So far, the “9/11 truth” movement is what it looks like, people unsatisfied with the explanation they got, scientists, scholars, politicians, world leaders and a few crazy people, all loosely tied to one idea, finding the truth, a truth that key members of the 9/11 Commission have said is not in their report because of a “criminal conspiracy” to mislead them.

If anything, the “9/11 truth “movement is the victim, a victim of smear campaigns and it is increasingly reported that their organizations, which number in the hundreds, have come under investigation by security agencies and their membership has been heavily infiltrated much as with the militia movements of the 80s and 90s.

The 2002 PBS documentary "America Rebuilds" is understandably becoming more difficult to find. Amazon offers the 2006 version: "America Rebuilds II" but no longer lists the more incredulous 2002 DVD, filled with impossible assertions. One scene wants America to believe that jet fuel was responsible for the two months of underground "fires" at ground zero. Another scene shows Larry Silverstein confessing to a "terrorist" act.

The 9/11 related stuff begins about 20min into the show.

I think that there is a lot of indirect evidence pointing at the fact that Israel had a key role in the 9/11 events. I have, however, no idea how Dr. Sabrosky came to the conclusion that it was 100% certain that 9/11 was a Mossad operation. There is an expression which KGB officers like to use. They say that "it is important that the ears not stick out" (in a covert operation) referring to the image of a dog, or wolf, hiding behind an object with his ears visibly sticking out. I would say that I clearly see the "ears" of the Israelis "sticking out behind the burning WTC buildings". Alas, "seeing ears" is far from being a proof of anything.

What do you guys think? Does anybody know of any good evidence of Israeli involvment?

We got together to put stickers on 1200+ DVDs, stamp the sleeves with the WeAreChangeLA contact info, and stuff the DVDs into the sleeves. We also laid out all of our banners and gave them a good cleaning. This is all in preparation for our participation in the anti-war march here in Los Angeles. Can't wait!

By doing this out in the open at a popular park, we created a visibility action for passersby to learn about 9-11 Truth. Everyone brought flyers and displays for this fun outreach.

Steve Wright did a great job interviewing the passersby and he put together a fantastic video. Check it out!

A ruling Democratic Party of Japan lawmaker who was criticized by The Washington Post for what it described as a ‘‘bizarre’’ conspiracy theory on the Sept 11, 2001, terror attacks received a stern warning from a senior DPJ lawmaker on Thursday.

DPJ Administration Committee Chairman Tenzo Okumura told Yukihisa Fujita, who serves as director general of the International Department of the DPJ, to watch what he says given the importance of his post, according to a participant at the meeting.

In its editorial dated March 8, The Washington Post presented Fujita’s views on the terror attacks, including his argument that some hijackers remain alive and that ‘‘shadowy forces’’ with advance knowledge of the plot profited from stock trading.

The U.S. daily described his views as a ‘‘bizarre, half-baked and intellectually bogus’’ conspiracy theory and said they ‘‘seem to reflect a strain of anti-American thought that runs through the DPJ and the government of Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.’‘

9-11 Commission Report misinformation on evacuation drills

When the 9-11 Commission Report came out in 2004, I was not particularly sanguine regarding its prospects in terms of accuracy. I did not bother to wade through the entire work, which was billed as well-written and exciting reading. Nothing bores me more than a perversion of the truth. I did, however, check out a portion of the document that related to a personal experience.

In 1999, I was working at Fuji Bank, on the 79th Floor of World Trade Center 2. During my short tenure there, I participated in a drill in which I along with about fifty other employees descended all 79 floors through the stairwells and exited the building. It was this kind of preparation that I believed was responsible for so many people being able to escape from the Twin Towers on 9-11, and I wanted to see what the 9-11 Commission report said about it. Sure enough, the document devotes some sentences to the type of drill I had experienced.

As I detailed previously, both the Joint Intelligence Committee and 9/11 Commission investigations into 9/11 had government "minders" intimidating witnesses into not saying anything the government didn't like.

You may assume that the issue of "minders" is overblown, and is not really that important.

But, as the New York Times noted in 2003:

The panel [i.e. the 9/11 Commission] also said the failure of the Bush administration to allow officials to be interviewed without the presence of government colleagues could impede its investigation, with the commission's chairman suggesting today that the situation amounted to "intimidation" of the witnesses.

Two-thirds of respondents stand by the conclusions of the 9/11 Commission, which blamed al-Qaeda for the attacks.

The recent suggestion by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that the 9/11 attacks were a “fabrication” is rejected by a large proportion of Americans, a new Angus Reid Public Opinion poll has found.

In the online survey of a representative national sample of 1,007 American adults, 62 per cent of respondents disagree with Ahmadinejad’s claims that the “Sept. 11 incident was a big fabrication as a pretext for the campaign against terrorism and a prelude for staging an invasion against Afghanistan.” Only 26 per cent of respondents agree with this notion, and 12 per cent are undecided.

Republicans (80%) are more likely to reject the statement than Independents (66%) or Democrats (55%).

The largest group of entries added to the 9/11 Timeline over the last couple of weeks concerns military exercises and the day of 9/11. FAA training exercises in December 2000 included scenarios "close to the 9/11 plot," and there was a Boeing 767 FAA hijack exercise in the summer of 2001, as well as a simulated suicide terrorist attack against New York two days before 9/11, and a mock Cuban hijacking the next day. Early on the day of the attacks, numerous aircraft at Andrews Air Force Base were participating in a training exercise, and controllers at Reagan National Airport failed to notify the Pentagon of the approach of Flight 77.
