 11, 2001. Senior academics, politicians and writers - in the US and the UK - are taking the debate, up until now conducted mainly on the internet, into the open. Several books on the topic have been recently published and there are more in the pipeline.

The Bush administration says they were taken completely by surprise on the day of the attacks. They claim 19 Al Qaeda terrorists, working independently of any governmental intelligence service, hijacked four passenger jets, flying two of them into the World Trade Centre and one into the Pentagon. They say the fourth plane was forced down over Pennsylvania, on its way to Washington, after its passengers stormed the cockpit. However, this story is beginning to crack under the weight of the unanswered questions surrounding it.

The main figures in the debate say this narrative - as corroborated by the official 9/11 commission in July 2004 - is "impossible". Several high profile whistleblowers and hundreds of reports gleaned from 'mainstream' media sources support them.

On February 20th 2006, 9/11 Truth activists will convene at "Ground Zero" former site of the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan New York City to march against the U.S. Government's mass murder of 2,749 Americans on September 11th 2001.

A newly discovered Presidential Daily Briefing given to President Bush on September 21st adds further detail to our previous article on the subject.

Here is a summary of the newly discovered PDB from September 21st:

Ten days after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, President Bush was told in a highly classified briefing that the U.S. intelligence community had no evidence linking the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein to the attacks and that there was scant credible evidence that Iraq had any significant collaborative ties with Al Qaeda, according to government records and current and former officials with firsthand knowledge of the matter.

Given this new revelation a condensed timeline looks like so:

• September 11th, 2001 - 9/11 Attacks
• September 21st, 2001 - PDB Stating that Iraq had no ties to 9/11
• October, 2001 - State Department Iraq transition planning begins

It should be painfully clear to anyone now that the Bush administration was set on attacking Iraq immediately after 9/11, even if it could not be justified. By using the media as a soapbox for spreading fear it associated 9/11 and Iraq through cognitive association.

It is amazing to me the utter refusal of the left, the right, and the media in general to acknowledge the existence of PNAC, who its members are, and the following statements which layout the desires of the 'cabal' that is ruining our country:

From an American perspective, the value of such bases would endure even should Saddam pass from the scene. Over the long term, Iran may well prove as large a threat to U.S. interests in the Gulf as Iraq has. And even should U.S.-Iranian relations improve, retaining forward-based forces in the region would still be an essential element in U.S. security strategy given the longstanding American interests in the region.

Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor.

It is imperative that those of us who are able to see the larger picture, and understand that 9/11 was the 'catalyzing event' that propelled the war in Iraq, bring PNAC to the forefront, and with it the truth about 9/11.

If PNAC's stated goals are not brought to the forefront we will continue to miss the larger stated goals of this administration. The left will be appeased through limited troop withdrawals, and this administration will continue to stay in power.

Proving that not only were we lied to about Iraq 'intelligence', but that it was part of a larger stated plan by this administration is imperative.

The Bush administration was not surprised on 9/11, not caught off guard or scrambling, but responded immediately with the intent to go into Iraq, not Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, but Iraq. They were not surprised on 9/11, because it was a necessary part of their larger stated plans.

As long as 9/11 stays a 'taboo' subject, and as long as PNAC's role in American policy is ignored, the American public will continue to be left in the dark as to the bigger picture, a dark and corrupt picture which began with the death of 2,986 Americans.

GW: You've previously stated that on the weekend of September 8 and 9, 2001, there was a "power down" condition in world trade center Tower 2, the South Tower, and that this power down condition meant there was no electrical supply for approximately 36 hours from floor 50 up. Do you know what time the power-down started?

SF: All systems were shutdown on Saturday morning and the power down condition was in effect from approximately 12 noon on Saturday September 8, 2001.

GW: When did it end?

SF: Approximately 2PM on Sunday 9/9.

GW: How do you know that there was no electricity from floor 50 up, if Fiduciary Trust was on much higher floors -- starting at the 90th floor?

SF: I can't absolutely verify that there was no power on lower floors ... all I can validate is that we were informed of the power down condition, that we had to take down all systems and then the following day had to bring back up all systems ...

The ad, which ends with a voice saying: "Reopen the investigation and address the unanswered questions of 9/11", has been airing in New York for over the past few month.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology report produced 10,000 pages of evidence on how and why the buildings collapsed.

"NIST found no corroborating evidence for alternative hypotheses suggesting that the WTC towers were brought down by controlled demolition using explosives planted prior to September 11, 2001," it stated, adding that there is no evidence that missiles were fired at the towers either.

Late October NIST quietly released a final report about the two WTC towers. A report on the WTC 7 collapse has been postponed indefinitely. Not even a draft report has been released yet but NIST promises a "separate report" later. It is now 2005, going on 2006. Casual mention of the report release did not make it in most Mainstream Media. Do you find this strange for one of the largest public safety events in history where close to 3000 people perished? Do you feel safe being in a hi-rise building?

Let us look at this. NIST never quantifies how much each of these 3 variables contributed to its "global collapse" theory. It is left up the reader to guess. Say what? What good is a $16 Million 300 page report if it does not provide basic information about the collapse? The report states as its first objective "Determine why and how WTC 1 and WTC 2 collapsed following the inital impacts of the aircraft and why and how WTC 7 collapsed." After 3 years of study, NIST is unable to succinctly quantify its findings? The best it can do is say "a little of this and a little of that and POOF!", the buildings came down like magic? I find that hard to believe.

But we can figure this out for ourselves, thanks to the hard work of independant researchers. Recently, independant researchers have analyzed NIST data and found that a 767 impact only damaged on average about 7% of each floor, 94-98, in the North Tower. This means that the tower could have handled multiple plane crashes before failing. The redundancy in the building design was excellent. We only know this today, but for the past 3 years the Mainstream Media and government pushed disinformation and we believed something else.

Independant researchers have also analyzed NIST data and found that it was impossible for fire to cause significant weakening of the structure in the North Tower. At the time of collapse, only 24% of the floors 94-98 were on fire. The first floor to collapse, floor 97, only had 13% of its area on fire. No widespread fires existed. Fires only lasted about 30-45 minutes and then burned out. The steel frame was acting as a giant heatsink. Fire was unable to heat columns to high temperatures. We only know this today, but for the past 3 years the Mainstream Media and government pushed disinformation and we believed something else.

Add 7% damage from the 767 and 13% weakening by fire. It has been calculated that 75% of the columns had to fail to make floor 97 collapse. How does less than 20% castatrophic damage to a floor cause near instantaneous and symmetrical collapse? It does not. You do not need a wall of degrees to be an expert in common sense.

And yet Bush, Cheney and other top administration officials claimed and continue to claim that Saddam was behind 9/11. See this analysis. Indeed, Bush administration officials apparently swore in a lawsuit that Saddam was behind 9/11.

The 9-11 lies are just as important a grounds for impeachment as lies regarding Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Why? Because the administration's false claims about Saddam and 9/11 helped convince a large portion of the American public to invade Iraq. While the focus now may be on false WMD claims, it is important to remember that, at the time, the Saddam-911 link was at least as important in many people's minds as a reason to invade Iraq.

Moreover, the trauma of September 11, 2001 is what galvanized many Americans to rally around the Bush administration in general, to close ranks in time of peril, and to give Bush his "mandate" (putting questions of election fraud to the side). Ever since that terrible day, the American people have been terrified, and thus irrational, based upon the trauma of the vicious attacks. Since most Americans believe that the bad guys are "out there" and are about to get us unless we have a strong leader to fight them, they will not and CANNOT make any logical decisions about any other foreign or domestic issues until "we get the bad guys".

Indeed, the WMD hoax probably would not have worked if it wasn't for the anti-Arab hysteria after September 11th.

BYU Physics professor Steven Jones has stated that the government agency tasked with examining the collapse of the World Trade Centers did NOT investigate any anomalies in the collapse of the buildings, failing to even examine any evidence regarding the buildings’ impossible near free-fall speeds and symmetrical collapses, apparent demolition squibs, the fact that the buildings turned to dust in mid-air, the presence of molten metal in the basement areas in large pools in all of the buildings, or the unexplained straightening out of the upper 34 floors of the South Tower after they had precipitously leaned over and started toppling like a tree.

I just ran across an article from a respected civil engineering trade journal which backs up Professor Jones' claim that the government did not really examine the conditions immediately prior to collapse or the collapses themselves. Specifically, the article from the journal of the 180-year old UK Institution of Civil Engineers states:

"World Trade Center disaster investigators are refusing to show computer visualizations of the collapse of the Twin Towers despite calls from leading structural and fire engineers".

In other words, the U.S. structural engineer is saying that even the non-visual computer models which NIST used to examine why the trade centers collapsed are faulty.

I had not seen this video before, despite it being hosted on reopen911.org. I was very impressed not only with Jimmy's ability to run through the subject matter in a short period of time, but the fact that the entire panel of the show was instantly interested in the material presented.

Are You Sure Laughing at Conspiracy Theories Makes You Smart?

There are always really wacky or just plain factually challenged theories , and they never help either (which raises potential questions about the origins of those ideas). The only thing that matters, though, to the Conspiracy-mockers is the question: Does the Conspiracy Theory reflect badly on their beloved America (the concept, not the place or the people)? And this is crucial. If so, it is rejected out of hand as mere “anti-Americanism.” If the Conspiracy Theory, on the other hand, reflects well on their beloved America (the concept, not the place or the people), it gets the reverse treatment: blind and complete acceptance.

