I know this is really off-topic, but I'm posting it in a newer thread rather than one that's 3 days old.

I caught the beginning of Dateline on NBC this evening, and they were interviewing the two NYPD guys upon whom Oliver Stone is basing his new movie.

There were two noteworthy comments: In the first, one guy said when they arrived at Tower 2 it looked like a car bomb had gone off because the lobby was destroyed. Second, when they were trapped under the rubble of the Twin Towers, they said they heard what sounded like rapid gunfire, which they were later told was coming from Building 7.

Supposedly there is more footage from the interviews with these guys on, but I haven't checked it out yet to see if there are any other interesting pieces.

Does anyone have a copy of this interview, or checked the website to see if that segment is featured there? I'm referring to the WTC7 comments in specific. I want a copy of this very badly. There aren't very many occurences of people actually using the gunfire term, so those are always at a premium, and there are probably close to 0 occasions of people describing anything close to gunfire/demolition sounds when it comes to building 7 in specific, especially from anyone in that kind of position and situation. It's actually a proven fact that those 2 men were trapped underground, and they weren't civilians either, so it's a bit more credible than anyone else just talking about the event after the fact.

I did see parts of the Dateline feature, but wasn't paying full attention and I missed the part in question, however I am aware of the situation those 2 men were in, being trapped underground. This is definitely a unique experience and a unique perspective, and for one of them to say that they heard gunfire sounds at the time of the building 7 collapse after being trapped under rubble all day long, it's a pretty big statement. I've never heard anything quite like that with regards to WTC7. You also have to consider the fact that these were NYPD officers trapped underground and weren't just civilians, and would therefore probably be considered to have more credibility than anyone else who could say they heard something similar. They're definitely unique witnesses and it's a unique comment.

Also, if it was both of them

Also, if it was both of them who heard the same sounds together, simultaneously, then that makes it stronger as well. I don't think there's any case of two people together claiming to have heard actual gunfire 'popping' sounds, while they were together, if that was the case. There's usually a difference between all the people who heard explosions, vs people actually using that 'gunfire' term, which means, to me at least, the typical rapid and successive crackling sound at the start of a controlled demolition. If it was just explosions, the usual comments to describe the sounds are 'bombs going off' or 'big explosions', rather than choosing the word gunfire in specific.

The Shame of Being An

The Shame of Being An American

Do you know that Israel is engaged in ethnic cleansing in southern Lebanon? Israel has ordered all the villagers to clear out. Israel then destroys their homes and murders the fleeing villagers. That way there is no one to come back and nothing to which to return, making it easier for Israel to grab the territory, just as Israel has been stealing Palestine from the Palestinians.

Do you know that one-third of the Lebanese civilians murdered by IsraelÂ’s attacks on civilian residential districts are children? That is the report from Jan Egeland, the emergency relief coordinator for the UN. He says it is impossible for help to reach the wounded and those buried in rubble, because Israeli air strikes have blown up all the bridges and roads. Considering how often (almost always) Israel misses Hizbollah targets and hits civilian ones, one might think that Israeli fire is being guided by US satellites and US military GPS. DonÂ’t be surprised at US complicity. Why would the puppet be any less evil than the puppet master?

Of course, you donÂ’t know these things, because the US print and TV media do not report them.

Because Bush is so proud of himself, you do know that he has blocked every effort to stop the Israeli slaughter of Lebanese civilians. Bush has told the UN “NO.” Bush has told the European Community “NO.” Bush has told the pro-American Lebanese prime minister “NO.” Twice. Bush is very proud of his firmness. He is enjoying Israel’s rampage and wishes he could do the same thing in Iraq.
