Incoming FDNY chaplain questions 9/11 story

This is big news, another Theologian doubting the story. Furthermore, his membership with the FDNY may encourage other firefighters to talk as well.

Incoming FDNY chaplain questions 9/11 story

An imam slated to be sworn in Friday as the second Muslim chaplain in Fire Department history said he questioned whether 19 hijackers were responsible for the Sept. 11 terror attacks, and suggested a broader conspiracy may have brought down the Twin Towers and killed more than 2,700 people.

In a telephone interview Thursday, Imam Intikab Habib, 30, a native of Guyana who studied Islam in Saudi Arabia, said he doubted the United States government's official story blaming 19 hijackers associated with al-Quaida and Osama bin Laden.

"I as an individual don't know who did the attacks," said Habib, 30, a soft-spoken man who immigrated to New York in July 2000 after spending six years in Saudi Arabia getting a degree in Islamic theology and law. "There are so many conflicting reports about it. I don't believe it was 19 ... hijackers who did those attacks."

Asked to elaborate on his reasons for doubting that story, he talked about video and news reports widely disseminated in the Muslim community.

"I've heard professionals say that nowhere ever in history did a steel building come down with fire alone," he said. "It takes two or three weeks to demolish a building like that. But it was pulled down in a couple of hours. Was it 19 hijackers who brought it down, or was it a conspiracy?"

Questioned about who he believed was responsible for the attacks, Habib said he didn't know. He said, however, that he did not expect to raise his doubts with rank-and-file firefighters -- nor did he share them two weeks ago when he participated in several Sept. 11 memorials on behalf of the Fire Department.

"My position as a chaplain is that whoever did it, it's a tragic incident," he said. "I feel sorrow for the families who lost loved ones and for the firefighters who died in it. Whoever did it, it was a very wrong thing. It's always wrong to take an innocent human life."

She asked who I was

She asked who I was affiliated with... "errr... 911... Truth... something" as if she'd already known of their existence... so I said, "yeah, I'm with 911Truth.org"... "I called to tell you that I support Mr. Habib's right to believe what he wants, and that I agree with his stance." and she asked, "Where are you from?", and I told her... then I thanked her for writing the story, and she said, "I'm just reporting the news", which I thought was rather refreshing... then she said they're coming out with a follow-up tomorrow about why he was asked to resign. She also said that Nick Levis from 911Truth.org is going to be in an article or something...

Shows you how taboo this subject is. Also show how big this story got

you have to wake up. Wake up

you have to wake up. Wake up or stay afraid, and let those who commited those atrocities get away with what they've done.

I can't let that happen. I won't let that happen. I REFUSE to let that happen.

NO ONE can force you to look at the facts. That's something you have to decide for yourself. If you do, I and others will be there to help you understand what happened TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY.

NONE of us know exactly what happened that day. We DO know A LOT of what wasn't told to us, and what hasn't been followed up on, or addressed.

Don't let this article get to you because it is VERY one-sided.

That is an excellent

It sounds like a complete waste of time. If you think about it just a little, you can easily guess what Bloomberg would do with this petition.

It would be far more useful to protest in front of firestations can call for the "re-instatement" of Habib's candicacy for chaplain. The idea would be to use this opportunity to spread 911 truth to fellow citizens.

Bloomberg is as receptive to 911 truth as is Guiliani, Bush or Cheney. I.e., not at all.

It's too bad that Habib crumbled so quickly. Any chance he'll reconsider?

I've noticed lately some

I've noticed lately some sites that ostensibly promote 9/11 truth are headlining that slightly-starbursty image of sunlight between the 2 WTC towers.

That image has been misused to death by Christian groups. Apparently they see a religious cross in that light pattern. I find it despicable to try to to turn 9/11 into something religious, when it is not.

Please keep in mind that all the best disinformation about 9/11 is intended to steer out minds into believing (or away from even questioning) that 19 Muslim hijackers ("them", not "us") can be blamed for 9/11...

Regarding comments made by Imam Intikab Habib, I support him completely and his right to free speech.

Furthermore, I don't know how such opinions could prevent him from effectively doing his job. Millions of others, including myself share the same opinion.

Where is the talk of

Where is the talk of "Freedom Of Speech"? Where is the talk of political beliefs not being a factor in the hiring and firing of someone? Where is the talk of the other Firemen who believe otherwise? Why is it easier for him as a Muslim to concieve of it? Because Muslims were behind it? Ok, maybe that eases his guilt, but what about American guilt due to the fact that Americans were involved as well?

It wasn't easy for ANY OF US to come to terms with the impossible.

Yet, when ALL of the facts, and NOT just those brought forth by our Government point in a certain direction, EVENTUALLY