Case in point is the competing theories about 9-11. The Official Conspiracy Theory starring Osama Bin Laden and 19 mysterious hijackers is simply unquestionable no matter how many questions and contradictions remain, no matter how “junk science” it is. Conversely, any theory, and there are many, of various quality, that questions the Official Conspiracy Theory starring Osama Bin Laden and 19 mysterious hijackers is immediately and completely laughable, by default – and this is considered obvious, not challengeable, putting the entire matter in the realm of faith, not reason.

The more sophisticated of the Conspiracy Theory mockers who fancy themselves debunkers deploy the logical principle known as Occam’s Razor, or often merely appear to. Occam’s Razor is a logical principle “attributed to the mediaeval philosopher William of Occam (or Ockham)” which “states that one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.” Of course, it happens that Occam’s Razor is often thrown around carelessly and thoughtlessly...

The best recent example I can think of that deploys the logical principle of Occam’s Razor in such a way as to discredit conventional theories in favor of a “conspiracy theory” is BYU physics Professor Steven E. Jones’ paper ‘Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Collapse’. In this paper, which I invite everyone to read, Jones makes a plain, clear and convincing case that, from a physical point of view, the controlled-demolition-caused collapse theory easily trounces the conventional fire/damage-caused collapse theory. That is, the former accounts for the facts far better than the latter while making fewer assumptions, in keeping with Occam’s logical principle. But do you think this will cause the thoughtless Bin Laden-haters, Bush-lovers and people who think they’re smart ‘cos they read Christopher Hitchens (or at least his headlines) to even think twice? It should, but in too many cases I think it won’t. The funny thing is, Jones’ paper will likely be cited, without even being read or seriously considered, as an example of crazy conspiracy theories.

Not all conspiracy theories fare well in a confrontation with Occam’s Razor. And we shouldn’t latch onto them if they don’t. But don’t take anyone’s word for it. Scrutinize the scrutiny. Evaluate the case made by those who laugh at conspiracy theories, and look at what they promote in their place. And we shouldn’t adopt a belief because it does not contradict what we already know or wish to believe, either. But the relevant lesson for those knee-jerk Conspiracy Theory-mockers is that their own beliefs and counter-theories often do not fare well under such scrutiny either and that some of the theories they choose to mock, because its politically-correct and socially-acceptable to do so, fare much better under serious scrutiny than they could bear to realize.

9-11 Probers Leave Questions Behind - Power Plays Blog

The private watchdog group formed by the former members of the 9-11 Commission is closing up shop. The announcement of its last media event—a December 5 briefing where the 9-11 Discourse Project "will issue its final assessment of progress on all 9/11 Commission recommendations"—came today. This is no surprise: The project (funded by entities like the Carnegie Corporation, the Drexel Family Foundation, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund) was intended to last for just a year after the commission expired in August 2004, its mission to "educate the public on the issue of terrorism and what can be done to make the country safer." But even if this end was long planned, it doesn't mean everyone thinks the job is finished.

"There has never been any explanation regarding the timelines between the FAA and NORAD about who notified whom and when," says Colleen Kelly, who lost her brother at the WTC (Kelly was speaking for herself but serves as the New York coordinator for Peaceful Tomorrows). Look what happens when you read the academic paper questioning the official version of the collapse of the three World Trade Center buildings that Brigham Young University physics professor Steven E. Jones recently posted at physics.byu.edu/research/energy/htm7.html.

Jones is an honest-to-goodness scientist whose specialties are metal-catalyzed fusion, solar energy and something called archaeometry. The 9,000-word abstract, part of a 2006 book called "The Hidden History of 9/11/2001," asks, "Why Indeed did the WTC Buildings Collapse?"

He supplies links to slow-motion video of collapsing buildings, discuses their well-engineered innards at length and doggedly critiques the official explanation. Bush's War Of Terror, WTC Buildings

There has never been a steel frame building that has ever collapsed as a result of fire.[14] There have been numerous steel buildings that have had severe fires that burned for several hours but the buildings never collapsed. The towers were built to withstand 160 mile winds and the crash of a 707, a plane not much smaller than a 767. They were also heavily imbued with asbestos, a fire retardant. The South Tower collapsed at 9:59 AM after being hit at 9:03 AM (56 minutes). The North Tower collapsed at 10:28 AM after being hit at 8:46 AM (1 hour, 42 minutes).

We are told that the towers were severely weakened by the crashes. Yet, from photos and video both towers appeared stable and motionless after the impacts. In fact, the damage appeared to be minor rather than severe.

Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds tells of dispute

Edmonds began working for the FBI shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, translating top-secret suspected terrorist documents, but was fired in the spring of 2002 after reporting her concerns about alleged sabotage, intimidation, corruption and incompetence.

In October 2002, Edmonds appeared on "60 Minutes" on CBS television and charged that Turks suspected of ties to terrorism had infiltrated the FBI, State Department and Department of Defense. On Oct. 18, 2002, following a request from FBI Director Robert Mueller, Attorney General John Ashcroft imposed a gag order on Edmonds, citing possible damage to diplomatic relations or national security.

It is so amazing how much is being said lately about 9/11 each and every week. What is even more amazing is how the mainstream media continues to ignore the 9/11 elephant in the room. When I first started this blog I was worried that covering only new 9/11 related news would be to narrow a scope to be consistent, guess I was wrong.

Tucker Carlson, PNAC & 9/11 - Another PNAC 9/11 Connection

Here is a bit more about Tucker Carlson's interview with the physics professor who put forth a paper claiming explosives were used to destroy the WTC on 9/11... just prior to the professor's appearance on Carlson's program, Tucker's guest was someone from the Weekly Standard (this guy was a regular guest).

The Weekly Standard's chief editor is William Kristol, who also happens to be the chairman of the Project for a New American Century, PNAC! This is the quaint little organization that produced people like Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Pearl & at least six other people who were members of the Bush administration on the morning of 9/11. They are also the organization that wrote about the how America having a "new Pearl Harbor" would help them achieve their goal.

Tucker finds nothing disturbing or newsworthy about the PNAC connection to 9/11. As a matter of fact by virtue of the company he keeps, he supports PNAC. Tucker tells anyone who thinks that people within our government would be involved in something like 9/11 that they should leave the country but he cozies up to people who thought a new Pearl Harbor would be a good idea! So this is a little more PNAC related 9/11 news for your records.

The Weekly Standard Attacks 9/11 Truth
Compare this to the article right above this. Kinda funny how The Weekly Standard comes out on the offensive against 9/11 skeptics the same week as Tucker isn't it? After all, the head editor of The Weekly Standard is Bill Kristol, current Chairman and founder of the PNAC.

There is, though, a need to remember what transpired before the war - in fact, soon after the towers fell. And what happened was this declaration, from the mouth of Rep. Cynthia McKinney while the ashes were still smoldering: "We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11. What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11?"

Farfetched as the claim may have seemed - the utterance of a leftist conspiracy wacko - the Georgia congresswoman was the first but would not be the last to accuse President Bush of having purposefully ignored intelligence that predicted the imminent use of hijacked planes as missiles.
Echoed Senator Hillary Clinton soon thereafter - from the Senate floor, no less: "What did Bush know and when did he know it."

What you may not remember was that the source of all this hysteria was a single Presidential Daily Briefing, given to the president on August 6, 2001. The report said nothing about hijacked planes being flown into buildings and indeed admitted that "some of the more sensational threat reporting" could not be corroborated. It did, however, refer to bin Laden's stated goals of bringing the fighting to America - claims made by bin Laden himself on national television three years before - as well as the luckily foiled millennium bomber of 1999 and the African embassy bombings a year earlier.

An Incomplete Investigation - 911truth.org

It was interesting to hear from the 9/11 Commission again on Tuesday. This self-perpetuating and privately funded group of lobbyists and lawyers has recently opined on hurricanes, nuclear weapons, the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel and even the New York subway system. Now it offers yet another "report card" on the progress of the FBI and CIA in the war against terrorism, along with its "back-seat" take and some further unsolicited narrative about how things ought to be on the "front lines."

Yet this is also a good time for the country to make some assessments of the 9/11 Commission itself. Recent revelations from the military intelligence operation code-named "Able Danger" have cast light on a missed opportunity that could have potentially prevented 9/11. Specifically, Able Danger concluded in February 2000 that military experts had identified Mohamed Atta by name (and maybe photograph) as an al Qaeda agent operating in the U.S. Subsequently, military officers assigned to Able Danger were prevented from sharing this critical information with FBI agents, even though appointments had been made to do so. Why?

There are other questions that need answers. Was Able Danger intelligence provided to the 9/11 Commission prior to the finalization of its report, and, if so, why was it not explored? In sum, what did the 9/11 commissioners and their staff know about Able Danger and when did they know it?

Believe 9-11 Was an Inside Job? Leave the Country! - Another Day in the Empire

Swanson frozen food heir, Tucker Carlson, host of MSNBC's The Situation with Tucker Carlson, believes you should get out of America if you believe nine eleven was an inside job.

Of course, the government or factions therein did not kill 3,000 Americans (and foreigners) "for no reason," as Carlson ignorantly claims - it killed them for very specific reasons, namely as collateral damage in the first battle of World War Four, the Clash of Civilizations (call it the "new Pearl Harbor"). Indeed, it is "evil" and all Americans are "complicit in it" as citizens and taxpayers. If Carlson sincerely believes his government wouldn't do such a thing, he should read up on Operation Northwoods, subtitled "Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Justification for US Military Intervention in Cuba, March 13, 1962," currently archived at the National Security Archive. "Written in response to a request from the Chief of the Cuba Project, Col. Edward Lansdale, the Top Secret memorandum describes U.S. plans to covertly engineer various pretexts [terrorist attacks] that would justify a U.S. invasion of Cuba," the NSA summarizes.

