The Real Thing

In 2001-2 there were very few websites dedicated to 9/11 truth. In fact, we were still trying to figure out what to call ourselves. I remember how nervous it made me to suggest...back then...that perhaps remote-controlled aircraft were used.

In those days I used a borrowed computer to access the websites. Recently I had the chance to see some of the on-line videos I'd never had access to, before. The one that impressed me most was Steven Jones lecturing while a Thermite promo played simultaniously.

Having followed the 49er hit-piece from the start (and still getting e-mails from the site) definate patterns arise with those "debunkers" who fight so vehemently against the TruthMovement's presentation of facts. There's lot's of "could it be?" and "Perhaps, then" statements. On one debunking website, the author nudges himself next to the firefighters, thus becoming one in the reader's mind. In short, deceptive techniques are employed along with subliminal suggestion. Virtually never is there a forthright statement.

None of us has had an easy time in the Truth Movement. There have necessarily been regroupings, refreshed approaches, and even some group therapies. Janice Matthews, of 911Truth.org. made one of the most significant breakthroughs to benefit 911 Truth: we had been conducting this through our egos, and not our hearts. I found this true in myself, and adjusted accordingly. Not only are our egos the wrong place to take a stand; they are severely vulnerable to attacks (see the 49er posts) and such attacks prompt ego-based responses. Most Truthers are no longer ego-based, but have taken a gentler approach. As such, the underlying earmarks of a dedicated Truther would be the absence of personal attacks, belittling of participants, condescending remarks, or outright diversions.

I proposed years ago that the explosives could have been placed in the towers inside of soda vending machines, strategically placed in areas where they would not be conspicuous. Having seen the Thermite promos, I still think this a viable answer. Few would have survived to tell us if such "new" vending machines appeared shortly before 9/11. In visiting the debunking websites, I found consistantly that the sneering opposition is pre-disposed to anything we say as being rediculous.

The Movement has turned a new corner. I remain confident that some unrelated event will lead to 9/11 Truth in a seemingly unrelated way. It is this non-direct approach, I think, that will be the breakthrough we need.

That, and a few confessions would help.
