Call CSpan Monday Morning

Les Jamieson of urges us to call into Cspan to discuss the Alex Jones symposium:

call . . . in to C-SPAN starting Mon. morning to talk it up about the Jones event. Here are the numbers.

202-737-0002 Democrats

Now's our time for a big media and legislative push, folks. Please take an hour or so starting Monday to seize this opportunity."

If you can't actually get on CSpan, at least thank them for showing the roundtable and encourage them to do more to cover 9/11.

Jamieson also says "email C-SPAN's morning show called Washington Journal at and urge them to have some of our top [9/11 truth] luminaries on there."

i totally agree Jon. not

OT: Is it easier to be evil

OT: Is it easier to be evil than good? I am feeling more like it is these days. Throwing in the towel and putting the blinders back on may not be such a bad idea.

My relationship with my neighbor seems to have deteriorated since I discussed my 9/11 views with him.
My wife is pissed at me and thinks I'm overreacting.
Activists are called hecklers, smeared and ridiculed by the mainstream media, yet crooks and liars are given promotions.
But worst of all, murdering innocent kids has become acceptable because we're going after "the terrorists".

What happened? How did we get here? Everything has been goddamed turned inside out, upside down, and backwards. And I've never felt so miserable before in my life. I'm pissed off, and feel helplessly shitty.

Anyone else feel the same way?

...please God, let the truth

MediaPuppet> Well read up on

Well read up on some high profile whistleblowers in recent years not only after 9/11 exclusively..

-lost jobs and careers
-ruined marriages and family relationships
-strain on own health and mind..
-limited public acknowledgment

This is what 9/11 activits risk to some degree as well..

So is it worth it?
Well from the long term it definately is but be prepared..

Would I act as uncle Dick "Death" Cheney in his position? Well perhaps yes but I'm not in his position at the moment, so lets storm the palace and down with the tyrant!

MediaPuppet, It is easier to

It is easier to be evil than to be good. I learned this lesson the hard way, and it almost cost me my family. It did cost me my career.

9/11 has had a profound affect on m3 personally, professionally and spiritually. Who among us hasn't thought to himself, "what's the point?" "Why not just do what feels good? To hell with the consequences!"

Especially when the world seems to be controlled by the evildoers.

I've paid a price for that kind of negative thinking. I think because I know the truth, that I have a special obligation to live the truth. I believe in karma. I believe that if you know better, but still make the conscious choice to do evil, that it comes back on you quicker and harsher.

Again, I'm using my own personal experiences as my example.

"Freedom is not worth having

"Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."

"Honest differences are often a healthy sign of progress."

"Honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress."

"I cannot teach you violence, as I do not myself believe in it. I can only teach you not to bow your heads before any one even at the cost of your life."

"I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent."

"In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth."

"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?"

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

"Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err. It passes my comprehension how human beings, be they ever so experienced and able, can delight in depriving other human beings of that precious right."

Yup, that is what seems to keep us going until the end. Thx man.

"Jon, you have all those

"Jon, you have all those quotes memorized? Thanks for those."

Phhh... BWAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm not that bright.

The only quote I have memorized from Ghandi went something like...

"I like your Christ. I don't like your Christians. Your Christians are nothing like your Christ."

I'm assuming he was

I'm assuming he was referring to people like Bush.

I think this might be an inappropriate discussion for here.

Chris and MediaPuppet: I

Chris and MediaPuppet:

I have similar thoughts and experiences. I told my wife about the proposed legislation to arrest US citizens indefinitely and she said "I'll come visit you once a week."

There are few I can discuss this with, and they are struggling with the same kinds of personal issues, searching for the meaning. I am trying to figure how how I can transverse myself from a position of unemployment (I speak out too often for my own good) into a place where I can teach and lead others to some form of personally-grounded connection and excellence. I think there ought to be a special thread or blog for 911 truthers to talk amongst themselves; perhaps there is a way in which we can support each other on a personal level. 9/11 was a shock-inducing event by design, and the only way we can help heal others and the nation/world is to move down that path of healing and change on a personal level together.

“We have not even to risk the adventure alone; for the heroes of all time have gone before us; the labyrinth is thoroughly known;
we have only to follow the thread of the hero path.

And where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god;
where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves;
where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the centre of our existence;
where we had thought to be alone,
we shall be with all the world."
Joseph Campbell
In “Going Home” (Robert Patterson)

Nor should you be forced to

Nor should you be forced to believe in a God. I see no evidence that there is a "God". Yet, honestly, it is nice to think that there might be one. It is nice to think that someday I will be reunited with those people I've loved, and lost throughout my life. It is nice to think that after all of life's pains, there is a place at the end that will only be joy.

Yet, I see no evidence of this.

I believe that "God" was

I believe that "God" was created a looooooooooooong time ago. When fire was first discovered... what was then, man, created their own fire, etc... then they saw lightning strike a tree, and it burst into flames... not knowing what the lightning was, they thought there must be somebody "bigger", in the sky... that created the fire.

Something like that. As a result, it's been ingrained in us over time, to believe there is a God.

Or, "God" was created because as mortals, we fear our mortality, and refuse to believe there's nothing after death.

I don't know. There are smarter people than me looking into this.

sounds like your agnostic

sounds like your agnostic Jon. thats the most rational position in my opinion. we all want to believe theres something more.hopefully there is, but i have yet to see anything close to proof, so i'll stay agnostic.

I also think religion has been used throughout history to start wars that go against the teachings of those particular religions. That is wrong.

athiest means you have absolutely no faith that there is anything more. you sound like you have at least a tiny bit like myself. even if it is mostly just wishful thinking.

Jon's view almost sounds ontological in nature. Essentially "God" is that which nothing greater than can be conceived.