What is the Commission's mandate?

The Commission's mandate is to provide a "full and complete accounting" of the attacks of September 11, 2001 and recommendations as to how to prevent such attacks in the future.

So... if the 9/11 Commission's mandate was to get a "full and complete accounting" of the attacks of September 11th, 2001, then why were certain things omitted? If certain things were omitted, does that not make the 9/11 Commission's findings null and void?

Here is an excerpt from a show called the "Washington Journal". On this particular show, Lee Hamilton, the co-chair for the 9/11 Commission was on the program discussing the "9/11 Public Discourse Project". This is a supposed "watchdog" group that makes sure the Government is doing everything they can to prevent the next terrorist attack, and to make sure the recommendations put forth by the Commission are implemented.

As you can see, when Mr. Hamilton was confronted about Building 7, he stated that, "some things were left out of the report."

By his own admission, the 9/11 Commission did not give a "full and complete accounting" of the attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Therefore, the findings of the 9/11 Commission are NULL & VOID.

Madonna Can't Prove Government Was in on 9/11 'Deal'

"9/11 was too ambiguous," she tells the magazine.

"You couldn't prove how the government was somehow in on the deal. There were too many arguments against it. You could say, 'Oh, that's just Michael Moore,' 'Oh, that's just hearsay.'

So - is Madonna saying that the government was in on 9/11 and if someone with more credibility than Michael Moore tackled the issue, we'd all now see how the US government was in on 'the deal?'

Is this a serious statement? Somehow out of context?

Crooked Cops and 9-11

Well, a passport from one of the alleged hijackers was "found" a couple of blocks from the Twin Towers. And yet the government claims that the areas inside the Twin Towers where planes crashed were infernos so hot that they caused the collapse of the massive steel cores in the center of the towers. Indeed, the passport-owner's hijacked plane was allegedly almost completely lodged in the building's core. How could the passport have survived and ended up a couple of blocks away?

It is thus clear that evidence was planted to frame the hijackers on 9/11. Even a simple tv detective would ask who had the opportunity and motive to frame these patsies. He would also ask whether the persons who planted the evidence were the real culprits.

Thermite and the WTC Collapses

"The temperature at the core of "the pile," is near 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, according to fire officials, who add that the fires are too deep for firefighters to get to. " [ABC News, 9/18/01]

In perfect conditions the maximum temperature that can be reached by hydrocarbons such as jet fuel burning in air is 1520° F (825° C). When the WTC buildings collapsed the deeply buried fires would have been deprived of oxygen and their temperatures would have significantly decreased.

Why was the temperature at the core of "the pile" nearly 500° F hotter than the maximum burning temperature of jet fuel a full five days after the collapses? There were no infernos in either of the twin towers before they collapsed, so what caused their hot spots?

What caused the steel to melt? How did it stay molten for weeks after the collapses? How did fires in the WTC wreckage manage to burn for more than 3 months?

I believe there should at least be some mention in the main stream media that there are valid questions about the Tower collapses being raised by many people. What Tucker Carlson did was to totally disrespect anyone who does not blindly follow the same government which led us into Iraq with false information. Sounds like an old Iraq government trait to me. The BYU professor, who thinks explosions most likely brought down the twin towers, is now limiting his media appearances to only 'peer reviews.' Read his last words to the media here in the Arctic Beacon.

The BYU physics professor who thinks explosions brought down the WTC said Wednesday he's "bowing out of the limelight" and limiting his media appearances to only academic peer reviews.

Conservative Professor Steven E. Jones has been barraged by media appearances since releasing a 19 page paper last week, saying "pre-positioned explosives" most likely brought down the twin WTC towers as well as WTC No. 7.

"I thoroughly enjoyed your interviews (with the Arctic Beacon) and you were very fair," added Jones. "I wouldn't say as much for Tucker Carlson and my appearance on MSNBC, who was short with me and refused to play the video that graphically showed Building 7 come down in a freefall, as I described in the paper I just released.

"I did receive emails about why I did that (criticized the pod theory) and even told Morgan Reynolds, I really felt it was important to stick with the issues of 9/11 that are the most obvious and the easiest to prove. It has been a long couple of nights for me and others waiting up 'til the crack of dawn to report on Tucker's latest statements. So tonight I'm going to catch up on some things, and leave the reporting up to you guys.

Tonight Tucker Carlson played one voicemail from a caller who thought he was wrong in his slander of Jones, and another from a FDNY firefighter who thought he was right, and that Steven Jones was a 'quack'. Tucker then said that 'he knew' that Steven Jones was 'a quack', and that 'it is because of people like you that I had qualms about that story in the first place, people who lived through that day' (referring to the FDNY caller).

Rather than continue to cover the ignorant views spewed from Carlson, tonight I'll just focus on responding to his actions and comments as related to 9/11 skeptics and Steven Jones.

Why not show the WTC7 footage?
When Steven Jones first appeared on 'The Situation' earlier this week his main intention was to explain his recent paper and to show the American people an alternative view of the collapses of 3 steel superstructures on 9/11, focusing specifically on WTC7.

Despite Carlson covering this story for 3 nights now, he has continued to refuse to show the footage of WTC7 sent in by Steven Jones. Perhaps this was a simple mistake, but the continued attacks and slander against Jones is completely unacceptable without at least showing the footage Jones had intended to show.

Since Carlson won't show the WTC7 footage, we will. Below is a clip from a recent documentary entitled '9/11 Eyewitness' (911eyewitness.com). This short clip is a quick and easy illustration showing why the speed of the collapse of WTC7 is worthy of scrutiny.



Why only respect those affected that agree with the official story?
Carlson stated that he had hesitated in covering Steven Jones in the first place in fear that he might disrespect those that died on 9/11. This statement goes along with his previous statement:

Ponder that for a second: The U.S. government killed more than 3,000 of its own citizens. For no obvious reason.

These two statements are similar in that he makes huge leaps in his assumptions. He assumes that those affected directly by 9/11 agree with the official story, and he assumes that alternative theories to 9/11 are unfounded because no motives exist.

To suggest that all of those directly affected by 9/11 agree with the 'official story' as presented by the 9/11 Commission Report is just plain ignorant. Numbers of people have come out in disagreement with the 'official story' who were directly affected by 9/11. A few quick examples include the 'Jersey Girls' who in July of this year called the 9/11 Commission Report a 'hollow failure', and William Rodriguez (20 year WTC worker) who testified to the commission that massive explosions occurred in the basements of the WTC towers. Other examples include Donna Marsh whose daughter was killed on 9/11, and countless scores of others who not only fought tooth-and-nail for a commission to be founded, but whom still today believe our government is covering up important details surrounding that fateful day.

The assumption that no motives exist as to why our government would allow, facilitate, or be solely responsible for 9/11 is another ignorant assumption as well. The major players of this administration had a virtual wishlist come to fruition, all of which would have been impossible without 9/11. From PNAC's desire to massively increase military spending and to secure permanent military bases in Iraq, to the removal of the Taliban who had halted Unocal's trans-afghan pipeline, to the increase of government powers, and the steady infringement of our personal rights, 9/11 has served as the ultimate trump-card to pass anything and everything desired by this administration. To suggest that no motives exist is to be ignorant of how 9/11 has altered our country, and our fellow citizens' mindsets to agree with things that our country previously would never have allowed.

Note to Carlson: Perhaps you can read over these possible motives of the Bush administration by Dr. David Ray Griffin. Maybe next week you could have another 20+ year professor on your show who questions 9/11 that you could bash?

Explosions did occur prior to the 'collapses' of WTC1 and WTC2



The video linked above is a sample from '9/11 Eyewitness', just one of a dozen different 9/11 documentaries that show massive explosions occurring before each towers collapse. What those explosions were, how they were planted, or what the motives were is of little consequence to the overwhelming fact that WTC1, WTC2, and WTC7 were not brought down at freefall speeds by fires. You want to see a real skyscraper inferno? Check out the recent Madrid fire.

Whether you quote comments by William Rodriguez, or you reference this compilation or this compilation of FDNY firefighters and others commenting on the explosions, to suggest that none occurred is just an opinion, and a faulty one at that.

Conclusion
Had Tucker Carlson had any real intentions of covering the report from Steven Jones fairly he could have went about it a completely different way. First, he could have played the footage sent to him by Jones at some point in the last three nights. Second, he could have avoided slandering Jones by going over the points of his report instead of just calling him a 'quack' and resorting to attacks based on ignorance and emotion. And third, he could have pointed out that not only Jones, but large percentages of Americans question our government's involvement in 9/11.

Those that want to have a full understanding of 9/11 will do more than rely on a talking head like Carlson and will read any number of books on 9/11, watch any of dozens of videos on 9/11, and read years of 9/11 questioning archives available on the internet. To try to summarize 9/11 in a 8 minutes of prime time coverage is impossible, but to slander and attack the very idea of asking questions about 9/11 in that time is quite easy. While I hope that at some point our media will spend sufficient time covering the wide variety of questions surrounding 9/11, I am certain that it won't be done in 8 minutes of coverage, and that it won't be done by someone so ignorant of the issues surrounding 9/11 as Tucker Carlson.

Seems to me that someone should send The Coincidence Theorist's Guide to 9/11 to Tucker.

Tucker's Challenge
This in reference to last night's show and his followup article today.

