WeAreCHANGE Maryland

On the evening of Thursday, October 11th, five members of WeAreCHANGE Maryland stood outside the Baltimore Sun office on Calvert Street in downtown Baltimore for over three hours distributing DVDs and flyers to passersby.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. Almost everyone who walked past us took a flyer and DVD, including businessmen and women. Many people rolled down their car window during a red light to receive materials. Standing next to a bus stop, we even had a bus driver beckon for some as well. We got many supportive honks, waves, and pumped fists.

In total we handed out over 100 flyers, over 100 DVDs (mostly 9/11: Press for Truth with some Terrorstorm), and got thousands of eyes on our signs.

By standing outside the main offices of Baltimore's leading newspaper, we sent a powerful message to thousands of people that news organizations like the Sun are failing in their duty to inform the people about the crucial issues raised by the 9/11 truth movement.

A quick look at the Sun's website reveals some of the worthless drivel that passes for news these days. Heaven forbid they cover some actual news -- like, say, the recent Zogby poll which found that 51% of Americans want Congress to investigate the actions of Bush and Cheney before, during, and after 9/11, and that 67% fault the 9/11 Commission for not investigating the anomalous collapse of World Trade Center 7.

This was not the first time some of us had been outside the Sun, and it certainly won't be the last.

A few months ago, I sent a nice message via the Sun's online comment box for submitting story ideas. A story about a hot dog eating competition somehow made the front page of their website, so I figured they were running low on real news. I informed them that I would be demonstrating in front of their building later that month, and that I would be prepared to give materials to a reporter and discuss evidence of FBI witness intimidation in Florida in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, in addition to giving a run-down of the 9/11 truth movement and why it is growing so rapidly.

I received no response. Here is an artist's rendition of the likely reaction to my letter:

It is clear from the reactions we received what the people really want.

We'll be back!