Shayler is Silenced

London Mirror | July 30 2006

EX-MI5 agent David Shayler was yesterday prevented for good from disclosing information obtained in his employment.

The Attorney General won a final injunction against him at London's High Court to replace a 1997 interim order.

The judgment followed the conclusion of criminal proceedings, which began with Shayler's conviction under the Official Secrets Act in November 2002, for which he got six months.

Shayler, ordered to pay costs after representing himself, was "likely to continue to make disclosures that could endanger lives" if he were not restrained, the court heard.

World News

The Times July 28, 2006

Israel backed by army of cyber-soldiers
From Yonit Farago in Jerusalem
WHILE Israel fights Hezbollah with tanks and aircraft, its supporters are campaigning on the internet.

IsraelÂ’s Government has thrown its weight behind efforts by supporters to counter what it believes to be negative bias and a tide of pro-Arab propaganda. The Foreign Ministry has ordered trainee diplomats to track websites and chatrooms so that networks of US and European groups with hundreds of thousands of Jewish activists can place supportive messages.

In the past week nearly 5,000 members of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) have downloaded special “megaphone” software that alerts them to anti-Israeli chatrooms or internet polls to enable them to post contrary viewpoints. A student team in Jerusalem combs the web in a host of different languages to flag the sites so that those who have signed up can influence an opinion survey or the course of a debate.

Jonny Cline, of the international student group, said that Jewish students and youth groups with their understanding of the web environment were ideally placed to present another side to the debate.

“We’re saying to these people that if Israel is being bashed, don’t ignore it, change it,” Mr Cline said. “A poll like CNN’s takes just a few seconds to vote in, but if thousands take part the outcome will be changed. What’s vital is that the international face of the conflict is balanced.”

Doron Barkat, 29, in Jerusalem, spends long nights trawling the web to try to swing the debate Israel’s way. “When I see internet polls for or against Israel I send out a mailing list to vote for Israel,” he said. “It can be that after 15 minutes there will be 400 votes for Israel.

“It’s very satisfying. There are also forums where Lebanese and Israelis talk.”

IsraelÂ’s Foreign Ministry must avoid direct involvement with the campaign but is in contact with international Jewish and evangelical Christian groups, distributing internet information packs.

Amir Gissin, the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s public relations director, said: “The internet’s become a leading tool for news, shaping the world view of millions. Our problem is the foreign media shows Lebanese suffering, but not Israeli. We’re bypassing that filter by distributing pictures showing how northern Israelis suffer from Katyusha rocket attacks.”

Israel apologized for the deaths but blamed Hezbollah guerrillas, saying they had fired rockets into northern Israel from near the building. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the campaign to crush Hezbollah would continue, telling Rice it could last another two weeks.

"We will not stop this battle, despite the difficult incidents this morning," he told his Cabinet after the strike, according to a participant. "If necessary, it will be broadened without hesitation."

Like a well-aimed

Like a well-aimed thunderbolt on your chosen people's leaders. Oops.

I never thought I would say

I never thought I would say this but the movement is over. This was our moment and we blew it. 90 minutes on CSPAN was the MOST we could have ever asked for. And we blew it.

The single crucial mistake the ASS conference made was preaching to the choir. That is, they spoke to the crowd as if everyone was already convinced (which they probably were but CSPAN as a whole is not). Obvously, any clear-thinking person can discern that the official story has huge gaps in it. But our most precious 90 minutes was clouded by true "conspiracy". Although things may fall into place all across the board, we need to approach this like a prosecutor would apporoach a criminal case -- narrow and focused. There is so much credible and specific evidence available -- why would the panelists speak in such broad terms?

The conference should have been as such, in whichever order you like:

Alex Jones: Overview of the historical context of state-sponsored "terrorism". Specifically Northwoods & Tonkin; that's it. No bloviating. Explain what you can prove.

David Ray Griffin: Overview of the strongest points in his two books; The New Pearl Harbor & 9/11 Ommisison Report. Essentially the lecture he gave on BookTV.

Paul Thompson: Get into the nitty gritty of the flaws in the official story vis a vis a detailed timeline. Again, narrow and focused. Perhaps focus on the specifics of Bush's actions that day or the buried news reports that cast legitimate doubt on the official story (General Ahmad's meeting, military wargames prior to and on 9/11, etc.)

Jeff King: The same exact powerpoint presentation that we have all seen. Detailed overview of the physics of the collapses. Again, focus on "squibs", physical evidence, rapidity of WTC7 collapse, etc.

Michael Ruppert: Discussion on "peak oil" and other feasible motives. Focus on big business profits and geopolitical implications of 9/11 and American hegemony.

Kristen Breitwesier: Smart and savvy 9/11 widow that can speak of her trouble in geting the 9/11 whitewash commission formed.

That's it. Twenty minutes each. Boom.

By "preaching to the choir", the panel failed to present any credible evidence that would get the average CSPAN viewer (who is most certainly at least somewhat open-minded) thinking about it. We have to understand that for most people this is UNthinkable -- that our government would perpetrate such a crime. You convince them by presenting specific and provocative evidence -- i.e. war games, WTC7, thermal hot spots, Mineta testimony, Sibel Edmonds, Phoenix Memo, and specifically Osama bin Laden & the FBI. When you trigger that slight sense of doubt, the dam begins to crack. You need to intrigue people enough to take it upon themselves to look into it. By spouting true "conspiracy", by which I mean speaking in broad terms (the "government" and
"they"), the Symposium most likely turned off more people than it turned on.

Mike, you have a point. They

Mike, you have a point. They should've at least shown some video of WTC-7 or something for Christ's sake!!! When exactly