Tucker Carlson is either as silly as his bow tie would indicate, or he's looking for a way to expose the truth behind 9/11. Today he posted "9/11 Theorist Clearly Hits A Nerve," regarding public response to his Monday night show with BYU Professor, Steven Jones.

Carlson first insinuates Jones is "insane," then accuses him of being unable to articulate his hypothesis, calling him "an epically bad guest." Apparently, Jones was expected to clearly articulate the hypothesis presented in a 26-page scientific paper in six minutes, minus Carlson's repeated interruptions promoting the official line. (Let's also not forget that 'The Situation' refused to show footage of the WTC7 collapse, which would have essentially made the case despite Carlson's best attempts to prevent Jones from doing so.)

"We've never had an e-mail response like the one we got," Carlson says, "...the overwhelming majority wrote to thank me for my 'courage' in putting him on, and to complain that we didn't give him more time to explain the conspiracy. In other words, a lot of people seem to think it's possible that the U.S. government had a hand in bringing down the World Trade Center buildings."

No kidding?

Carlson then tones down his rant from what he originally said on the show last night, (video here) when he moves into his attack on 9/11 skeptics. "If you really...even considered it a possibility - how could you continue to live here? You couldn't. You'd leave the United States on the next available flight and not come back. You'd have no choice."

I guess he missed Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel's comments yesterday: "To question your government is not unpatriotic – to not question your government is unpatriotic. America owes its men and women in uniform a policy worthy of their sacrifices." Or perhaps he slept through the history class lessons about true patriots who have fought for their country by exposing and demanding accountability for traitorous acts.

The significance of this little column, in addition to recognizing on mainstream television that there are a LOT of Americans who "connect" with Jones in demanding 9/11 truth, however, is saved for the last paragraph:

"So if evidence ever does arise that the government lied substantially about what happened on September 11th, we'll be on it immediately. I promise."

Now there is a challenge we can accept! I know, firsthand, the level of true patriotism and commitment among the 9/11 truth community, and I'm willing to make a promise, too: Mr. Carlson is about to receive more evidence than he ever even imagined might exist. Help me hold him to that promise...

Oh, no, I would never suggest you subject yourself to the pain of enduring mainstream "news" programming on a regular basis by watching 'The Situation.' But I can assure you, and Tucker, that it will be monitored, and we'll let you know whether he keeps his promise!

In the meantime, as he requests at the end of his column, "Keep those e-mails coming to Tucker@msnbc.com."

Also, Jon Gold has pointed out that you may reach the secretary of 'The Situation' by calling 201-583-5000 and asking for 'The Situation'.

Tonight on Tucker Carlson's 'The Situation', Tucker responded to calls he received stating that Steven Jones was not given enough time on last night's show by stating:

[referring to the caller]your one of dozens, scores, maybe hundreds of people who called and wrote after our segment last night..
..
[referring to Steven Jones]he claims in his writings.. he believes the U.S. government had a role in blowing up the world trade center, that it was not done by terrorists..
..
if you really believe the U.S. government killed 3000 of its own citizens for no reason and lied about it and invaded Afghanistan as a result of something it did, you ought to leave the country.. because that's so terrible.. so evil, that your tax dollars go in to support it make you complicit in it. if you really believe that, you ought to leave..

but we're gunna keep an open mind..

Tucker exemplifies the reasons why it is necessary to leave it up to scientists and researchers, and not government cronies and talking heads, to investigate the truth behind 9/11, because otherwise one might be blinded by their own assumptions and emotions. Tucker not only acted as though his moral compass is above those that question 9/11 (specifically a 20+ year Professor at BYU), but he also committed slander in his comments about Steven Jones' research.

While the report written by Steven Jones mentions the U.S. government several times in reference to their failures of investigation, at no point in his paper does he suggest the government was involved in carrying out the attacks, although I'm sure many others would, and have.

In response to Carlson's statements I have a few questions:

• Should American's who believe the war in Iraq was based on intentional lies also leave the country?
• Does an administration that has killed thousands, and maimed tens of thousands all based on fraud, corruption, and lies still deserve ignorant blind faith regarding 9/11?
• Do the Jersey Girls (who said the 9/11 Commission Report was a 'hollow failure') need to leave the country?
• What about the 50% of New Yorkers who believe the government had prior knowledge and 'consciously failed to act?'
• Should the German's who questioned the Reichstag Fire have left their country?
• Should these ~9,000 people asking for a criminal investigation pack their bags as well?

While Tucker's comments are reminiscent of similar statements made about those that questioned the Iraq war (those that question the war should either keep quiet or leave the country!), I am hopeful that most American's have come to terms with their lame duck media, and know that if they want the truth they have to find it themselves.

9/11 and Internet credibility - By Mary Maxwell, Ph.D.

How long must we wait to judge the validity of the September 11th conspiracy theories that have floated around on the Internet for years? I believe there is a way to grant status and authority to the many excellent reports and analyses whose only sin is that they appear in electronic form instead of newsprint. Moreover, we should start this process right away. After all, if our government is behaving maliciously, we need to know it, communicate it to others, and act on it with urgency. This will require that we make judgments about September 11th now and not wait for 'perfect proof.'

The inside-job theory concerning September 11th - which accuses the government of collusion with the 'hijackers' is already backed up by hundreds of trutho pages on the Internet. Almost any reasonable person would be persuaded by this denuded-of-junk material. Luckily, there is a good structure to the research that was contributed by many people over the four years since 2001. The main four parts of that structure are as follows:

• speculation as to motive. E.g., the government conjured up a fearsome enemy, Osama, because that would give the green light for military invasion of Afghanistan, and it would prepare Americans to surrender many of their political freedoms;
• evidence that suggests insider foreknowledge. E.g., the telltale fact that Larry Silverstein leased the World Trade Center's Twin Towers only six weeks before the event and set himself up for large reimbursement by insurance companies, and the fact that many FBI whistleblowers claim that the White House obstructed their pre-9/11 trailing of suspected terrorists;
• the flimsiness of the official story. E.g., the government's highly implausible claim that NORAD, with its superb surveillance system, lost track of four planes, and the allegation that someone found the passport of one of the hijackers on the ground in New York - a miraculous occurrence if it fell from a burning plane;
• lack of any proper investigation or prosecutions. E.g., the official 9/11 Commission did not require sworn testimony from Vice President Cheney, and the firefighters' request for a proper incident report has gone unheeded. Even public debate was suppressed by dubbing it 'unpatriotic' or 'paranoid.'

I feel no embarrassment in saying that I accept the inside-job theory. To me it makes perfect sense. Once I have admitted this, however, I am forced to move to the next stage and face the truly frightening question, "What should we do now that our government seems to be our violent enemy?" For the moment, let us look at one more conspiracy theory that has been canvassed on the Internet.

While the interview was not the best, it was undoubtedly enough to spark inquisitive minds all across the country. The Destruction of the World Trade Center: Why the Official Account Cannot Be True

In The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11, I summarized dozens of facts and reports that cast doubt on the official story about 9/11. Then in The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions, I discussed the way these various facts and reports were treated by the 9/11 Commission, namely, by distorting or simply omitting them. I have also taken this big-picture approach, with its cumulative argument, in my previous essays and lectures on 9/11. This approach, which shows every aspect of the official story to be problematic, provides the most effective challenge to the official story.

But this way of presenting the evidence has one great limitation, especially when used in lectures and essays: It means that the treatment of every particular issue must be quite brief, hence superficial. People can thereby be led to suspect that a more thorough treatment of any particular issue might show the official story to be plausible after all.

In the present essay, I focus on one question: why the Twin Towers and building 7 of the World Trade Center collapsed. One advantage of this focus, besides the fact that it allows us to go into considerable detail, is that the destruction of the World Trade Center provides one of the best windows into the truth about 9/11. Another advantage of this focus is that it will allow us to look at revelations contained in the 9/11 oral histories, which were recorded by the New York Fire Department shortly after 9/11 but released to the public only in August of 2005.

I will begin with the question of why the Twin Towers collapsed, then raise the same question about building 7.

The number of contradictions in the official version of . . . 9/11 is so overwhelming that . . . it simply cannot be believed. Yet . . . the official version cannot be abandoned because the implication of rejecting it is far too disturbing: that we are subject to a government conspiracy of 'X-Files' proportions and insidiousness.

David Ray Griffin does it again. Why the media refuses to acknowledge his work is beyond me. He has written dozens of books, was a professor at Claremont School of Theology for 20+ years, and has 40+ pages of references in each of his two books on 9/11.

A rumor is floating around that Steven Jones will be on Tucker Carlson's show tonight at 11:15pm EST.

I am guessing this rumor will prove to be untrue, but keep an eye out.. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I am told that Jones contacted Griffin and told him to let us all know, and that is where this rumor came from. I pray this is correct.

On September 10, 2001, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld held a press conference to disclose that over $2,000,000,000,000 in Pentagon funds could not be accounted for. Rumsfeld stated: "According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions."

Such a disclosure normally would have sparked a huge scandal. However, the commencement of the attack on New York City and Washington in the morning would assure that the story remained buried. To the trillions already missing from the coffers, an obedient Congress terrorized by anthrax attacks would add billions more in appropriations to fight the "War on Terror."

The Comptroller of the Pentagon at the time of the attack was Dov Zakheim, who was appointed in May of 2001. Before becoming the Pentagon's money-manager, he was an executive at System Planning Corporation, a defense contractor specializing in electronic warfare technologies including remote-controlled aircraft systems. 2-3 Zakheim is a member of the Project for a New American Century and participated in the creation of its 2000 position paper Rebuilding America's Defenses which called for "a New Pearl Harbor."

