A Coalition for Major Outreach This 9/11 Anniversary

GroundZero911.com aims to provide activists with 9/11 Anniversary event information as well as the tools necessary for public outreach.

Our goal is to encourage anyone that believes we need a new investigation into the events surrounding September 11th, 2001 to come to New York City for the Anniversary.

This movement was started by the victims' family members who had questions. Their loved ones were murdered and they've never been given answers. It's time to demand those answers, to unite together to demand justice. Let's make history this September 11th by coming together in New York City in hopes of the justice we've all been fighting for. Please also check out our Twitter, Facebook, and Facebook Event Page.

General Synopsis of the 9/11 Anniversary:

The early birds will start arriving around 7am, and at this time we usually line up peacefully along the black fences of St. Paul's Chapel on Vesey Street between Church St. & Broadway. The official MTA/Port Authority 9/11 memorial service usually lasts from 8am - 12pm with two moments of silence at 8:45am and 9:03am. During this time it is important to show the utmost respect for those who lost their lives that day and their grieving families so please, no bullhorns, shouting, chanting, yelling, etc.

Once the "official" ceremony is over, usually around noon, we march from the black fences of St. Paul's Chapel down Vesey until we reach the WTC PATH station where WeAreChange holds their Saturday street actions. Then we engage the public, hand out fliers, setup information boards, and sometimes a special guest speaker will give a speech.

At roughly 5pm we gather at the 'Remembrance Fountain' in front of Building 7. This is where we read aloud the names of our 'Forgotten Heroes'. The First Responders who lost their lives after 9/11 and are not acknowledged during the "official" remembrance ceremony at Ground Zero.

*Note: If the New York Police Department prevents people from gathering at the traditional locations listed above, it's recommended people gather publicly at the Chase Bank across from St. Paul’s Chapel as a temporary alternative, as we did on September 11th, 2011.

* Please be sure to check back as we draw closer to September. We will have more details for Friday 9/12 and Saturday 9/13.

All locations for the Anniversary Events have been marked on the Google Map above.
