Bush Denies Ever Claiming 9-11/Saddam Link Now

President George W. Bush said on Friday that he wrestled for months over the decision to go to war in Iraq but that he remains convinced it was the right decision.
In the latest in a series of comments in which he has gone further than in the past to acknowledge heated debate over the war, Bush told PBS in an interview that he never tried to guess casualty numbers before the March 2003 invasion but said he understood the risks.
"I'll never forget making the decision in the Situation Room, and it affected me," he was quoted as saying in the transcript of the interview for "The News Hour with Jim Lehrer."
"I got up out of the chair and walked around the South Lawn there and I thought, you know, I knew the decision I had just made -- by the way, that I had been wrestling with for months -- was the right decision," Bush said.
Bush, in a speech on Wednesday, took the blame for going to war over faulty intelligence but said he was right to topple Saddam Hussein and urged Americans to be patient.
The Bush administration had emphasized the threat of weapons of mass destruction as a reason to go to war in Iraq but such weapons were never found.
Senior U.S. officials, including Vice President Dick Cheney, had also warned before the war of possible links between Hussein's government and the planners of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.
Bush acknowledged on Friday there was no evidence of such a link.
"There was no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the attack of 9/11," Bush said. "I've never said that and never made that case prior to going into Iraq."
But he added that he believed the two issues were related even in the absence of direct ties.
"I think they are related in the war on terror because he (Saddam) had terrorist connections. Again, he was a sworn enemy and he'd had weapons of mass destruction, had used them," Bush said.

This is where this whole movement gets confusing with information that conflicts with other information... either it was al qaeda terrorists or it wasn't, saddam is our enemy or he's not.... you can't play both sides...

Worth mentioning? ... Stop The 9/11 Cover-up sign slips by (?) on NBC4 LA, 7 AM Sun. morning. In a tight shot, but brief, with four or five other signs, only a corner blocked out by another sign. It was rather clear to me. From Hollywood & Highland last night. I have been at protests where the cameraman panned by, but the 9/11 Truth signs (I would say) never make the cut.
Last night was a very festive event with Vietnam vet, Ron Kovic, carolers and even Santa Claus. Sponsored by Answer LA. My guess, a couple hundred people at it's peak. Alot of foot traffic with innocent passers-by. Eventually, they brought in a couple traffic cops to deal with the gawkers. I saw maybe four other 9/11 Truth signs -- well represented. Once again, many of those with a different focus, were well aware that the official story is ridiculous.

much like the impossibility of the magic bullet, the proponents of the official story will go to any lengths to protect it....just like now.
Al-CIAduh was involved but probably only as the distraction. if someone wants to set up someone then they leave clues that point to that someone....like Korans left at bars, or Atta's will in the luggage that didn't make onto his plane....how lucky are we that the luggage supposedly going on the same plane that Atta crashed into the building never made it? thereby allowing us to identify him as one of the hijackers.....any logical person would give pause to allow that BS to sink in. not to mention that his flight out of portland was late, but he still made his flight from Logan, and yet his luggage didn't?
or the passport that escaped the massive plane exlposion and building-shattering fire to land on some rubble near the WTC.
there are alot of things this movement disagrees on, like what actually hit the pentagon or whether the planes were flown by terrorists or remote control.
what we can all agree on is the impossibility of the official story as the gov't tells us how it happened and there lack of willingness to deviate from the official story despite the evidence to throw that story into doubt...everything else are hypotheses.