With the video from Jordan showing a woman making shocking accusations, it is worth recalling the last time when a woman was shown on TV making shocking accusations.

The day after Iraq invaded Kuwait, the Kuwaitis living in the US hired the public relations firm Hill and Knowlton - a job worth $1 million a month. This was the biggest ever contract in the history of public relations to improve the image of their corrupt, oil-rich regime.

The story of how Iraqi troops, in the first days of the invasion, went into Al-Adan hospital, tore the sick babies from incubators and left them on the cold floor to die was graphically told to Congress on November 1990 before the crucial vote to send US troops (passed by about 5 votes).

What the audience didn't know however was that the 15-year old girl who made the moving, tearful testimony was none other than Niyirah al-Sabah - daughter of the US Ambassador to Kuwait. She had allegedly worked as a volunteer in the maternity ward of the hospital. But nurses who live in the two story white building opposite the hospital in Kuwait City claimed that they had never seen the girl before in their life.

The entire move towards the Gulf War had thus been motivated by a blatant lie. The girl had been "trained" by Hill and Knowlton. The renowned international human rights group Amnesty International took out full-page newspaper spreads to publicise the babies incident. It had unwittingly (and not for the first time) transformed itself from a charity to a propaganda tool. Andrew Whitley of Middle East Watch described the story as a fabrication but it took months for the truth to come out. President Bush mentioned the incubator incident in five of his speeches and seven senators referred to them in speeches backing a pro-war resolution.

Prim, proper and Republican-looking BYU professor crosses into uncharted 9/11 truth waters. Bush attack dogs lurking around every corner. Watch your back, professor!

The story of the day in the 9/11 truth world is the prim, proper and conservative-looking BYU physics professor, coming out of the closet with a 19 page report about how the WTC buildings, defying laws of gravity, most likely collapsed due to “pre-positioned explosives.”

Professor Steven A. Jones’ highly provocative and scientifically researched report, concluded the government’s jet fuel theory was inconceivable due the nature of the freefall of the buildings, the towers falling in a matter of seconds within their own footprints exactly like a controlled demolition.

However, on Saturday Professor Jones telephoned the Arctic Beacon, saying he is more than willing to tell everyone why he believes the WTC came down from a controlled demolition and why he is urging the American people to insist authorities open up a fresh investigation.


“I came to the conclusion after several months of serious investigation and after conferring with people like David Ray Griffin and others,” said Jones today from his home in Utah, sounding like a very sincere, honest and forthright person, wanting to get to the truth about 9/11.

“My paper has been accepted for publication and surprisingly I have been met with a lot of encouragement and support from my colleagues at BYU. There have been, of course, emails calling me nuts and crazy but that’s to be expected.”

However, for practical purposes and to help Professor Jones adjust, let’s just say his quiet Utah world has ended forever with his decision to essentially tell the world the government is lying about 9/11. Of course, that’s not what he said specifically, but that’s how it will be interpreted, especially with the administration’s hyper-sensitive view towards those in academia who have questioned the official 9/11 story.

“I just believe we should get at the truth and open up another investigation. What finally tipped the scales for me was the way in which Building 7 collapsed,” said Jones, who admitted coming from a conservative background.

And if history proves right, Jones is now in for a world-wind 9/11 ride, a ride like he’s never experienced before. So professor be prepared to strap yourself very tight to your office chair since those on both sides of the 9/11 issue are going to be pulling and tugging at you, pulling hard in very different and opposite directions.

So, it’s really only a matter of time before he is somehow discredited for his views and only a matter of time before the Bushies pull out of their hats five, ten or fifteen other physic’s professors who totally disagree with him, as endless scientific debates will automatically take center stage for awhile like the many debates on the same issue have transpired in the past.

He then was quoted as saying “at which point everyone around me (at the speech) started applauding.” Even though this is a rather amusing tale, Jones should be prepared for some near death experiences of his own, since crossing the line with Daddy Bush is sometimes hazardous to one’s health.

WASHINGTON -- The United States created the myth around Iraq insurgency leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and reality followed, terrorism expert Loretta Napoleoni said.

Al-Zarqawi was born Ahmad Fadil al-Khalayleh in October 1966 in the crime and poverty-ridden Jordanian city of Zarqa. But his myth was born Feb. 5, 2003, when then-Secretary of State Colin Powell presented to the United Nations the case for war with Iraq.

Napoleoni, the author of "Insurgent Iraq," told reporters last week that Powell's argument falsely exploited Zarqawi to prove a link between then-Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida. She said that through fabrications of Zarqawi's status, influence and connections "the myth became the reality" -- a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"He became what we wanted him to be. We put him there, not the jihadists," Napoleoni said.

The grand claim that al-Zarqawi provided the vital link between Saddam and al-Qaida lost its significance after it became known that al-Zarqawi and bin Laden did not forge a partnership until after the war's start. The two are believed to have met sometime in 2000, but al-Zarqawi -- similar to a group of dissenting al-Qaida members --rebuffed bin Laden's anti-American brand of jihad.

An enormous opportunity for the 9/11 skeptics' community to gain a fair hearing and a voice in a major daily paper may be within grasp!

Please take 10 minutes time to write a letter to New York Newsday today, urging them:

1) To fairly cover why people reject the official story (the "official conspiracy theory") of the Sept. 11 attacks, and to fairly detail the evidence of US government facilitation of 9/11 and the omissions of the 9/11 Commission;

and

2) To give voice to the millions of actual 9/11 skeptics, researchers and activists by interviewing and quoting at least some of them, rather than exclusively quoting their detractors and "debunkers."

Since millions of Americans do reject the official story, shouldn't that view have been reflected on Newsday's editorial pages at least once in the five years since Sept. 11, 2001?

This is an exciting moment, because Newsday has actually published two such letters this week - an indication that they are probably receiving dozens or hundreds of complaints from their readers.

Meanwhile, Rep. Curt Weldon has turned up the heat on the Able Danger issue, saying that the truth of 9/11 has been subjected to a cover-up of Watergate proportions.

A new peer-reviewed article by Brigham Young physicist Steve Jones claims that the Twin Tower collapses were the result of pre-planted explosives. The latter has received much attention in the Utah press.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The fact that the U.S. government overlooked numerous warning signs in the run-up to the September 11 attacks is an old story that is being used in a new way in the Zacarias Moussaoui case. It could save his life.

With the admitted al Qaeda conspirator facing a death penalty trial early next year, the judge framed a key question in a recent closed-door hearing: Even if Moussaoui had told the FBI everything that he knew, would that have enabled the government to avert the 2001 terrorist strikes?

For example, the month before the terrorist strikes, CIA Director George Tenet was briefed about Moussaoui's arrest in Minnesota.

"Your honor ... he was given a slide show," attorney Edward MacMahon said of Tenet. "In August of 2001, Tenet was given a presentation called 'Islamic Extremist' or 'Islamic Fundamentalist Learns to Fly."'

On the morning of 9/11 a little known Cincinnati television station ran a story saying Flight 93 landed at Cleveland International Airport instead of crashing into the Pentagon as claimed in the official government story.

Reporters at WCPO Channel 9 quoted then Cleveland Mayor Michael R. White as saying “a Boeing 767 out of Boston made an emergency landing due to a bomb threat,” the airplane landing safely, moved to a secure location and evacuated.

The early morning report when on to say United Airlines verified the plane as Flight 93, but was also deeply concerned about another jetliner in the vicinity, Flight 175, flying from Boston to Los Angeles.

Also included in the little known news report was a comment from United CEO, James Goodwin, who said, “The thoughts of everyone at United are with the passengers and crew of these flights. Our prayers are also with everyone on the ground who may have been involved. United Airlines is working with all the relevant authorities, including the FBI, to obtain further information on these flights.”

With the evidence trail getting colder and colder, the obvious still must be asked: if Flight 175 was slamming into the South Tower and Flight 93 was downed over Pennsylvania like the government contends, why was Mayor White saying both planes were in or in the vicinity of Cleveland?

The answer to this question remains a mystery four years later since the 9/11 Commission or the FBI never thoroughly investigated the news report or former Mayor White’s statement.

When people are exposed to the overwhelming evidence that bombs brought down the World Trade Centers on 9/11 (see for example this short article and this essay), they often ask two questions:

If rogue elements within the U.S. government did cause 9/11, why would they have used bombs, when crashing planes into the buildings would have been sufficient to act as a "Pearl Harbor" type justification for war; and

How could bombs have been planted in the heavily-populated trade centers without people noticing?

The answers are, actually, pretty straightforward.

Why Were Bombs Used?

Planes alone would not have scared the American people to the point where we would have relinquished -- for the sake of security -- traditional American ideals of fighting only defensive wars and of having broad personal freedoms (we weren't necessarily following these ideals; but Americans at least believed in them). The war in Iraq and the wholesale suspension of personal liberties -- through the Patriot Acts and secret executive orders -- could not have happened without the "shock and awe" of the collapse of the Twin Towers.

Does it make any sense to have any security at the WTC site? Because when a 'terrorist' decides to strike, all the security provisions put in place will be noticeably absent anyway. New York Gov. George Pataki's office said yesterday that San Diego's SAIC has been hired to help authorities create a master security plan for the World Trade Center site while it is being rebuilt.

The amount of the contract was under negotiation.

Y. Professor Thinks Bombs, Not Planes, Toppled WTC

The physics of 9/11 - including how fast and symmetrically one of the World Trade Center buildings fell - prove that official explanations of the collapses are wrong, says a Brigham Young University physics professor.

In fact, it's likely that there were "pre-positioned explosives" in all three buildings at ground zero, says Steven E. Jones.

Jones, who conducts research in fusion and solar energy at BYU, is calling for an independent, international scientific investigation "guided not by politicized notions and constraints but rather by observations and calculations.

"It is quite plausible that explosives were pre-planted in all three buildings and set off after the two plane crashes - which were actually a diversion tactic," he writes. "Muslims are (probably) not to blame for bringing down the WTC buildings after all," Jones writes.

As for speculation about who might have planted the explosives, Jones said, "I don't usually go there. There's no point in doing that until we do the scientific investigation."

Previous investigations, including those of FEMA, the 9/11 Commission and NIST (the National Institutes of Standards and Technology), ignore the physics and chemistry of what happened on Sept. 11, 2001, to the Twin Towers and the 47-story building known as WTC 7, he says. The official explanation - that fires caused structural damage that caused the buildings to collapse - can't be backed up by either testing or history, he says.

He follows up with these bullet points:

• The three buildings collapsed nearly symmetrically, falling down into their footprints, a phenomenon associated with "controlled demolition" - and even then it's very difficult, he says. "Why would terrorists undertake straight-down collapses of WTC-7 and the Towers when 'toppling over' falls would require much less work and would do much more damage in downtown Manhattan?" Jones asks. "And where would they obtain the necessary skills and access to the buildings for a symmetrical implosion anyway? The 'symmetry data' emphasized here, along with other data, provide strong evidence for an 'inside' job."
• No steel-frame building, before or after the WTC buildings, has ever collapsed due to fire. But explosives can effectively sever steel columns, he says.
• WTC 7, which was not hit by hijacked planes, collapsed in 6.6 seconds, just .6 of a second longer than it would take an object dropped from the roof to hit the ground. "Where is the delay that must be expected due to conservation of momentum, one of the foundational laws of physics?" he asks. "That is, as upper-falling floors strike lower floors - and intact steel support columns - the fall must be significantly impeded by the impacted mass. . . . How do the upper floors fall so quickly, then, and still conserve momentum in the collapsing buildings?" The paradox, he says, "is easily resolved by the explosive demolition hypothesis, whereby explosives quickly removed lower-floor material, including steel support columns, and allow near free-fall-speed collapses." These observations were not analyzed by FEMA, NIST nor the 9/11 Commission, he says.
• With non-explosive-caused collapse there would typically be a piling up of shattering concrete. But most of the material in the towers was converted to flour-like powder while the buildings were falling, he says. "How can we understand this strange behavior, without explosives? Remarkable, amazing - and demanding scrutiny since the U.S. government-funded reports failed to analyze this phenomenon."
• Horizontal puffs of smoke, known as squibs, were observed proceeding up the side the building, a phenomenon common when pre-positioned explosives are used to demolish buildings, he says.
• Steel supports were "partly evaporated," but it would require temperatures near 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit to evaporate steel - and neither office materials nor diesel fuel can generate temperatures that hot. Fires caused by jet fuel from the hijacked planes lasted at most a few minutes, and office material fires would burn out within about 20 minutes in any given location, he says.
• Molten metal found in the debris of the World Trade Center may have been the result of a high-temperature reaction of a commonly used explosive such as thermite, he says. Buildings not felled by explosives "have insufficient directed energy to result in melting of large quantities of metal," Jones says.
• Multiple loud explosions in rapid sequence were reported by numerous observers in and near the towers, and these explosions occurred far below the region where the planes struck, he says.

Jones says he became interested in the physics of the WTC collapse after attending a talk last spring given by a woman who had had a near-death experience. The woman mentioned in passing that "if you think the World Trade Center buildings came down just due to fire, you have a lot of surprises ahead of you," Jones remembers, at which point "everyone around me started applauding."

Following several months of study, he presented his findings at a talk at BYU in September.

Jones says he would like the government to release 6,899 photographs and 6,977 segments of video footage for "independent scrutiny." He would also like to analyze a small sample of the molten metal found at Ground Zero.

1. My own analysis of the "pancaking" floors model (the FEMA/NIST model) combined with Conservation of Momentum considerations gives a much longer time for the fall (over 10 seconds) than that which was actually observed for WTC-7 (about 6.3 seconds, just over the free-fall time of 6.0 seconds). I find no evidence in their reports that government researchers (FEMA, NIST, 9-11 Commission) included Conservation of Momentum in their analyses.

This could be a very important addition to those in the science community who have given speeches and lectures on the physics of the WTC 'collapses' such as Jim Hoffman(911research.wtc7.net) and Jeff King(MIT).

Now is the time for others in the science community that feel this same way to harden their beliefs and announce their opinions as well.

Early tests on steel beams from the World Trade Center show they generally met or were stronger than design requirements, ruling them out as a contributing cause of the collapse of the towers, federal investigators said Wednesday.

Engineers with the National Institute of Standards and Technology have conducted preliminary tests on some of the 236 pieces of steel from the wreckage, said Frank Gayle, who is leading NIST's review of the steel.

One day after 9/11 the perfectly unscathed passport of Satam Al Suqami, one of the alleged 19 hijackers, was found several blocks from Ground Zero, even though its next to impossible such a flimsy item escaped the towering inferno unblemished.

Capt. Jim Ingledue, shift safety officer of the Virginia Beach Fire Dept, said Monday he found amidst the rubble at the Pentagon, two days after 9/11, the perfectly clean and unblemished California ID card of Suzanne Calley, 42, one of the alleged victims killed aboard Flight 77.

'I remember thinking it was highly unusual and strange to find a perfectly intact ID card amidst all that devastation,' said Capt. Ingledue, a Pentagon first responder who arrived two days after 9/11 and spent a total of seven days in search and rescue.

In a telephone conversation from Virginia Beach, Capt. Ingledue added the find was 'so strange' he kept it in his pocket for an hour instead of immediately turning the evidence over to FBI agents like he was instructed.

'When we arrived at the Pentagon, we were advised to turn over any personal effects or possible evidence immediately over to the FBI,' said Capt. Ingledue, who admitted the find was unusual, but doesn’t subscribe to any wild-eyed 9/11 conspiracy theories. 'I kept this bit of evidence with me a little longer, I don’t know why, but I guess I thought it was strange to find an ID in perfect shape when everything else around me was devastated.'

Capt. Ingledue said he arrived at the Pentagon abut two days after the fact, seeing body parts, airplane parts and other debris, but adding it was impossible to determine the exact type of airplane involved as well as if the body parts he saw came from passengers or from people killed inside the Pentagon.

'I have no reason to believe it wasn’t a commercial airliner,' said Capt. Ingledue. 'I don’t believe all those conspiracy stories and the stories people make up. I did see airplane seats and a corpse still strapped to one of the seats.

'I also remember seeing a table with a number of dead bodies still sitting around it. In my line of work, you have to disassociate yourself from the tragedy and the only time I really think about it is every year on Sept. 11.'

The conspiracy was hatched long before 9/11. I will not delve into the history of the neo-cons but rather go back only to the year 2000 when Dick Cheney asked the Project for a New American Century, a hub of anti-peace Likudniks, for a strategic study that was presented in September that year stressing that "the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein." But the hawks admitted that the American public would not support a war against Iraq unless there was a "catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor."

And so it was and the 9/11 attacks gave the hawks the excuse they needed. Iraq was not officially linked to the atrocity but every official statement also made mention of Iraq to establish a subconscious link in the mind of the American public.
The Niger uranium remains one of the most outrageous lies of the whole affair. It started with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi visiting Washington on October 15, 2001 with Nicolo Pollari, the new head of Italian intelligence (SISMI). Keen to please, they offered documents claiming that Iraq tried to buy uranium from Niger. The CIA studied the documents and decided they ere unreliable. Joseph Wilson was sent to Niger and confirmed the agency's suspicion.

The Bush administration and Congress must provide more resources to a new office charged with making it easier for federal officials to share intelligence information with state and local officials, the House Homeland Security Intelligence Subcommittee was told Tuesday.

"Congress has authorized, but not yet appropriated, funding for the [information-sharing] program manager's office," said former Rep. Lee Hamilton, D-Ind., who served as the vice chairman of the 9/11 Commission.

During the hearing, Rep. Curt Weldon, R-Pa., erupted with accusations that Hamilton and other commissioners ignored information that the government knew about possible al-Qaida members before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Weldon, citing a secret military intelligence program called Able Danger that he said identified some of the future hijackers by the fall of 2000, reiterated recent criticism that the commission failed to address this intelligence in its final report last year.

The Pentagon, however, has not confirmed that 9/11 terrorists such as Mohammed Atta had been identified as potential threats.

Weldon stormed out of the hearing after becoming upset with Hamilton's answers and accusing the former commission vice chairman of lying and being part of a cover-up by the Bush administration.

"I'm going to get to the bottom of this," Weldon warned as he headed out the door.

That's bang out of order

A FIREWORKS firm has provoked outrage by using a picture of the Twin Towers exploding on a box of rockets.

The packaging shows the World Trade Center towers in New York ablaze with missiles flying at them.

The rockets, are called Shock And Awe - after the 2003 Coalition campaign in Iraq - and the Towers sit over the words "200 shot barrage".

The towers were destroyed by al-Qaeda fanatics in hijacked passenger jets on September 11, 2001, leaving 2,800 dead.

I've heard it said a few times by those that believe 9/11 was perpetrated by our own government that 9/11, not Iraq, was the first major example of 'shock and awe', an attack in which the psychological impact outweighs the devastation of the attack itself.

I came across this article this morning and couldn't help but think that whoever came up with this fireworks box design was trying to make a larger statement, rather than just trying to 'cause offence'.

The attacks of 9/11 were the largest example of shock and awe we have seen. The psychological impact of 9/11 has been used to change the values of Americans to do things they otherwise would never have imagined. Perhaps the creator of this graphic was able to see through the 'off-topic' discussions to see the truth that 9/11 was a shock and awe attack on the American people themselves.

The irony of course is that should this box have left out the WTC towers it would have sold like hot-cakes, capitalizing on the depravity of those that would mock the destruction of men, women, and children in a country that had never attacked ours.

It seems to me that we really haven't a choice in believing or disbelieving "9/11 conspiracy theories" in general, but rather which conspiracy theory to believe, including the "official" conspiracy promulgated by the Bush Administration and the "9/11 Commission".

Indeed, there was a conspiracy, as "conspiracy" comes from the Latin for "to breathe together" and I've yet to meet anyone who proposes that all four airplanes hijacked themselves that morning.

I'm sorry to say that the official version is presented to us by a most dubious source, with a most serious track record for disseminating disinformation about non-existent "weapons of mass destruction" and impossible links between the religious fanatic Osama bin Laden and the staunch secularist Saddam Hussein.

Of course there are plenty of other theories, some worthy of further examination, others quite dismissable.

I myself am not yet ready to subscribe to any one to the exclusion of others.

However, I can tell you which one I reject out of hand.

With all the recent questions being asked about the lies that led us to war one question is still being ignored: what does 9/11 have to do with the US invasion of Iraq. The answer is not what you have been told; the illogical claim that 9/11 changed everything and it caused the US to change the way they dealt with potential threats. The real connection here is that 9/11 gave the men who wanted to invade Iraq so badly that they lied to the world in order to do it, the political and popular support to go ahead with their radical agenda.

The one question that becomes more relevant, less controversial and more important as the lies that led us to war are brought to light is this: who benefited from the events of 9/11 and how did they benefit?

Just as the members of the Project for a New American Century stated in their manifesto they needed a new Pearl Harbor in order to get the popular support for their radical agenda and they got that new Pearl Harbor on 9/11/2001. Imagine that; the very men who were in positions to prevent, permit or conduct the attacks of 9/11/2001 were the very people who had their wish granted at the moment the first plane hit the WTC.

Another obvious benefit of 9/11 is the open ended financial jackpot delivered to the military industrial complex and to the energy industry; both of which are interwoven with the members of the Bush/PNAC administration. These people have received untold and virtually unlimited financial profits as a result of the events of 9/11. The independent researchers have uncovered mountains of evidence indicating inside (American) complicity in the events of 9/11 yet many people refuse to believe them based on one premise; they refuse to believe that Americans would hurt other Americans. If this were true we would not need prisons. We would not have a Mafia. Greed alone has been the driving force that has caused man to kill man on a massive scale. Greed has been the driving force behind the murders of spouses, children, parents and total strangers. What makes you think that greed alone is not a good enough reason for war profiteers, who as a livelihood deal in death, to sacrifice a few thousand strangers so that they can reap unlimited fortune? That alone could alone serve as motive for taking part in the horrific events of 9/11/2001.

After two years of the investigation into Plamegate, the latest political upheaval has hit the proverbial fan. The ruthless nature of the Bush Administration’s dealings with Joe Wilson for revealing one of numerous monumental lies it’s told since the coup d’etat in 2000 can now be clearly seen by all. The retaliation was to expose Wilson’s wife’s status as a CIA agent, which is to commit treason. This comes from an Administration that promised to restore civility to Washington, DC.

However, the larger context must be considered: This Administration fabricated its rationale for invading Iraq. Every reason was a lie. To create the specter of a “mushroom cloud” threatening our very existence, the president’s men ignored the CIA’s discrediting of the forgery, based on a lie that Saddam Hussein was seeking “yellow cake” uranium from Niger. Yet it still wound up in the State of the Union speech as the now infamous “sixteen words.”

After Joe Wilson wrote an op-ed revealing that lie, the Administration conducted a hit operation on his wife, Valerie Plame, by revealing her identity as a CIA agent. This crime is made all the more egregious because it was perpetrated by an administration that claims to be strong on security, against an agent whose role was to work on counter-proliferation issues. They initially said Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney’s Chief of Staff, was not involved. They also said Karl Rove, top presidential aide, was innocent. Both were lies and both were covered up.

Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald’s indictment on Friday Oct. 28th comes a few months after the Downing Street Minutes revealed that intelligence on Iraq was fixed to support the agenda to invade.

With all the disastrous lies we’ve been told, and the high level crimes that have been exposed, what can we infer about the most shocking and traumatic event in US history, the attacks of 9/11? What are the odds that we’ve been told the truth? Why did it take 14 months for our government to authorize an investigation which it then tried to obstruct if there isn’t something serious to be hidden from us?

Even the most basic analysis will conclude that there’s no way a multitude of warnings over several years, including high level warnings from 11 foreign countries, could have all been missed. All of this adds up to the fact that 9/11 was the most glaring act of treason in history. We all must be aware that to fail to demand answers to the glaring questions and discrepancies is to accept and endorse the official explanation.

Sept. 11 conspiracy theories have edged into the mainstream.

In September, Fire Department chaplain candidate Imam Intikab Habib questioned whether Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida were responsible for the attacks, then quickly withdrew from the job. A short time later came a two-day conference in New York City that was built around the charge that "controlled demolition" brought down the World Trade Center.

As a cultural phenomenon, though, it's all been seen before: This is a conspiracy nation, and it has been almost since its founding. Those who study conspiracy rhetoric say beliefs in various 9/11 cabals are entirely predictable, that conspiracy narratives, ranging from the thoughtful and plausible to the fringy and fanciful, always have been threaded throughout American culture.

A recurring trend, conspiracy theories tend to emerge after major national events as a means of making sense of the senseless.

"The most ambitious conspiracy theories are, in a way, oddly comforting to the people who hold them," said Michael Barkun, a professor of political science at Syracuse University and the author of "A Culture of Conspiracy: Apocalyptic Visions in Contemporary America," published in 2003.

"Fear easily turns to paranoia when there is a climate of distrust that the government is participating in, when you cannot trust your information sources," Siegel said.

That in turn spawns conspiracy theories, which columnist Christopher Hitchens calls "the white noise which moves in to fill the vacuity of the official version."

For all the transfiguring awfulness of 9/11, subsequent conspiracies have not overtaken the public imagination the way the Kennedy assassination did in 1963, a skepticism that persists to this day.

Is a crucial "terror" figure in the pre-9/11 propaganda campaign being pre-positioned in Canada for use as a propaganda tool after a post-9/11 attack? Back in October 2003, I posted an article in which I noted the key importance of the December 1999 arrest of Ahmed Ressam in establishing a crucial evidentiary trail that would later be used most effectively in linking al-Qaida to the attack on September 11.

Put quite simply, the "bait" of Fateh Kamel was absolutely crucial in laying down the evidentiary trail that eventually linked Ressam to the al-Qaida organization. This link, in turn, was one of the main planks used almost immediately after 9/11 in casting bin Laden as the central suspect for the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Several months before Ressam fulfilled his historic role in the Official 9/11 Legend, Bruguiere had arranged for the arrest of Fateh Kamel in Jordan, along with his subsequent extradition to France on charges of abetting terror. Bruguiere used this arrest soon thereafter as a pretext to prod the Canadians to revisit Kamel's "apartment de conspiracie" in Montreal, whereupon they just missed Ressam yet captured incriminating al-Qaida documents that were "left behind."

In the interim since 9/11, new suspect terror cliques have been marketed with documented links to Canada. We even know the names of some of the key members of these networked cliques with ties to, or documented activities in, Canada—Abderrouf Jdey, Adnan el-Shukrijumah, the el-Maati brothers, and the Khadrs, Canada's reputed "First Family of Terror."

So, with all of the above in mind, is it a stretch to surmise that Fateh Kamel is once again being pre-positioned in Canada to serve as the evidentiary "bait" that links the newly marketed post-9/11 terror cliques with the pre-9/11 Ressam Canadian clique?

Conveniently, some elements of the Canadian media—for instance, the National Post's Stewart Bell—are presenting the Canadian border as a porous point of opportunity for the al-Qaida network to infiltrate through. Bin Laden has also conveniently played his part, having assured the world that Canada is a key target on his "official hit list." Should Canada be the setting or operative connection for the next devastating terror attack in North America, a number of terror "experts" have already put in play the excuse that Canada is "lax" on terror. Canadian laws and policies will be blamed. A campaign to set up a harmonized North American security and legal zone will gather steam.

Anyone in the Vermont area, here's a candidate worth checking out. His website actually states that he believes there was a conspiracy to invade and occupy Iraq. The fact that he's willing to use that word shows he has some courage. Unfortunately, from what I've read, he does not believe the democrats share in any of the blame.

Google launched their book search engine this week. From what I have read they are scanning an average of 5,000 books a day, all of which are fully available online.

Controlled collapse of World Trade Center Building 7? - Al Jazeera

How is it possible that a horrific event like September 11 attacks has been subjected to so little investigation? What motivation can justify the great haste with which so much unique physical evidence was destroyed?

Video evidence and eyewitness reports raise very serious questions about the official story of 9/11, pointing strongly to a controlled demolition.

Also Michael Taylor, an expert demolition contractor from Pennsylvania, was quoted as saying that the fall of the buildings ‘looked like a controlled demolition’.

Van Romero, another expert, and vice-president for research at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, made similar remarks after studying videos of the attack,

“Explosive devices inside the buildings caused them to collapse”, said Romero.

But ten days later and without explanation, Romero recanted that view.

A drunken probationary firefighter who is a Harvard University graduate stole a delivery truck Friday morning and crashed it into an idle movie set in Chelsea where Oliver Stone's Sept. 11 film is being shot, police and sources said.

Neither the Fire Department nor police offered any explanation for his behavior -- except that he was allegedly drunk.

Police said his blood-alcohol level was 1.7, twice the legal limit of .08. Scharf was assigned to Ladder Co. 16 on East 67th Street.

A man who grabbed him as he tried to leave the scene of the crash told police Scharf offered money to let him go.

"When I caught up to him, he was like, 'Cool, man. Cut me loose. Cut me loose. You know who my family are,' " Benjamin Washington told reporters later.

This secret task force, which fought all the way to the Supreme Court to keeps its records and deliberations secret from the public, is for me the place where the deepest darkest secrets of both the September 11th attacks and government's awareness of Peak Oil lie buried. The task force convened just as the first 20 out of 25 wells drilled in the Caspian Basin came up dry holes. In "Crossing the Rubicon" I discuss the meager seven pages of NEPDG records released after lawsuits which confirm the group's obsession, not with oil discovery, conservation (economic stagnation) or energy substitutes, but with where the known oil was, who owned it and apparently who had to be dealt with to get it. The public report of the NEPDG told us, just four months before the 9/11 attacks:

• "America in the year 2001 faces the most serious energy shortage since the oil embargoes of the 1970s."
• "Estimates indicate that over the next 20 years, US oil consumption will increase by 33 percent, natural gas consumption by well over 50 percent, and demand for electricity will rise by 45 percent."
• "US energy consumption is expected to increase by about 32 percent by 2020. Between 2000 and 2020, US natural gas demand is projected by the Energy Information Administration to increase by more than 50 percent. Yet we produce 39 percent less oil today than we did in 1970, leaving us ever more reliant on foreign suppliers. On our present course, America 20 years from now will import nearly two of every three barrels of oil Ñ a condition of increased dependency on foreign powers that do not always have America's interests at heart."

Although this is an "alternative" 9/11 news blog, some statements in this article are perfect examples of the propaganda we've all been subjected to since 9/11 that, oddly enough, seem to coincide with the drops in Bush's approval ratings.

I made a mistake in the last column, in using logic rather than numbers and names. My premise is that this government of ours was not only grossly negligent in preventing 9/11, but actively complicit in the horrible event.

Insults are bad;
exposing crime is good

It is true that when members of a group fight among themselves, they become less effective.

However, is also true that a group must clean itself of incompetent leaders and criminals.

Therefore, we need to distinguish between the disruptive fighting that can weaken a group, and the beneficial fighting that cleanses an organization of its incompetence and criminal activity.

If the fighting involves nothing more than insults, it is usually disruptive. Insults are sometimes useful, however, because they can act like a slap in the face to force a person to look at an issue differently.

If the fighting involves serious analyses of behavior, by comparison, it is usually helpful because it can identify the incompetent or corrupt leaders. Not surprisingly, crummy leaders will try to suppress analyses of themselves.

I don't worry about disrupting the 9/11 movement because I don't see any 9-11 movement. Instead, I see two categories of 9-11 activists:

1) Individual citizens who work on their own

I refer to these people as an invisible army because most of them are ordinary citizens, and we will never know their names. Most of them may affect only a few other people, but there are thousands of them, and they are scattered around the world. They are having a significant effect.

2) Organizations

Example are 911truth.org, MoveOn.org, and Veterans for Peace. The members of these groups work together under the guidance of leaders.

Conclusion

When I complain about the leadership in the 9-11 movement, the peace movement, the labor unions, the school system, the corporations, and our government, I hear endless excuses.

Both the Republicans and the Democrats have dozens of excuses for their crummy leaders; the members of the MoveOn organization have excuses for their incompetent leadership; and the members of the Veterans For Peace have excuses for their crummy leadership.

We are not dividing the nation when we stand up to our leaders. Rather, we are cleaning our house of incompetence and corruption. We are exposing the crummy leaders and criminals.

9/11: Attack or godsend?

Was 9/11 more than just an attack? Could the Bush administration have had anything to gain from the attack? Two prominent European politicians, Michael Meacher and Andreas von Bülow, express their serious doubts about the official version of the 9/11 story.

As the fourth anniversary of 9/11 approached in the year 2005, many of us were still wondering what precisely happened on that terrifyng day. What is certain, is that the official story, the “party line” emanating from Washington, and faithfully repeated by Ottawa, has been glibly trotted out in the complete absence of any shred of supporting proof, while the overwhelming body of evidence pointing to the tragic events of 9/11 as having been carefully orchestrated by what some consider to be the most powerful people in the world, have been entirely ignored, and those who [attempt to]bring it to light, are either ignored in the cacaphony of hysteria and deception, or are branded “conspiracy theorists”.

Very disturbing is the fact that close examination of the facts surrounding the events of 9/11 show that on September 11th, there were "excercises" which entailed planes flying into buildings. Given the scope and magnitude of those excercises, they had to have been held under NORAD's auspices. As Canada is a partner, albeit a junior one, its government had to have been informed of these excercises ahead of time. This is all the more since the deputy head of NORAD at that time, was, according to Paul Martin, a Canadian. (The Prime Minister made this statement during the course of an interview with Peter Mansbridge prior to the last federal elections of 2004).

The American people have been seriously misled about the origins of the al Qaeda movement blamed for the 9/11 attacks, just as they have been seriously misled about the reasons for America’s invasion of Iraq.

The truth is that for at least two decades the United States has engaged in energetic covert programs to secure U.S. control over the Persian Gulf, and also to open up Central Asia for development by U.S. oil companies. Americans were eager to gain access to the petroleum reserves of the Caspian Basin, which at that time were still estimated to be “the largest known reserves of unexploited fuel in the planet.”[1]

The lying continues. The 9/11 Commission Report assures Americans that “Bin Ladin and his comrades had their own sources of support and training, and they received little or no assistance from the United States.”[6] This misleading statement fails to consider that:

1) Al Qaeda elements received considerable indirect U.S. Government assistance, first in Afghanistan until 1992, and thereafter in other countries such as Azerbaijan (1992-95). Before 1992, for example, the Afghan leader Jallaladin Haqqani organized and hosted the Arab Afghan volunteers known later as al Qaeda; and Haqqani “received bags of money each month from the [CIA] station in Islamabad.”[7] The Arab Afghans were also trained in urban terrorism, including car bombings, by Pakistani ISI operatives who were in turn trained by the CIA.[8]

I always knew a confrontation was a real possibility, but until it happens….. I didn't realize that this is preferable to being ignored (the usual response) This issue IS powerful and I would expect those paying attention to get emotional.

The run in began with a U.S Navy Vet saying "I was fucking disgrace" .."We don't want you here…Go to Cuba" Guantanamo Bay? I responded. Then he wanted to get a gun and kill me. Nice American? Who hates his country? As this was going on I got charged from a Marine type from behind. After I got up a group of a good seventy people gathered and all were shouting. Cops? Nowhere! Normally they are always visible downtown.

All in all, it was a good day. Those who yell the loudest are those most afraid that this might be true.

Peter Lance’s new book, Cover up: What The Government Is Still Hiding About The War On Terror, links the crash of TWA Flight 800 to 9/11. Lance maintains that Ramzi Yousef who perpetrated the 1993 WTC bombing was responsible for the bombing of TWA Flight 800 in 1996. Lance also wonders why the 9/11 Commission’s report does not report that three war games simulations were taking place. Two F-16’s were in the air eight minutes from the 9/11 sites.

Lance postulates that the commission left out vital details in its attempt avoid placing the blame for the tragedy on anyone but "terrorists." Lance also questions the use of former government workers who might have something to hide, on the staff of the commission.

Lance narrated a trip he took to the Philippines in April 2002 where he interviews Colonel Rodolfo B Mendosa whom he called the “Richard Clarke of the Philippines.” Colonel Mendoza had questioned a cohort of Yousef about several plots, one to kill the Pope, and another to blow up as many as11 jumbo jets with explosives placed under seats.

Some Americans and people around the world are wondering more about the 9/11 attacks. Questions are being asked, information is surfacing and allegations are being made.

The “9/11 Truth Movement” is a phrase being used to describe a wide range of people and organizations in the U.S. and internationally who are asking these questions and digging up information that appears, on the surface, to be quite serious, if true.

Are these people conspiracy nuts? Delusional? Paranoid?

Some of these allegations do include stories of conspiracy, as well as cover-up and a possible “false flag” operation. A false flag action is one in which one party carries out an attack or helps facilitate an attack, but does so in a way so that blame is put on another party or nation.

Researchers within the 9/11 Truth Movement put forth interesting information and hypothesize about possible motivations for some people to want an event like the 9/11 attacks to occur.

Howard Baker of the Baker-Hamilton Commission to Investigate Certain Security Issues at Los Alamos. He is currently a member of the President's Homeland Security Advisory Council.

The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, an independent, bipartisan commission created in late 2002, was chartered to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, including preparedness for and the immediate response to the attacks. The commission was also mandated to provide recommendations designed to guard against future attacks. The commission issued its report in July 2004.
